I'm a BMi Star Alliance Gold Card member so normally use the United and BMi lounges. On a recent
visit to Berlin I travelled with KLM and used their lounge in Amsterdam. On arrival I was greeted
by a pleasant member of staff and informed that my flight would be called. It was very busy on
arrival around 6pm but I found a comfortable seat pretty easily which had an electric socket
built into it which is incredibly handy. Had a bowl of soup and some sausages, crackers and cheese which were ok.
No sandwiches or other meals on offer.

Crowded upon entry but found seat after short wait. Free Wi-Fi but limited electrical plug-ins.
Limited self-serve bar and food. Welcoming staff courteous. But saw one guest get into a virtual
argument with staff putting out newspapers (staff wanted guest to wait until she had put all the
papers out; guest wanted to take one from the cart; staff won)

Lounge near F Gate (E Gate was full as usual). Staff at reception friendly. Looked packed with people but there
were still a lot of empty seat available. Comfort of seat is good, view is great overlooking the platform. Drinks
okay but nothing special to eat, only some cookies and instant soup. I don't mind that since I'll have a good
meal on board later on. Newspapers available. Washroom was spotless. When I left the lounge to board my flight I
saw that the large (and I do mean large) smokers area was rather empty. May be a little to large, that area?
Anyway, not a bad experience at all.

Again in Amsterdam Airport and again trying to get access to the KLM Crown lounge (close to gate E).
As always the lounge is packed and outside the lounge a sign is stating "Full". I wonder if KLM ever
bothers to take the sign away. Passengers are then diverted to another KLM lounge, about 200 meters
in the direction of gate F. Equally full, not interested staff. Decided to go in anyway, after some
time found a not comfortable seat.
Papers and magazines all in use, food mediocre, bar & beverages
very crowded and not very clean. I decided to the leave the lounge and get to the ABNAMRO lounge,
which is more quiet, more personal and certainly more welcoming.
The fact that I am a For Life Platinum frequent flyer doesnot count a lot with KLM.

Very disappointing. Whilst the airport is one of the convenient ones, with leather sofas for passengers,
a little museum etc, this KLM lounge is a joke.
No free internet access, no real food. Besides the free drinks, no added value.

A very disappointing experience.
No free internet access - only given if you are a platinum card
holder. Anything less than that has to pay for it.
Worse still, no access to shower rooms either - again kept only for Platinum card holders.
Not very appealing for a premium class passenger
transiting after an ultra long haul flight. Very limited food options.
