Chose Korean due to reading about their above average legroom (34-35" in Economy). Auckland to Seoul in an older 777 which was clean but the entertainment somewhat limited in choice. Food was quite poor compared to other airlines the two western choices we had were below average and the Bibimbap was also average. Cabin crew were attentive and friendly great service and seemed to be in good spirits. Seats a bit dated but Korean's good legroom makes up for it. Nice to get an amenity kit with slippers etc. Seoul to London Heathrow in a newer 777 but again the journey was let down by the quality of the food and the limited range of movies and shorts although the system was newer and had a larger screen. Service and legroom excellent. Zurich to Seoul and Seoul to Auckland same as above. Had free stopover on the way up at the Hyatt which was great but on the way back they didn't offer the same sadly. Would use Korean again around Asia but to Europe they are lagging behind compared to other airlines. Their legroom is very good though especially for tall people like me.

Just returned from our trip to Japan. First and last we will travel with Korean Air. From NZ to Korea the aircraft was ok but old and the entertainment screen was low quality. From Korea to Japan our aircraft changed and the plane was much bigger and newer. The lounge was really basic and ordinary especially the one in Japan. On the way back we had a newer plane from Japan to Korea but the plane was so dirty. They didn't have enough of the food provided and by the time they got to me I just had just one option of eel. In Korea the lounge was really basic and by the time we got there there wasn't much food left. However the flight from Korea to NZ was good.

GRU-LAX-ICN-HKG Aug 2013. Cabin crews were efficient welcoming and very attentive. Check in service in Sao Paulo was managed by the airport and supervised by a few Korean Air staffs. The whole process was quick and smooth. Check in at Los Angeles was worse although the staff were from Korean Air. They were not rude but provided no greetings or smile not even a sorry when they misunderstood that I had 32 kg of free baggage instead of 23 kg since I was from Brazil. Very comfortable on A380 and 77W. Although the Beyond entertainment system was not as extensive as Emirates or Cathay Pacific it was enough to keep me entertained. The system was also in many languages and user-friendly. 744 was not as good but still clean and well maintained. All flights arrive early. Meals got better compared to previous flights with them and menu was provided on GRU-LAX only. Choices of snacks also increased. Korean Air should be among the best of the four stars airlines or even deserves an upgrade to five stars when the English standard of cabin crews is improved.

ICN-HKG HKG-ICN. Probably one of the best airlines I have been on! Cabin crew were polite friendly and welcoming. Food was very traditional Korean which was nice. Seats beverages and standard amenities in the cabin were fairly standard. This was truly service with a smile! Fully recommend this airline and I'd certainly travel on this airline again!

BNE-ICN-LHR and return in June. BNE-ICN sectors on A330-300 and ICN-LHR sectors on B777-200ER. Aircraft are very modern and clean - the extra pitch/seat width in economy is excellent. Cabin crew professional and attentive. I've no complaints/recommendations whatsoever - smooth check-in flights were great didn't lose my bags. Highly recommend Korean Air.

Travelled as a family of 2 adults and 3 children (age 12 12 and 13) from Auckland to LHR return via ICN. Very easy check-in and transfers at all airports. Good seat pitch for economy. Very smiling and attentive crew on all legs to and from Auckland to London. Great transfer layoff at ICN between AKL-LHR at hotel arranged as part of the ticket price. Food OK but not the best economy food I've had. Entertainment again OK with enough for adults to be entertained but would recommend taking additional entertainment if travelling with 7-13 year olds. Planes were very clean. Overall this was a very good experience and certainly an airline and route we would use again to travel from New Zealand to the UK.

4 flights with them in June round trip from HKG-JFK on A380 and HKG-LAX-GRU on A380 and 77W. May not have the best inflight entertainment the best meals in the industry or the best amenity kit for economy class yet the friendliness of the crews and the seat pitch stand out. Crews are cheerful attentive and charming. Their service level is consistent. Important to point out that they keep the cabin clean and are very organized when handling special meals or assistance to elderly or children. I deduct one mark for inflight meal as the portion was too small. There are snacks between meals (do not receive any on LAX-GRU though). I hope Korean Air can improve its meal quality and distribute menu in the flights.

FRA to ICN and back. A380 hard and soft product very good. Like to point out that KE smartphone app is very user friendly and let's you preselect seats even in coach and easy online check-in. Well done KE! ICN airport is definitely one of the best airports from a passenger stand point an added plus.

2 July 2013 Washington Dulles to for Seoul Incheon KE094. 11 July 2013 Seoul Incheon for Washington Dulles KE093. Each seat had no air conditioning control. The temp was around 85 degrees which is unacceptable. The air was turned on about 3 times each way of the 14 hour flight. Rows are announced by staff to start boarding but everyone lines up. Tickets checked and they allow everyone to board regardless of seat number. Creates a delay in boarding. Boarding process is chaos and very unorganized at Dulles Airport and Incheon. I bought water after passing through TSA we found a second security check and they took my water just 10 feet before the cabin door.

I flew KE631/632 from ICN-CEB/CEB-ICN in May. IFE was nice and the seat has 35 inch pitch and was very comfortable. I ordered a special meal (Seafood) and was salmon baked vegetables and pasta which was great. Only disappointment was that I couldn't see the crew during the flight. I was thirsty but there were no crew they were focusing on selling duty free items. All crews were kind and their English was good.
