Zurich to Bangkok Business Class : perfect on almost all points. Access to the Swiss lounge, priority check-in, well maintained and clean plane, great food, good wine and drink list served on a classy trolley. Good service although the cabin is large and full. The seats are a bit narrow and hard for a long haul, but compared to some competitors the incline is quite good and you do not slide to the floor.

SIN-BKK return A330-330 aircraft both ways. Seats and leg room wide and good. Cabin and toilets kept clean. Female cabin crew are friendly and efficient but the male crew seem tired and unfriendly. Food out of Singapore rather plain but catering out of Bangkok was tasty and filling. Inflight entertainment was limited to only audio channels but it was a short flight so that was fine. I can see a few cost cutting like the welcome onboard hot towel was replaced by a hot wet tissue, smaller meal portion, less side dishes and no more after meal sweets or mints - but overall it is still a reliable, safe and affordable airline to fly with.

BKK-CDG, December 19. Seating in the lower section of the B747-400; Good seating in Business Class, very tasty food. Cabin crew were efficient and some were more helpful than the others. But the major problem during our TG 930 to Paris in our section; the PTV and the entertainment system was not working the entire flight. The Inflight Manager did not even proposed to compensate passengers who were affected with extra miles due to the inconvenience. It is time for TG to change aircraft, those B747-400 are getting older.

LHR-BKK-HKT return. Upgraded to business class on the way out, overall excellent service, sat row 22A/B so nothing in front of us apart from 1st class. Food excellent as was service. Despite previous comments from passengers regarding recline on seats, was still able to get good night sleep. BKK-HKT in A340-600, food not particularly nice but only 1 hour flight. Return in economy and at the back row 65, still leg room better than most airlines. Food very good for economy as was regular water runs.

It’s very welcome to have Thai Airways First Class return to Sydney after about a years break. Sydney to Tokyo return via Bangkok during November. Excellent service all the way. First Class lounges in Bangkok and Narita were to high standard. Sydney somewhat less, using Air NZ Business. From landing at NRT to get on Airport Bus to downtown, only 20 minutes. The ANA (Section 4) NRT lounge was great improvement over previous visits. ANA check-in fast and efficient. At NRT immigration through Crew gate fast and appreciated. If you buy duty free in NRT, transit BKK you must dump it in BKK - it's not allowed entry into Thailand. The electric car pick up at BKK always appreciated - a long walk from Gates. TG does breakfasts very well and great wines. Luggage received priority at NRT, but none at all on return to Sydney. TG has improved First class cabin staff.

SYD-BKK then onto Hanoi in business class. The trip went very well from beginning to end. Seats SYD-BKK the newer shell type, everything worked, food fine (not stellar) and the in- flight entertainment was good, though a pretty basic movie selection. Staff helpful - had a problem with connecting computer to power source but this was resolved. All in all a very comfortable pleasant flight.

BKK-USM-BKK an internal return flight to Koh Samui, an uneventful outward leg in rather ancient and noisy B737-400, not close to the A320 in terms of cabin quality and noise. Return leg flight delayed due to bad weather, (monsoon season) a three hour delay brought the usual disappearance of all ground staff. Finally offered transport and dispatched to an overnight hotel at 23.30 Next morning at 6.30 transported back to Koh Samui airport where an additional flight on another aging 737-400 was laid on departing at 12 noon some eighteen hours late. IATA rules and normal cabin safety procedures seemed not to exist on this flight as on approach to BKK cabin crew not only ignored reclining seats but also turned a blind eye to passengers who were not only draped across three seats but had no seat belts to secure them down. Despite this Thai handled the eventful situation well and after a typical British diplomatic discussion we were reunited with our bags later in the day after I insisted they fly our bags on to Bangkok on a Bangkok Airways flight, in frustrating & difficult circumstances Thai, did their best & kept to all the promises they made. Their genuine concern and speed of reaction would put many national european carriers to shame, would I fly them again? Yes certainly, they just tighten the up their cabin management,

I am a regular Thai Airways customer and dismayed that they are now cramming an extra 5 seats into the J class section on their 777s, going from 2x2x2 to 2x3x2. The original configuration we enjoyed out of Melbourne with a bit of space is now a very claustrophobic experience. All my recent flights with Thai have been pretty empty and I'm wondering if their short sighted attempts to raise premium revenue may have backfired.

Travelled from Heathrow to Bangkok in Economy. I was very surprised when boarding that there were no seat back TVs or entertainment consoles. As we were seated quite a way back from the main screen it was impossible to watch a film so made for a long flight with nothing to do. I travel long haul frequently with many different airlines and it did not occur to me to even ask whether there would be seatback entertainment as it seems to be the norm on other airlines. I certainly won't be flying with Thai again.

LHR-BKK-LHR. Full flights on both sectors, hardly surprising given the reasonable price £400 economy return plus two free internal flights. The 747's Thai use on this route are really showing their age and in desperate need of replacement. A clean cabin with seats functional but well worn seats. IFE showing two films & a couple of audio channels was reminiscent of the 1970/80's with no seat back screens, only small overhead screens or large projectors the extra leg room economy offers more than compensated for the lack of IFE. Cabin Crew were efficient, friendly & professional, frequently offering drinks and given the that flights well full clearing away food trays with previously unexperienced speed. Food was excellent & up with the best in economy on the Europe to Far East routes. Toilets were maintained & cleaned on a regular basis.

BKK-KTM-BKK on what seemed to be new 777. Had not travelled in TG economy for years and was very pleasantly surprised. Window seats comfortable and quite roomy. FA's smiled and were attentive throughout. Drinks served promptly after take off and meals were tasty with choice of three main courses.

LHR-BKK-LHR on old 747 : relatively clean cabin interior but a bit worn out. Attentive crew and good food. Seats not the most comfortable and lack personal IFE. Substitution for that is very generous legroom for long haul flights. Speedy check-in at BKK. Overall a good experience but Thai seriously needs to replace these 747 and upgrade seats.

HKG-BKK-CEI return. B777-200 on HKG-BKK and back, A330 BKK-CEI and A300 on CEI-BKK. Seats very comfortable, flight attendants good, Food was great on HKG-BKK and back but BKK-CEI and back horrible. Lots of legroom and aircraft clean.

Flew three legs on Thai Airways in Business class and was impressed with each one. LAX-BKK nonstop and found the schedule to be ideal. Leaving at 21.30, I watched a movie during dinner, slept for 8hrs, woke for breakfast and another film, read and slept again before the final meal prior to arrival. The meals were tasty, the service attentive and the accommodation good. There has been some mention of the fact that on the A340-500 in the Thai configuration, the armrests are different heights. I agree that this is both odd and a bit uncomfortable but is a very minimal complaint. The second leg was Bangkok/Kuala Lumpur on a 777 which was short and enjoyable with a very good meal. The last segment was Bangkok/Osaka, also on a 777 that was equally pleasant. Good job all around and the check-in facilities for Business in Bangkok are superb as is the lounge. Great experience from a quality airline.
