The snacks in this lounge were quite disappointing with a few biscuits and vegetables, up until the
moment I was leaving, then Sandwiches were being served. I couldn't quite work this out why they
didn't serve these earlier, but I managed to take a few sandwiches with me when I left. Aside from
this, the lounge was reasonably quiet and the chairs were very comfortable, so comfortable in fact,
I fell asleep for an hour. Announcements were very clear and important information such as flight
delays was given with plenty of notice and an explanation given. I did notice the bin near my seat
was full and unemptied, but the tables were cleared regularly. Only real complaint is the screens
that divide the lounge up into smaller sections don't really insulate against sound, so I was able
to hear someone on their cell phone in the next section. Would still use the lounge again however,
if only for the comfortable seating.

There are around 19 seats in the lounge - just check how many seats there are on a 777 in
Business Class. That meant several people had to stand for an hour or two before boarding. Food and
beverages are scanty and low quality. If you are there when the sandwiches arrive, count yourself
lucky! Broadband is only available at exhorbitant cost (when will BA wake up to the modern world, and realise broadband is just part of the service in
business class ?) The toilets are OK for 19 seats, but for 30 people! This lounge just is
not viable at all, but I guess no influential BA managers ever travel to Kingston so it will never get better.

What a great lounge! Lots of comfy sofas, chairs, and plenty of sandwiches, salads, fruits, cakes,
etc, not to mention a range of champagnes. A good menu is available for those who want a more formal
meal too.
Truly a great spot to relax, sip (the range of) champagne and wait for one's flight.

Whenever I've used this lounge, it's never been busy and seats are always available. The
refreshments have got much better of late with smoked salmon sandwiches and all manner of treats
starting to be served.
The washrooms all have Molton Brown toiletries and there are showers and plenty of clean white fluffy towels.

The Concorde Room (Access for full paying first customers only) was actually quite a suprise, there
was a place to eat serving 3 courses (if the flight left after 8pm and was overnight) a sit up bar,
and plenty of space to lounge around in.
If you wanted a shower, you could pop down to the Moulton Brown Shower cubicles, and if they have a
space grab a massage (I have used the lounge 8 times, and never once been able to book one!)
Internet access was ok, although I didn't travel with a laptop, there was wireless connection for
people who had their own.
The only issue I would raise would be access for under 18, this is a very
exclusive lounge and parents should not allow their children to run amok through
it. |

While the Terraces Lounge in Heathrow's Terminal 4 serves a constant flow of travelers, they
do an excellent job catering to everyone's needs. Their massage services provide gratis
reflexology, so this is a welcome service for those who require such amenities.
Their shower rooms offer exactly the privacy , especially
for those connecting to long haul flights. Comfort level is
ideal in that you can rest on their select chairs or chaise in quiet quarters during their down
times, barring their cycles of what one could call a mini-rush hour when flights are delayed
however. Lounge cleanliness is inconsistent at this Terraces where at times,
we've seen impeccable, laboratory-clean areas, to at times, unkempt places where old newspapers and
magazines are strewn along with leftover used bar glasses and napkins, perhaps they were changing
staff at the time? Their bar and beverage service offers a wide variety of beverages, while their
catering standard sets the bar high.
Internet/wifi is a cinch. Overall, staff is helpful,
knowledgeable and willing to go out of their way to help you. My major criticism would be, when do they intend to expand the number of seating as it appears to
always be at a premium when we arrive?

Decent size lounge, which was larger than I had expected given that it is only available to
passengers with a first class boarding pass. It was also surprisingly crowded, although I did not
compare it to the First Class lounge downstairs.
The Molton Brown showers and spa were fantastic, although there was a significant wait (55 minutes)
for a shower, which would have been problematic if I hadn't have arrived early. As well as a good
shower with Molton Brown products, you have the ability to have a free massage or spa treatment. It
is worthwhile allowing extra time for this.
The beverages in the lounge were all of good quality, but I was disappointed by the range.
The food was good with a reasonable menu to choose from. The wait-staff brought the food to
wherever you were sitting in the lounge.
As I was travelling without a computer, I needed to use a computer terminal. There were only 2
terminals in the lounge, although a business centre was available next door within the lounge
complex with plenty of available terminals.

The British Airways Lounge (Terminal Four) in the early afternoon was a bit busy with all the
seating overlooking the tarmac full. At one end of the lounge there are several computers offering
Internet access, Wi-fi is accessed for a fee.
The Lounge now serves a better selection of hot and
cold food. On this day a choice of Pasta Arabiata or Shanghai Noodles was on offer and being
prepared by a chef in front of you.
Fridges are well stocked with a wide range of alcoholic and non-
alcoholic beverages.
On occasion there is a short wait to use the Molton Brown showers but this time
it was straight in. The shower rooms have enough room for your bags and are clean and comfortable.
Overall a pretty good Lounge facility.

Nice layout, you can get space away from the other passengers easily.
Nice selection of breakfast when I got there (they always err on the side of healthy - but a Bacon
Sandwich is always a request away), great selection of drinks (including Champagne) and a quiet,
professional service from the staff.
There's a full restaurant for the dine before you fly routes where you can enjoy a full meal if you
want. I tend to eat on the flight so haven't tried this option, but it seems that you can eat
anytime you like there as there always seems to be someone eating no matter what the time of day.
Shower suites are great (Molton Brown spa) and this has to be one of the best lounges.
I am yet to manage to combine Heathrow T4 with a First Class flight to see if the Concorde Room is
better (guess it must be).

A small, but pleasant grotto without any natural light. It deals well with Comair 737 departures,
but I guess the 747 daily winter’s double to London would overwhelm the place. [QFclub member]
It is a small lounge well suited to BA franchise services. The location of the bar on bulk
heads in the middle of the room, helps create a little bit of intimacy.
Avoid the PC’s they are not connected to a network, and are logged onto the Administrator
account (meaning the person before you could have compromised security with viruses, key loggers,
spyware etc…) There is a excellent selection of complimentary food options (particularly in the
morning, when sandwiches and rolls are also available) and a wet-bar area that is showing a few
signs of wear and tear. It is stocked with those small sized soft-drink cans that BA loves so much
(or perhaps Australians just have big mouths, and we are use to larger cans) also there's a small
range of spirit / alcohol options.
Extremely helpful and service oriented staff. (When flying QF out of JNB, QFclub has access to the
SAA lounge. As our flight later that week was back to Sydney, we asked the front desk attendant
which lounge we should use. It was with a tone of pride that she insisted we come back to her
lounge, even though she advised we could access the next door Baobab lounge, if we wanted. Truly the
warmest welcome from someone committed to “ownership” of her job and lounge.)

A very small lounge, but with an open well lit atmosphere and good tarmac views. There is a small
spiral staircase to an upper mezzanine. [QFclub member]
Small, but copes alright when 737 flights out to DUR and JNB are well spaced. It does feel a
little pokey when full, but sitting near the large windows allows you to look out rather than in.
A small but stocked self-service area, offers standard BA lounge fare.
Front desk staff don’t seem to be the brightest sparks, and are perhaps a little more
focussed on process rather than customer service.

It's so large, it's broken down into zones, with differing seating and
lighting styles for various areas. Some seats are like sofas, some are like the wooden loungers you
can find on your back garden decking! There is also a seperate business and Internet area which is
close to the Molton Brown Spa.
The Spa itself can be busy, but the treatments and whole set-up of the MB Spa is excellent, with,
naturally, opportunity to browse and purchase MB products.
There are 2 food and drink areas to yourself to wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks, as well as
snacks, pastries and sandwiches.
For the Sleeper Service flights, there is a seperate restaurant to dine before boarding. This is a
proper carvery-style restaurant, with chef's cooking and dishing-up to order, as well as some self-
serve dishes and side orders. Wine and other drinks are on hand for you to help yourself and there
are even waitresses wandering around offering sorbet to cleanse your palate before you tuck into
desert!

I use the BA lounges frequently, and have a few favorites, one in particular is the Gatwick
lounge (which may surprise some). On arrival the staff are friendly, and call the flights. There
is a good selection of the small sachet sized toiletries. The lounge itself is on 2
floors, both of which are large and nicely laid out.
An afternoon flight to Rome, and at that time they were serving a selection of
sandwiches - Chicken, Tuna, Crayfish, Beef. All of which were very good. The snacks
are above usual standard, such as kettle chips and a nice selection of crackers and biscuits.
Drinks - they have a decent selection and will provide champagne on request, as they do at
other BA lounges. If you go to the 4th floor lounge in the morning ,they serve toast and
have small pots of marmalade etc and a good selection of pastries, cereals etc.

A very small lounge (seating 19!) on the first floor, landside with no real outlook. Ladies and Gents
toilets are a shared affair in a small room off the lounge. Compared to the rest of the airport this
lounge is an oasis but it is not ofan executive or business class lounge standard - the selection of
provisions is poor with only a large plate of fresh sandwiches and crisps being available (and I
think this was just down to good timing on my part) - there was no reprovisioning during the hour
and a half I was there - there was no milk in the fridge for tea or coffee, no fruit juices or soft
drinks other than fizzy. There was no way of telling if and when the aircraft was ready for boarding
-you have to go outside to the main concourse on the ground floor to check. Kingston is under major
development - I only hope BA has negotiated for a vast improvement when rebuilding has finished
because, at Club Class prices, BA needs to do far better. |
