"not offer a dedicated bus service"

Trip Verified | My flight today from Munich was departing at a remote position. Unfortunately, there are many remote positions at Munich airport and especially at Terminal 2. The airline did not offer a dedicated bus service for Business Class. Therefore, there is no point in booking a priority service or sitting in the front rows. Waiting times at passport were also long.

"the Info-Gate-system directed me to the wrong gate"

Trip Verified | I missed my connecting flight because the Info-Gate-system directed me to the wrong gate! A delay of 12 hours for a 3 hours flight and the group I was traveling with was split up. Worst of all after my trip I contacted the airport asking for an explanation. After many denials I got a clear answer: the mistake was caused by a computer software failure but the airport did not give me any compensation. Only a voucher of €50 which I could use at their airport (1000km away). 5-star Munich airport feels no responsibility. Everybody can make a mistake but the way they have handled my complaint deserves no-star at all.

"efficiency and no frills"

Trip Verified | I am not interested in the fact that you can surf at Munich Airport in summer and that there is a Christmas market in winter - or that there are great Bavarian restaurants. I want efficiency and no frills. The important points for me are fast check-in, short queues and short distances. But the worst of all is the baggage reclaim. Whenever possible I try not to check in any luggage. I recently had to wait over 50 minutes for my luggage. Unfortunately the situation has not improved in the last years.

"Luggage delivery is consistently slow"

Trip Verified | Luggage delivery at Munich airport is consistently slow. Like almost everyone else I had to wait an hour at the luggage belt for the bags to arrive. There were some bags after 20 minutes but that was it. The rest came later. Priority luggage was unloaded last. This service does not merit 4 stars or even 5 stars.

"baggage delivery took a very long time"

Trip Verified | I flew from Newark to Munich in Business Class. Passport control was okay but the baggage delivery took a very long time. The first couple of bags arrived within 25 minutes so that the airport can claim that they met their key performance indicator. After that for a long time nothing came out and then the other bags were delivered. No priority was given to priority tagged bags, instead they were delivered last. Actually it seems like you are better off not having a priority bag tag. Not a pleasant experience waiting an hour or so on my bag. Not enough seating at the baggage claim area. No shops, no nothing.

"luggage wait about two hours"

Trip Verified | Have travelled to Munich now two times with skiing luggage and on both times the luggage waiting time at the airport after landing has been about two hours. Where is the so-called German efficiency? Not at this airport.

"was very impressed"

Trip Verified | I have used here before and was very impressed. This time my baggage got lost and I was making a connecting flight to Dublin. The Lufthansa booking in staff couldnt do enough to help me locate the missing bag and I left on my home flight without my luggage. The very next day I got a phone call from Dublin airport telling me my bag would be delivered to my home the next day and it was. My thanks go to all the folk who helped. They did a great job.

"Terminal 2 itself is nice"

Trip Verified | This time I was arriving at Terminal 2. Even though I had a priority tagged bag I had to wait a very long time for my luggage. To connect between the remote Star Alliance terminal to the main terminal also takes long. Passport control was quick on the other hand I was one of the first passengers to deplane. Terminal 2 itself is nice. If the airport improves waiting times the airport could actually be nice.

"Arriving at Munich is horrible"

Trip Verified | We are a group of skiers and we were traveling to the mountains to/from Munich. Departing from Munich was good and we loved having a beer at the Airbräu restaurant and then board at terminal 1. Arriving at Munich is horrible! Passport control is incredibly slow. But luggage delivery is even slower. I have no idea how they handle it - it seems like they really do not care. Our airplane was only half full otherwise we would still be waiting for the luggage I think. Even the critized hub airports and the worst Eastern European airports are better than Munich when it comes to baggage delivery.

"the worst airport experience"

Trip Verified | I was standing in a queue to drop my bag more than 2 hours in advance (before it actually started). Then I went to the security check which is unreasonably long (1 hour). Then I was staying for 40 min for passport check - for now EU citizens it was a long queue with just 3 cabins working. Families with children staying there as well and risk to miss a flight. Eventually I got through the queue and was at the gate when it was closing - 30 min before departure. Ryanair had to wait others like me who slowly passed the control. Arriving 2.5 hrs before the departure I was barely able to get into the flight. This is the worst airport experience.
