London-Bangkok return in Economy. Wonderful flights with exceptional service, stewards always very
pleasant & ready to assist, good seating with plenty of legroom. Aircraft very clean, good food,
big sleep helped me not watching repeats on inflight entertainment.

BNE-BKK-BNE Business class. Smooth enough check in at Brisbane, given a fast track pass for
immigration, and access to the Air New Zealand lounge (rather small and plain). B747 with the
upgraded seats and AVOD with enough offerings. Meals ok, service was fine. The return trip, check in
was smooth and fast, straight ahead to the dedicated immigration checkpoint, and straight down to
the Thai lounge. A large and well stocked lounge with everything one should need. On an older 747
this time, with the older seats and limited entertainment selections, no AVOD. The older seats are a
little more comfortable for me, not so hard, but being in a bulkhead seat up the front, I found the
legroom was a little limited. Although this was a day flight the shades were lowered pretty soon
after the first simple breakfast serving, (to allow people to watch the movie on the big screen
apparently even though we all had individual screens. I couldn't help feeling that we were all being
"put to bed"). A bottle of water was dropped off, and then the flight attendants went missing for 5
hours. I was on the top deck and became increasingly annoyed at the large movie screen, which had
been pulled down to partially cover access to the toilets. On board were a lot of older people, who
really did struggle to limbo dance under this screen to get to the toilet during the 5 hours in sat
in-situ. When the lights were turned back on, and the meal service arrived, we were only 2 hours or
so out of Sydney - too long to wait for this late lunch. A brief stopover at Sydney and access to
the Air New Zealand lounge which was larger, and run by friendly staff. Mostly the flight attendants
were polite and warm, just one or two on each leg who constantly seemed to have the hump.

BKK-LHR Business Class. I was delighted to see Thai at long last are using proper cutlery both out
of Bangkok and London in their premier cabins. Beware though, Duty Free sales do not seem to be
available onboard at present. Both on the outward flight and the inward flight I was filling out my
Duty Free order to be told there was no duty free on board. I asked the FA why there was a Duty Free
magazine in each seat pocket to be given a delightful smile but I am none the wiser!

9 January 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
BKK-LHR economy. Luckilygot a centre row of 4 seats to myself which made the 12 hr flight much more
comfortable. Overall, the flight was good, the aircraft used for this flight seemed well-maintained.
Good legroom. The cabin crew was efficient and mostly friendly - although there were a couple of
unsmiling ones too. Dinner served very hurriedly but this was fine as it was 1am and most passengers
just wanted to sleep anyway. Food nice and soft drinks circulated through the night. As many here
have noted, the IFE is woeful but on a night flight this isn't so important. Overall, Thai runs a
pretty slick operation; it's not quite Malaysian or Cathay Pacific but it's above average and
deserves its 4 star rating.

SIN-BKK-SYD return economy class. Very impressed by the service provided by Thai. Good leg room for
economy class, comfortable seats, aircraft clean and even the older 744 used Sydney/Bangkok still in
good condition. Meal service of a very high standard. Drinks plentiful. Staff very efficient and
friendly and manage passenger needs very well. Thai relly let themselves down with their inflight
entertainment depending on the aircraft used - outbound flights on new 777 aircraft with AVOD and
large screens, return flights on 747 and old 777 and no AVOD and one movie shown between Sydney and
Bangkok. They still provide hot towels, menus - and orchids to female passengers and a friendly
service.

LHR-BKK Economy. Good flights with no delays. Overall a good flight. Leg room okay. Meals were good
and drinks were served throughout the flight. Staff were efficient and friendly. The disappointment
was the entertainment system - 1 movie on the main screen as no PTVs are fitted. They tended to show
very family orientated films which were of little appeal. Fortunately I had a video ipod and spent
most of the time watching that. Would be useful if they had internet check in but you have to be a
member of their frequent flyer club to have access.

30 December 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
SIN-BKK-NRT on A333 & B772, and return on B744 & A333, economy class. Drinks are plenty throughout
the flights, even outside meal times. Meals generally ok, omelette breakfast between BKK-NRT is
great. FAs are quite responsive to passengers' need, most of them are friendly. TG keeps up its
tradition of giving orchid flowers to female passengers before touchdown. The cabin of its B772
looks extremely spacious because of the high ceiling & wider aisle, though legroom generally the
same for all types of aircrafs. The downside is that there's no personal IFE. Apart from a good
movie between NRT-BKK, its IFE on the main screen is quite a disappointment. We were bused to our
planes further out on the tarmac during both boardings at BKK airport, maybe it's because of
connections among other TG flights or code-share reason by other airlines, thus it would be faster
this way to board, though it would be better to allocate Gate D1-D8 nearest to the terminal building
to some of TG flights, as at time I see these aerobridges are not fully utilised.

LHR-BKK return. Very good service; food edible and wine was flowing - too bad the wine wasn't so
great but drinkable. I have been flying Thai for about 8 years now and will continue when flying in
the region. LHR flight was full of Europeans, many connecting on to Australia. Thai might want to
consider upgrading its food and wine.

LHR-BKK Royal Silk Class. SAS London Lounge crowded at LHR and offers little in the way of food. I
was seated upstairs in 17k and cabin full. Swift service once airborne. Starter was fine but main
course bland. IFE was on-demand yet movie / TV options were limited and the selection that was
available was poor. The seat was ok but felt quite hard. I was comfortable in a reclined position
but being 188 cms tall the fully flat position did not suit. Inbound Dec seated in 12A. Again,
pretty full but very good service from FA's, food quality an improvement but still not great. I
flew EVA's Premium Laurel Class last year and found the experience more enjoyable than THAI,
possibly helped by the fact that EVA's Business Class cabin was only a quarter full, so outstanding
service from FA's, seat was more comfortable too.

LHR-BKK Business Class. FAs very attentive and kind and food was extremely good - especially the

9 December 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
Excellent inflight service & meals on Business class for Singapore-Bangkok-Munich-Bangkok-Singapore.
I was transiting at Bangkok both ways and got to use the Royal Orchid Lounge. It offers a free head &
shoulder massage or a foot massage to Business class passengers traveling on Thai. The meals were of a
high standard and were very tasty. FAs Thai silk uniforms were and the colors were lovely, very serene & attentive
service. Return leg had another fabulous meal on the Munich to Bangkok sector. The chicken teriyaki meal served
on return leg from Bangkok to Singapore was also delicious. All ad hoc requests for drinks were honored & were promptly delivered.
Pilots spoke excellent English and on the journey to Munich, the Thai pilot also spoke good German. AVOD was good with a wide range of choices to keep you occupied.

9 December 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
SYD-BKK and BKK-LHR First class. New config 747 both legs with plenty of room for my wife and I and
our one year old son, travelling as a lap infant. Bagged 1A and K which was perfect. TG use the NZ
lounge at SYD which is very good, visited the SQ F lounge as well (after the usual fight at the door
explaining the Star Alliance rules to the staff!). NZ lounge (as at AKL) has a separate kids room -
much appreciated! Minor hassle on boarding as CSM wouldn't accept our stroller on board, despite
there being plenty of room and us having taken it on NZ, UA, SQ and LH 747s all with no problem as
it fits in the overhead locker. We weren't allowed to show that this was the case. Disappointing,
but the rest of the flight was good. The new F seats have plenty of room and are comfortable for
sleeping. Main course wasn't as good as it could have been but the rest of the food was delicious.
Dom Perignon 1999 flowed freely as did a couple of nice Margaux wines and a lovely Alsace Grand Cru!
AVOD IFE adequate, but not a patch on SQ/NZ offerings in terms of selection. Met on arrival at BKK
by ground staff. Taken by golf cart to priority immigration desk and then personally escorted
through baggage with dedicated porters. Great help as we had tons of luggage as well as the wee one!
From BKK, the experience starts at kerb side with priority service through to the lovely FC lounge.
Wife and I both had a superb neck and shoulder massage in the Spa as well as great food and drink
whilst staff kept our son entertained! Lovely flight back to LHR with attentive staff members.
Again, main food item let the rest of the catering down, but a minor quibble really given everything
else on offer. Sadly, our bags didn't make it to GLA with us, but this was a bmi/BAA issue, rather
than TG and at least we didn't have to lug them all the way home. Arrived the next day by courier.
Would fly TG F again, although if you scored the old config 747 the flight experience might not be so good.

JFK-BKK-JFK, Premium Economy. We appreciated the Premium Economy check-in counter at JFK, Priority
luggage tagging, and Priority boarding privileges (none of which, oddly, were offered on return from
Bangkok). Legroom was excellent. With seatbacks upright, I couldn't touch the seat in front of
mine. The seat pitch was good, but foot-rests were almost useless. They didn't even extend to my
ankles, and opening at such a low angle, offered little support. Meals were quite good (order the
Asian food), and wine flowed freely, offered by unsmiling, hurried flight attendants, who we shared
with the Economy cabin. A good assortment of Movies on Demand. The small perks made this long
flight (17 hours) tolerable, and well worth the extra charge for Premium Economy.

23 November 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
JNB-BKK Economy return. I found the A340 interior pleasing. Legroom very generous and cannot fault
the service or excellent in flight entertainment system. The food was excellent and two meals were
served on each 11 hour flight. Cabin crew friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
Leg room in economy is generous as to provide foot rests and instead of reclining backward the
entire seat slides forward and only tilts slightly backwards - Thai Airways does not supply amenity
kits to economy passengers, just refreshing towels and ear phones for the entertainment system. Best
leg room in economy is row 31, a bulkhead row which has ample leg room to stretch out but no
window, row 32 on the A340-600 also has no window. Thai airways is the only airline flying this
route directly, before this service begun you had to go either via Hong Kong, Doha or Dubai - its
great that you can now fly direct.

Stockholm-Bangkok-Osaka. Travelled Premium Economy Stockholm-Bangkok, and Business Bangkok-Osaka.
THAI has for years abolished their first class on the Scandinavian routes. The upper deck cabin,
that is being used as Royal Silk Class (Business) on other routes, is Premium Economy from Stockholm
and Copenhagen. THAI say it is because very few Scandinavians are using first class. The real reason
might be that the planes are very old, and THAI cannot beat other airlines with smiling cabin crew
alone. The seats are not bad, but it is difficult to sleep as you are sliding down from the seat all
the time. The footrests are not made for tall Scandinavians. From Bangkok to Osaka it was like
heaven! Seats that could be transferred to beds at Royal Silk class. I wish THAI could see the need
of buying some modern planes. It is a question how long time they can live on giving the economy
class passengers more legspace that other airlines. On my return flight from Bangkok to Stockholm
the back of the seat of a lady sitting in the Premium Economy class broke in two.

19 November 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
LAX-BKK-LAX Premium Economy. The seat pitch, leg room and overall seat comfort were great. However,
avoid the last row of premium economy, the seats do not recline as much as the others. The food was
decent at best. Good inflight entertainment, but the earbud headphones (the kind you put in your
ears) were terrible, hurt my ears after just an hour. I was surprised at the poor service. All
that said, bring a good neck pillow and cushion, and the non stop California to Thailand factor, I
would recommend this flight. I would also say the extra money for the Premium Economy is worth it.

FRA-BKK-FRA Economy. FRA-BKK night flight with ancient B747-400 aircraft, full passenger load and no
seat was empty. Flight was on time, seat was very comfortable, seat pitch was great and I have more
space for my legs than the another long haul Y class I flown. The quality and quantity of food and
beverage were outstanding and tasted good. Even French VSOP congac was served after dinner. FA were
very friendly and attentive even in the night they went around the cabin and served soft drinks. I saw
that toilets were cleaned and freshened up every hours. No footrest for Y passengers, IFE terrible
there was only main big screen and 2 movies were shown. Return flight to FRA was the daylight flight -
left BKK around noon. On the sector 4 Movies were shown on the main screen and the service and the FA
was much better than the outbound flight but the food was too authentic ethnic Thai.

12 November 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
ZRH-BKK-SIN Business Class. Zurich to Bangkok great. Food good - I'm not sure I like the seat as it
does not lie flat, so I felt I was sliding down the seat as I slept. Bangkok airport is overwhelming.
I was trying to find the place for a massage but it is only offered in one lounge and it took me
virtually an hour and a half to find it - no thanks to terrible directions by Thai lounge staff. By
the time I found it I had to catch my connecting leg to Singapore. Beware that there are many
business class lounges but only one first class/business class lounge at Suvarnabhumi airport. It is
not clear if business class passengers have access to the spa/massage facilities. Bangkok to
Singapore was very average - almost like a domestic leg in terms of what you expect in business class.
Food terrible and the seats on the A330 were no where near as good as the A340-500.

6 November 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
BKK-LAX in Business Class. The airport in Bangkok was surprisingly impressive. The biggest enjoyment
at the airport in Bangkok was the Spa for massages for First and Business Class passengers.
Flying in the new Business Class seats on the A340-500 BKK to LAX was a nice experience. The AVOD
selections were fantastic and was able to keep me entertained for the entire 15 hours to LAX. The
flight crew was pleasant, but, the meal presentation and delivery was not up to par with Asiana and
Singapore Airlines. Some sections of the Business Class cabin were served will before the other
section was served and there were not too many genuine and appreciative smiles and notices of
gratitude from the crew. The food in Business Class was average and there was a frequent need to
request water or walk up to the galley and request an Evian. But, the third course which was a Thai
Pizza served about 90 minutes before landing at LAX was excellent. Several tea and after dinner
drinks available and the cabin staff utilized the nice display carts for this service. But still,
something seemed like it was missing. I had read many reports saying TG did not have amenity kits in
Business Class, but on this flight, each passenger was given an amenity kit and that was appreciated.
Several services of hot towels which was also a nice touch. The lavatories have windows so freshing
up while watching the sun set for the second time is very impressive and the carpeted lavatory floor
was a refreshing change. Upon arrival at LAX, a Thai employee put up two signs at our baggage claim
area "Thai Economy" & "Thai Premium Economy" so those of us in the Business Class cabins on TG794 that
evening were confused as to if we were at the right baggage carousel. Interestingly enough, the first
bags onto the carousel were the Star Alliance Priority or Thai Royal Silk Service tagged luggage. How
often do we actually see the Business Class and Elite members obtain their luggage first - that was a
nice touch.

BKK-FCO-BKK. FC check-in in BKK was fast and faultless. Lounge had improved the quality of food on
offer, service at the SPA still good, but sometime the waiting times force some passenger to abandon
the idea of the massage. The 747-400 First Class cabin 10 single seat is good, all seat occupied. Food
on board is not at First Class level, in quality, taste, presentation - wines choice is dropping. On
this leg no pyjamas were given, as no menu or wine list. FCO-BKK No particular problems, until I reach
the plane, an old 747-300 with the old 14 seats configuration, and a full cabin! Since the FCO Lounge
offer little food or nothing, I had my lunch on board, and again the food was not enjoyable. One
problem with 14 passengers and the crew using the First Class toilets, is that sometimes you really
have to wait on line.

AKL-BKK return in Economy class - had the same very clean and comfortable A340-600 aircraft both ways
(I had the same seat on both flights). Checked in for both flights using the internet - much superior
to the desk check-in, especially being able to see where there are pairs or rows of empty seats when
selecting where you want to sit. It also means that you can drop off your luggage at the airport as
late as an hour before flight time. On the outward flight even the "unspiced" fish meal was too spicy
for me, so the crew gave me extra cheese and biscuits. Video on demand is amazing - a huge selection
of movies, documentaries and TV shows. Excellent flight attendants on both journeys. Even with menu
problems I'm happy to fly Thai every time on this route - rating is really 4.5 stars.

SYD-BKK Business; BKK-FRA, FRA-BKK, BKK-SYD First. Crew on all sectors were friendly and
attentive. Food was ordinary on all sectors. They have dropped their caviar service in First.
They use the Air New Zealand lounge in Sydney: quite large, a good view of the airport and
comfortable enough. The new business class seats are comfortable but not as large as the QF skybed. Avoid the front row
on the 777 as the video screens are much smaller. New First class seats are also comfortable though I had to ask the crew on 2 sectors to turn down
the cabin temperature as it was uncomfortably hot and I was unable to sleep. Once the cabin cooled
down I slept like a baby. BKK-SYD the entertainment system did not work; crew were very apologetic but could do nothing.
Pyjamas were out of stock. Lounges at BKK are comfortable. It was great to be able to eat before boarding the late night
flights but selection of dishes for First was surprisingly small. I had a 5.5 hour transit between flights - the Royal Orchid Spa was wonderful. However, they
advertise a gym and this does not exist.

Economy LHR-BKK-Khon Kaen. Good flight to BKK, attentive staff, lovely food. Return flight to LHR the
food was terrible, staff less friendly - and not enough drinks served through the night. Not everyone
sleeps. Also there was virtually no entertainment, and the one film they did show had to be watched
on a screen way up ahead of your seating position. Checking in was very good all round, and onward
domestic flights to Khon Kaen were excellent. In summary my experience with Thai airways was a
positive one. I would fly with them again, just wish they would modernise their inflight
entertainment on long haul flights.

FCO-BKK C class 747-400 with new shell seats - better than old C class, although not very roomy and
angled does not help sleeping - why they don't put horizontal is a mystery. Crew outstanding as usual,
get amenity basic kit, food ok but not extraordinary, good range of drinks included, good hot
chocolate on demand. Bathrooms clean all the way with Bulgari amenities. Long walking as usual at new
BKK airport, prefer lounge at C gate - smaller but more privacy and well stocked with drinks and
foods, get shower and relaxed foot massage in wonderful spa lounge. BKK-DPS-BKK A330 C class old
plane, IFE not on demand, crew good, food not up to Thai standards, priority tag works and out of
Denpasar airport in 4 minutes. Thai Airways is highs and some lows, but really made up when fleet will
be renewed since uncomparable standards and crew on board

MEL-BKK Business Class Boeing 777. Flight was on time and service was good, food was very poor for
business class and I have had better in SQ Economy, although i was offered alternatives at both meals
when I left most of the food. Drinks service was adequate but thats it. New style cocoon seats are ok
but there was no leg length extension on the foot rest, so if you're a 6 footer like me, this aspect
is not so good. Air NZ lounge at MEL was very good indeed. Thai lounges at new BKK airport were
numerous but nothing special inside and snacks provided were very basic and not that appealing.
I continue to fly with Thai as I am a gold frequent flyer but they need to improve thier service if
they are to compete with Singapore Airlines, which in my opinion is superior in every respect.
BKK-FRA First Class. Boeing 747. This was the older style layout of 747 where the first class seats
are in doubles not singles, although Thai had kept an empty seat at the side of each passenger.
Usually on this route the newly configured planes are used but this one was brought in to replace one
with technical problems. Last time I flew first class with Thai all first class passengers received
complimentary designer pyjamas and caviar was served with the meals. This time there was just a small
amenity kit and there was no caviar. The dom perignon champagne was still there though and the wine
list was excellent. Service exemplary throughout and flight crew were very good. Seat comfort, even
the older ones is still very good.

AKL-BKK-CDG First Class and return FCO-BKK-AKL First Class. Wonderful flights and service. Could not
really be faulted at all except the wine list is a bit light as too was the choice of movies. The new
A340 is great but to be honest still love that extra room that only the 747 gives you. The check in
and arrival at the new airport in Bangkok is a brilliant concept and the club sandwiches in the first
class lounge are beyond culinary desccription. We have flown with Thai many times to Europe from New
Zealand and we have no reason not to continue flying with them.

ICN-BKK-ICN Business Class. Thai Airways operate their regional business class product on this route
using 777-300 and A330-300. The cabins on both aircraft lack a modern feel. All flights were almost
full and service seemed to lack because of this, it took the cabin crew some time to respond to calls.
Food and beverages were good. The inflight entertainment felt dated, the video playlist would come to
an end and often it seemed to take time for the crew to restart. Both flights were not direct and
included stops in TPE (outbound) and HKG (return.) I was told that the lounge was some distance from
our gate in TPE. In HKG the Thai lounge is quite comfortable and close to the gate. Whilst I have
been given an amenity kit on direct overnight flights from BKK-ICN, none was offered either way of
this journey.

Bkk-Kul-Bkk Business. Outbound on B777-300 old-style seats with little legroom and poor inflight
entertainment. Inbound on B777-200 with new lie-flat seats and generous inflight entertainment. New
lie-flat seats look very nice, but a little narrow. Most irritating was that the two armrests are of
different height. Food on both flights satisfactory, but finished with real cheap-looking packaged
cheese and crackers. Wines superb. Champagne was a tasteless obscure brand. Cabin service very
professional but not warm or friendly. No addressing passengers by name at all. Age of both air
stewardesses on outbound flight as ancient as the plane. Royal Orchid Lounge at Bangkok airport huge
but not classy. Lounge food was only tasteless snacks. Royal Orchid Lounge at KLIA in a state of
disrepair - avoid at all cost. Overall it was not worth paying for Business Class on Thai, especially
when they have a good Economy Class product.

9 September 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
BKK-HKG-ICN Business Class. Excellent Check-In as always. Same old food selections in the lounge.
The Business Lounge appears to be getting a little better but still not as nice as the old lounges
in Don Muang. Departed from Concourse D and for the 3rd time in a row departing BKK on this route
they were bussing people to the aircraft with Last Call being 40 mins before departure and spending
15 minutes in a hot bus - total nonsense. And yes they're still digging up the taxi-ways in BKK
hence the reason planes cannot park at all the gates and passengers have to be bussed to and from
the aircraft... Flight itself departed only a few minutes late. Cabin service on the Airbus 330 was
attentive, though the food and drink selections were very average - and with that terrible cutlery.
IFE was poor with no Video on Demand, no Movie Selection on the BKK-HKG leg and only a couple of
films to choose from on the HKG-ICN sector. 3 hour hops on day flights are not long enough to get a
decent sleep so if you're travelling alone proper IFE is important.

BKK-LHR and CDG-BKK Business Class. BKK Business Class lounge was very much an ordinary experience -
appears to be more of mass market travel nowadays, it's lost some of that exclusivity. All things
considered, no complaints at BKK - we were well looked after with good range of snacks and drinks for
a 2hr transit. On return journey, it was so crowded that there were no seats, so the lounge staff gave
us a private room - a pleasant surprise, considering we had to transit for over 4hrs for the BKK-SIN
flight. We were guided on board well in proper Asian hospitality. The aircraft was an upgraded
B747-400 with the new capsule-type seats. We had seats 17A/B and 18A/B, upper deck, both ways. Very
cosy and snug - just nice for 11+hr flights. Food service was fairly ordinary but charming - dinner
after take off and breakfast just before landing. Everything seemed to work well. Crew was very
pleasant and rendered assistance when requested. IFE was nothing impressive - what you would expect in
Business Class.

Singapore-LHR Economy. Barely adequate. All flights on time, food was edible, and service levels
acceptable, but not outstanding. As others have pointed out, only having main screen movies on the 12
hour BKK-LHR flight makes a long journey extremely tedious. It's especially bad on the night flights,
where only 1 movie is shown. I'm guessing that Thai assumes that everyone will be sleeping -
unfortunately, though, not everyone can or wants to sleep during flights. For this reason, I won't fly
Thai longhaul again until they update the entertainment system on all their planes.

poor. Seats badly stained, armrest held together by sticky tape. Inflight entertainment poor and
urgently needs updating

Economy London to Bangkok and would agree with most other postings that the service is fantastic and
the food good - plus plenty of leg room. Only downside was the lack of seatBACK tv's, and travelling
with 3 kids made this difficult. this is the only factor that would stop me using Thai airways in the
future. They should invest in newer planes.

Beijing to Auckland return in Royal Silk Class and usual high standard of service/product. Early
morning departure out of Beijing on an old A300-600 not too problematic for a relatively short flight
(which I hear could soon be upgraded to an A330-300), 5 hours at BKK at Royal Silk Lounge enabled a
shower and much needed email clearing, before proceeding to the Spa for neck & shoulder massage.
A340-600 to Auckland fantastic & comfortable. Food quality much improved, as well as wine selections.
Angled lie-flat seats still a mission to master, but I still managed to get 7 hours sleep. Cabin
cleanliness top notch. Service top notch. AVOD movie selections quite old and limited!
Return flight started off with Air New Zealand's Koru Lounge at Auckland airport with fantastic wine
and cheese, followed by A340-600 flight, 2 hour layover at BKK, then onto Beijing on a similarly tired
A300-600 arriving Beijing at 6.40am. All in all, excellent & consistent value, service and total
experience.

Bangkok to Penang and back in Royal Silk (Business) Class. Bangkok check-in the special Business Class
area with fast track immigration and soon in the lounge which was excellent. The cabin was 2/3 full on
A-300-600. Hot towels and welcome drinks. Inflight service excellent and a friendly crew. My pre-
ordered meal was excellent. Check-in on the way back in Penang was quick. Thai uses the Malaysian
Airlines Lounge in Penang, which is large, and well equipped with friendly staff. Boarding easy and
the business class cabin was again 2/3 full on A300-600 with acceptable seat pitch. The breakfast
service was fast Overall an excellent experience with Thai and I look forward to fly them again.

BKK-DXB in Economy. Flight very full but check-in and boarding were first rate. Seats comfortable and
although this flight doesn't have seat back screens my position was ok for the main screen. Prebooked
vegetarian meal not on board but helpful FA sorted the problem and found me a vegetarian meal which
was very tasty. Regular drink runs are the norm on this flight so hardly have reason to press the call
button. FA's very attentive and helpful especially with the younger passengers. Washrooms refreshed
every hour or so also.

CPH-BKK-JKT economy roundtrip. I have been using Thai Airways for the
last 20 years. The food, especially out of Bangkok, needs a lot of
improvement. So do the old 747 planes, with an ancient entertainment
system. Compared with many other airlines flying between Eurpe and South
East Asia, Thai is lagging behind. On the positive side: The leg space
and the attentive staff.

Paris CDG to Bangkok. Individual checking counter for First class
passengers and a dedicate ground crew that escort us to Immigration and
the Lounge. The same person came to pick me in the lounge and escort me
up to my seat 1A. Excellent comfort. The food and the service onboard
were fantastic. I had a good 6 hours sleep. I am also enjoyed the audio
and Video on demand. On arrival in Bangkok, all the first class
passengers were picked up from the gate by TG ground crew and escort to
fast track immigration - it took less then 15 minutes.

Kathmandu to Bangkok. It had been very difficult to get seats on this
flight as economy from Kathmandu to Bangkok seems to be full for weeks
these days and I wonder if TG needs more capacity on this route now.
There is almost no competition other than Nepal Airlines which flies
thrice weekly and those flights are often cancelled or heavily delayed.
We got our seats due to efficiency of assistant manager in TG Kathmandu
office. It was an excellent flight and up to the usual Thai standard.
The plane was clean, crew fantastic, friendly and courteous. The meal
was excellent.

LHR-BKK-LHR economy. Can't fault the cabin crew who were attentive and
helpful, meals snacks and drinks a plenty but just how long will it take
before someone in a senior position realises that an 11 hour non stop
flight requires a better level of inflight entertainment. Seems to me
that if the veteran 747s are not replaced or upgraded its only a
question of time before passenger volumes degrade. Come on Thai, listen
to feedback and pull your socks up!
