✅ Verified Review | While Terminal 2 of the Mumbai International Airport is new and much improved in services, there is now one big shortcoming which is quite irritating whenever arriving. The arrivals are on floor 6 and car park is on floor 5. A simple ramp could have easily made passengers arriving on 6th floor to move quickly to 5th floor where cars are being parked. However the process is quite trying and agonising. One has to wait for the lift most of the time which are occupied by passengers going upto the 10th floor for departures or people coming down from the 10th floor after seeing off their guests. Add to the problem is there only one way to enter and exit lifts which is so messy unlike the entry on one side and exit on the other side which is the feature common in many airports that makes mobility easier. Its jostling crowd in the lifts with luggage carts going upto departures at 10th floor and passengers are trying to get into the lifts even those going up lest they do not miss the lift that will come down later. A very unpleasant experience for an international airport. Once I saw a couple of lifts on repair and what is left out is utter chaos and disorder taking nearly 20 t0 30 minutes for coming from 6th floor to 5th floor which if a ramp could have been provided passengers can glide through very smoothly and undisturbed. I am still not able to understand the mind of the engineers who thought up such a complicated way to move across just one floor.

✅ Verified Review | Arguably the worst parking arrangements - park in one place, then go to another to a manned post who only possess it through a machine for time stamping. Then park the car again and pay in a completely different place. Come back and go to another exit where there are scouts of men doing absolutely nothing but throwing their weight around. Argue with them because they want the card which you've already submitted to the cashier while paying the parking fee. Amazing comedy of errors, shoes of people employed doing nothing but harassing, security people who harass because you've parked the car to go and pay!

✅ Verified Review | The airport is a mess with international and domestic departures being separated. Some airways like Jet Airways prefer to use terminal 2 (international departures) even for domestic flights while GoAir etc is in terminal 1A/B. There is no shuttle between both the terminals. Taxi outside would charge you 450₹ from terminal 1 to terminal 2. No proper guidelines upon arriving. Have to keep seeking help of airport staff to get to the airline gates. E-boarding pass not allowed, they require you to carry hard copies. If you do not carry a boarding pass hard copy, there's a travel agent (Akbar travels) who does this at exuberant price of 100₹ per page. Shopping though is good, wide range of shops for all needs.

Mumbai Airport (Terminal 2) has much improved over the years. Upon arrival, immigration was fast, they have separate counters for business class (did not need them) and baggage delivery fairly quick. ´From leaving the plane until I was out with my bags it took less than 20 mins. Outside arrival hall is a pick-up area where hotel buses pick you up. Very well organized. Similar experience upon departure. They check your ticket when trying to enter the departure hall, but no queues. Check-in, security passport control was fast and staff was friendly. Swiss lounge was decent with sufficient seating and food options. Lots of shopping options, though everything is totally overprized. Departure area spacious and clean. Airport has free wifi, but in order to use it you need an Indian mobile number, otherwise you cannot receive an sms with access code. They don't allow sms access to foreign phone numbers. Only airline lounges provide proper wifi access. Overall a very positive experience.

Mumbai airport Terminal 2 is 10 years behind the times. No proper sign boards and people are finding it difficult to reach the boarding gates. There is no connectivity to the metro - there should be automatic walkways. Immigration lines do not have proper digital sign boards. T2 highway is congested. Staff seem to have limited knowledge of the airport. Lifts are always under maintenance. However, food courts inside are food, as is the cleanliness inside. Security is nice and well managed and the lighting is good.

✅ Verified Review | Flew by the brand new Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport. This is an amazing example of creating more opportunities in a limited space. The airport seemed very clean and also has an amazing design. Everything was clear in our minds and we had no confusion of the check-in counters and other things. The Wi-Fi also had a very good connectivity and had a great speed. The staff were also very helpful and listen to one's problems very patiently. All the duty free shops contained a wide variety of brands and services. Overall experience was fantastic.

Flew round-trip between Mumbai and London on Jet Airways. Upon arrival in Mumbai, I was done with Immigration, baggage claim, and customs in 45 minutes. While departing Mumbai, passport control lines were very long. I really liked the ambiance in the boarding area, very pleasant lighting, decor, and music playing in the background. The airport also has very good dining and shopping options. I was not impressed by the bathrooms (both the quantity of stalls and their cleanliness).

✅ Verified Review | One of my worst airport transfers. Usually at other airports, you get out of an aircraft, walk a few meters and the transfers area allows you to clear security and join the hold area without any hassle. But here at Mumbai, once you're out of an aircraft, walk all the way to the exit and and then go up to the check-in hall where again you walk miles to get to the gate. Although the terminal is swanky and clean, the process of transfer can be made easier on passengers. Then one has to sit in the aircraft for hours until we get clearance for take-off. The traffic out here is too much and a single runway cannot handle these many flights.

✅ Verified Review | On 11 Aug was returning to Oman with my elderly parents, travelling by business class. If you hold a business class ticket, Mumbai International airport has no counter for business class passenger (has a counter but not operational) and have to queue in the economy class line. Very rude immigration officer - have no respect if you are an elderly lady or an elderly on wheelchair. The police at the security check counter (four of them on two counters) were busy chatting away, taking their own sweet time to even check the computer screens, least bother to stamp the hand luggage (this is how Indian airport security functions) - for their negligence I had to go back in the queue to go through the security check all over again. The whole thing took us more than 90 minutes to be done and hardly had any time at the business class lounge. Most horrible experience. Such police men and immigration officer are disgrace to our country.

Mumbai is an airport that has character and personality. It has all the amenities of a western airport. Clean washrooms, excellent shopping and food options are all there. And being in India, it is very Indian in architecture and feel. Truly an exceptional airport - I enjoyed both my arrival and departure as both were smooth and without any issues at all.
