First impressions are important and one is not let down despite the disorganisation of T5. Immediately after leaving security (to the right) there is a doorway to the Concorde Room. A
member of the BA ground staff checks your boarding card, and opens the door for you. Immediately, you enter a warm and friendly environment. The lighting is not so bright to be
dark but just right. There is the usual coat and bag check. The furnishings are plush and inviting. The addition of fireplaces really creates a cozy environment. The bar area is
immaculate and well staffed. The availability of magazines and newspapers is good. The outside terrace area is also very nice. You have a rather good view of the interior of the
airport whilst being able to gaze outside. The dining area cannot not be faulted. You are shown to your table, the menu given to you and your order taken in an almost breathless
motion but without feeling rushed. Outside of the lounge, as you would enter from the main lounge area, is the Elemis Spa. This is an absolute must for anyone about to board a long-
haul flight! However, I would recommend booking an appointment straightaway so as not to be disappointed about the range of services provided. Finally, the lavatories are certainly not
standard. Each is its own room or cabin with a bidet and, of course, Elemis care products. The only difficulty I had was the so-called free Wifi service. Connectivity was a little cumbersome.

My previous experience at the Frankfurt lounge was abysmal. This was surprising considering that I fly in and out of Frankfurt on a somewhat regular basis. However, I did write a
complaint to BA about the state of the Frankfurt lounge. Even though I indicated that it was not necessary to contact me about my complaint, no less than two days later I received a
phone call from BA asking me about my experience. This surprised me, as an e-mail would have sufficed. BA Frankfurt really cleaned up their act (literally). Whereas before the lounge was
messy and the availability of food meager, now it was clean and a better range of snacks and nibbles was provided. I like the addition of the computers and internet service. The wifi
system is as cumbersome as it is in LHR T5, but once you get there it is fine. Overall, well done to BA for getting its act together in Frankfurt!

A small cosy area, and although nicely appointed, was rather let down by stained and worn
carpeting/chairs. Although despite that it was clean and neat. A good selection of papers and
magazines was available, and as this was a morning visit, a breakfast bar with crisp rolls, meats,
cheeses jams etc. was laid out. All in all, a haven of peace for passengers who want to relax.

Flying to NYC and used the South lounges as these are deemed to be less crowded than the North ones.
Unhappy person checking boarding cards and no help offered if you have never been to the lounge
before to help you navigate. Once inside a great place to relax, eat, rest and people watch. Self
service hot and cold buffet breakfasts were good and the Spa is a great place to escape. Most
longhaul flights leave from Satellite B and there is another full lounge facility there. Although
smaller its a lot quieter and feels more cozy than the bigger ones in the main terminal. BA have
raised the benchmark although toilet facilities a bit sparse.

This lounge is located at the north side of terminal 5, and is surprisingly on top of the Concord
and First lounges. Although quite large it is made up of modular sections and gives the feeling of
different rooms. Upon entering you can either turn left; Customer Service desk, Coffee bar and
armchair seating, newspapers/mags and a view through large windows. Or turn right; a food bar,
drinks bar, lots of bottles of wine in racks, eating seating; carry on to a computer section with
20+- computer points; further on scattered tables and armchairs with lots of newspapers/mags, to WCs
L/H side (large cubicles and very well appointed); still further, a small cinema (large screen TV)
which has either side seating with coffee bars and drink bars. Both the final areas overlook part of
the Security Check stations and concourse. Despite being quite busy you could find plenty of seating
away from the crowds.

Cathay Pacific passengers on Biz/First are directed to the British Airways Lounge in Terminal 7 of
JFK. The Business lounge is a delight. It is very spacious with many seating options. There are
computer stations as well as an onsite Elemis spa. There is a TV viewing room as well. The lounge
is very clean and provides complimentary newspapers and a good choice of magazines. The catering
was very nice. There were many options regarding top of the line beverage choices as well as many
snack choices. Was very happy with the quality and quantity of the food choices. The wireless
internet worked very well and the facilities were nice. Did not try the shower rooms, but the
bathrooms were nice considering it was JFK. There was not much staff interaction, but when I first
arrived, the staff appeared overwhelmed by the amount of glassware and garbage that was around, but
after the BA flight to Heathrow boarded, they were able to clean up the mess. Since the CX flight I
took left later than the BA flight, once the BA passengers left, the lounge was quieter and cleaner.

A brand new lounge, which fails to meet passenger needs. The First area has 12 comfortable seats,
not enough for a full cabin, even without Gold Card holders using it. The Club area is lacking in
seating. Staff are friendly and pre-flight food is good. |

Rather pedestrian and only adequate. Little in the way of food and almost all of it cold. Very
utilitarian with only minimal effort made to produce any coziness or ambience.

I visited both South and North lounges as I had lots of time on hands. They are both big although
the North lounge seemed bigger. Good choice of breakfast and lunch food. very good choice of red
wine. I like the canteen wine rack they keep in the wine area. Really disappointing with the
magazine selection. Maybe BA is cutting costs on those? The selection of UK and foreign newspapers
was rather good though. Very good sized individual toilet facilities.
