LHR-BKK-LHR. Both flights left on time. Crew really friendly and attentive with nice
traditional Thai uniforms (crew got changed to a more western uniform before landing). Crew
were always bringing drinks round the cabin. The inflight entertainment was really poor on the
B747-400, a screen down the cabin which was a struggle to see on both sectors with no seat
back TV'S. The economy class seat has probably the largest reclining angle of any economy
class I have sat in. Overall a great airline with amazing service however the entertainment is
really bad so make sure you pack a book or magazine!

SYD-BKK-HKT return. Sydney to Bangkok on B777-300, all seats full but as a daytime flight was
quite reasonable. Service fine and on time. Bangkok to Phuket on A330 - short flight, on time
and all seats full again. No IFE but as flight was just over an hour it wasn't expected. Snack
was ok. Return flight Phuket to Bangkok on B747-400 and fully booked. Snack was actually
quite nice. Bangkok to Sydney on B777-300 for overnight flight. Seats were really
uncomfortable and the cabin was a bit hot and stuffy. Dinner offered was chicken pasta which
was selected by most passengers in my section or a prawn curry which no one really wanted.
FA's generally ok except for one male FA was actually quite curt and rude to my wife for no
reason. Breakfast was inedible, the tortilla wasn't cooked through and the other bits were so
bland it was bad. IFE also seemed to be slower than on the outbound flight. I would have given
a higher rating but the last sector really spoilt it for them. May consider flying with them
but there are other options to Bangkok and Phuket I would consider in the same price bracket

LHR-BKK-LHR economy. Outbound flight on time, friendly and attentive staff and food quite
decent. Similar experience on the return leg. On both flights however, the crew seemed to be
determined to have the heat on full blast. It's not very nice to sit or try and sleep in, and
does make the experience rather uncomfortable. These B747-400's are starting to appear shabby,
both inside and out. It is time for Thai Airways to invest in new planes. The lack of any
decent IFE is one thing that really lets Thai down, but overall not a bad experience and worth
the price.

KWI-BKK-CGK-BKK-KWI Business Class. KWI-BKK leg using A340-600. The aircraft relatively new,
Business Class only around 40% filled. Lie-flat new Business Class seat, quite comfortable
even though the seat is a bit narrow. Service was great, with good food and drinks, and very
courteous FA. AVOD also quite nice, with large screen. BKK-CGK leg using A330-300. Airplane
not the newest but quite nice, with a newer seat - but not lie-flat. AVOD is there and quite
nice. FA very attentive and trying hard to please in the 70% filled cabin. CGK-BKK leg with
old B777-300. Seat is the old Business Class seat from the 80's with all PTV in the armrest
with small, grainy screen. Seats very wide but the pitch is smaller than the A330 or A340.
Service was good, but still cannot replace the seat comfort. BKK-KWI again in A340-600. With
only 20% capacity, the very friendly crew lavish their attention on you, and ready to bring
you whatever you want from their service. The crew set even seek for advice on what to do in
Kuwait, since this is their first time overnight stay in Kuwait - gladly help them with some
information.

BKK-LAX nonstop, Premium Economy. They still have a non-stop to LAX! I hope they keep this
route. The plane is a relatively new A340-500. Good AVOD, although not as good as Emirates. We
arrived in decent shape considering we were traveling with a 5 year old and a 2 year old. The
Premium Economy seats offer much more legroom and are cradle style seats-they slide forward
and recline. They were fairly comfortable, but it would have been nice to have a footrest.
Service was OK, but coach level. What you get in Premium Economy is much more room. Overall a
good experience and a good value when compared to other prices/carriers to the US. I must say,
though, that moral from the check-in agents to the flight crew seems to reflect the general
gloominess of the airline industry.

CGK-BKK. Had a great deal online for BKK-CGK-BKK for 8000TBH (around 220USD). Boarding was
efficient in a barely full flight. Seat comfortable and ground crew in CGK put me in a seat
next to an empty seat. When booking the reservations, I asked for seafood meal, where the tray
came earlier than everybody else sans the main course. Waited for it for 15 minutes, even when
the rest of the passengers finished their meal. When I asked one flight attendant, she yelled,
"Wait a minute! Reheat!". No smile, no apologies. When the food came, it was a white fish
curry with rice. Unappetizing. Other than that, the toilet was clean with packets of anti-
bacterial gel, which came handy around BKK airport so I took some of them with me. No personal
inflight entertainment on board so I spent the time just reading books. Surprisingly, they
served Courvoisier Cognac for after dinner drinks in Economy Class - couldn't pass that up!

London to Koh Samui via Bangkok return. LHR-BKK was almost empty (old 747) with no more than
100 people in the economy cabin, selected seats at the back of the plane (2 together) thinking
that it was going to be a full flight - in the end we have a whole row each. Return flight
from Bangkok also half full with again chance to spread out of the pre booked seats. Seat
reasonably comfortable with good legroom. Food reasonable selection and choice on both legs, a
better western selection out from London with a very Thai selection on the return leg - OK but
fish curry is probably not the best on a confined plane. Attentive staff but with such empty
planes on both international sections the ratio of crew to passengers was high. Inflight
entertainment on these B747's not up to current airlines and Thai really do need to sort this
out as it is the thing that lets their service to and from London down. The selection of films
was good but with only 1 TV screen per cabin section is was almost impossible to see and the
quality of the image is very poor. Transfer options at BKK are good with opportunity to shop
and get some food. Flight to Koh Samui uneventful and smooth with no issues. Overall generally
very good but Thai really do need to sort their inflight entertainment out as a priority
especially on the 12 hour flights from their European destinations!

LHR-BKK-SIN. Thai was not part of my original booking for my flight home to Singapore but only
because BA happened to cancel my direct flight back to Singapore (due to technical problems)
and left 390 angry passengers stranded at Heathrow in the wee hours of the morning. Some
(including myself) were rebooked on different carriers. Thai LHR-BKK leg was an old 747-400
with no PTVs. What made up for that was a good crew who were responsive, good food, plenty of
drinks to go around and a very colourful cabin scheme with ok seats. Transfer at BKK was
quick and we had an A345 on the outward leg from BKK to SIN (on the first flight out in the
morning), with PTVs, an even more spacious cabin complete with a standard breakfast service
and a few rounds of freeflow drinks. I'd recommend Thai for the legroom and service, but of
course if they have PTVs on every aircraft (and retiring the 747s) no doubt would they be in
the league of the better airlines such as SIA.

It was my first flight with Thai. Everything about it was excellent - service the best I have
experienced. B777 was clean and tidy. Food and wine good as well. I was very happily
surprised by this airline and quality.

FRA-BKK-FRA. Check-in was fast and friendly. Flight from FRA an old Boeing 747-400 aircraft,
with no personal screens on a 10 hour trip. Old seats and the Films shown where the same. Meal
was good, but service poor. Flight from BKK was a surprise because of changing to a newer
Airbus A340-600. Very nice flight. Friendly staff and good meals. Very good IFE with a large
selection of movies. Overall, recommended for a good value flight. But please don't use the
old 747-400!

CDG-BKK-PNH. Paris to Bangkok in a B747 with no AVOD. Largest leg room I've experienced.
Friendly and attentive cabin crew, food was fair. Between Bangkok and Phnom Penh a very short
flight of 45 minutes made in B737, just a small lunch box. A very good airlines. Need AVOD
system in economy class to deserve five stars.
