SIN-BKK-TPE: SIN-BKK B773 service with the brand new A380 business class interior. The new seat and
entertainment system is fantastic. Crew very hard working. Drink service, meal service and then constant
drink runs throughout business cabin. Unfortunately, BKK-TPE was on an older A333 with an ancient interior.
The IFE screen was small and blurry and the footrest would not operate correctly. However, the crew were
fantastic again so made up for the dated cabin. The highlight of the trip was the ground staff in SIN and BKK
from check-in clerks to lounge staff to gate agents who all looked after me so kindly as I was in a wheelchair.
I can't wait to fly TG internationally again if this was any indication of their service. Would have given seat
comfort and inflight entertainment 5/5 had it not been for old A333 to Taipei.

SYD-BKK-TPE. First leg on a refitted 744 with PTV which had plenty of choices for the 9 hour flight. Meals
onboard were delicious and the Thai curry chicken was excellent. Flight attendants were polite and always
smiling. Second leg on a new 333, flight delayed 30 min, no explanations offered. PTV crashed before take off
and took about an hour to reboot during which the flight attendants performed the safety instructions
manually and you can definitely tell they're not used to situations like this. Flight attendants were also not
as nice and polite as the long haul leg, which was a shame.

MFM-BKK-MFM on brand 'Thai Smile'. A very new A320. Check-in was good and flight attendants were
excellent. However, the seat was terrible, I am 180 but did not fit the seat, it was narrow with very limit leg-
rooms. They supplied a snack onboard but really not of a good standard. I chose Thai Smile because of the
reputation of Thai Airways, but was disappointed. I still believe Thai Airways provides 5-star service on Thai
Airways but definitely not on Thai Smile. I will take Air Asia rather than Thai Smile in the future.

Flew TG 921, an A380 from Frankfurt to Bangkok. Aircraft comfort and flight attendants excellent. I found the
food to be mediocre on this leg which was disappointing. Delayed 3 hours in the aircraft (airport congestion)
waiting to be de-iced and the flight crew kept us informed and provided passengers with regular updates -
this caused us to miss our connecting flight. Once landed in Bangkok the Thai staff were fantastic and has us
booked on the next flight within minutes. Overall another great flight provided by Thai and looking forward to
our return flight to Perth in the near future.

TG 432. Normally this is a very smooth ride. Crew positive and smiling, food is good, and things seems to be
in order. However, today's flight was somewhat different. An older version of A330. The seats are
comfortable when you sit, but when I reclined the seat there were something poking into my back. Monitor in
the armrest. My monitor was broken. I had to support it if I wanted to watch TV. During the meal the flight
attendant never returned with my drink. This plane didn't have the standard power contacts. I asked a flight
attendant if there were any possibility to charge my PC, and she said that this plane required a universal
converter. It turned out to be a long flight, no possibility to sleep, watch TV or use my PC. The food was
good and the crew were smiling, but on this flight I was not impressed.

London - Bangkok (Biz) - upgrade at airport check-in purchased, great value for money. Seats reasonable for
long haul. Food very average, service a disgrace, try and sleep and ignore the bad tempered staff. Think of
business class as economy service with an (almost) flat bed. Economy back, can't complain, good seats, good
price, actually slightly better service.

One way trip SIN-BKK on B777-300 in business class. Lounge in SIN was a windowless closet and not in any
way comparable to the SQ lounge. There were hardly any food/nibbles, nor wine or champagne. The airplane
was in surprisingly poor condition and seats, doors, panels and floor were stained and smelt mouldy. The
cabin crew were not very friendly and service inattentive (e.g. towels weren't picked up for 20 min+, no
champagne on welcome trays). Food was ok, but compared to other Asian carriers operating in the region, I
was very disappointed and wouldn't recommend them over SQ or CX.

Round trip Oslo to Bangkok economy class. The seats are okay and comfortable. The food is tasty but my
meal choice was not available. Some of the crew don't know how to smile and some cannot speak English
fluently but they are alert. Inflight entertainment was more than adequate, they have many choices of films
and music. Overall service was good.

TG910, BBK-LHR, 01/01/13. 1A & 2A. Travelled back from holiday with my partner. Arrived kerbside at BKK
airport to be greeted by luggage trolley, taken through a deserted 1st class check in area and immigration
and on buggy to first class lounge. Offered drinks immediately on arrival and once available a private sitting
room. As always very attentive staff, good food and environment. My only quibble with the lounge is why
the architect left gaps above and below the glazing to allow all the noise of the airport concourse into the
lounge area. Boarded through the now empty departure lounge. A340-600 in use. Smaller than the old
747-400 but only 8 seats instead of 10. Good choice of food, the Thai main courses were excellent. Glad Thai
have dropped the change of welcome drink and gone back to vintage Dom Perignon. They have changed the
design of the mattresses which improves the comfort of the seat, the new grey pyjamas are more up to date
style wise. Excellent breakfast. Staff are excellent and ready to help. As we left the plane we were all given
a boxed new year gift by the crew. For the first time ever on arrival at LHR we were offered a buggy to take
us to immigration and the luggage came through amongst the first bags. Could not fault anything.

SYD-BKK-MNL and back. I boarded this old 747-400 at around 5pm on 30 December. I was shocked at the fact
that they didn't have PTV for this flight. However the food and service was excellent and they played some
good movies and that somewhat made up for things. My Manila leg was the same (no PTV but good breakfast
(morning flight) but on a A330. MNL-BKK leg was similar to the other BKK-MNL (but was a night flight) and
used the same aircraft as the BKK-MNL leg. BKK-SYD, was a morning flight, on the newer 747, which was a
lot better. Food was good as well and service was at its usual. Here my 2 improvements for Thai Airways with
SYD-BKK route: Replace 747 with something like A340-600. Bring the A380 to SYD. Reintroduce that midnight
route from BKK-SYD, and maybe bring in a night flight from SYD-BKK (which happened in 2010, but also got
rid of it). I would say they are okay this time around, but I reckon their past was a lot better than what its is
now.

Took flight from Bangkok to Perth TG483. Business class A330. Overall very good flight. Flights attendants
were very attentive and efficient, served excellent food and wines (best red wine and French champagne). In-
flight entertainment good but remote control very sensitive. Well maintained clean bathrooms.

generally good, food was good. Entertainment system was ok. Overall, only will fly Thai if the price is right.

SYD-BKK on 22nd December and we were lucky enough to get one of the newly reconfigured 747-400’s (HS-
TGY). Each seat is effectively its own little suite (albeit without doors), and this makes for a very private
flight. The seats are very spacious and comfortable, and convert in a fully flat seven foot bed. The Dom
Perignon 2003 was excellent, and the caviar service is still one of the best in the sky! I pre-ordered the
Lobster Thermidor which was delicious. The amenity kits are presented in a very nice Tumi wash bag, and the
newly designed First Class pyjamas are actually of a very high quality. The staff were very attentive and
hospitable, and this made for an excellent flight. On arrival we were met at the doors of the aircraft and
whisked away on a Thai Airways gold buggy directly to immigration. Once through, our luggage was collected
by a porter who then showed us through the arrivals hall and out into the main airport. Overall this was an
excellent travel experience.

PVG-BKK-PVG Business Class A330. Ground handling at PVG so-so with abrupt but efficient staff, Shanghai Airlines
lounge is okay. I was very disappointed to be given a warm meal from Economy Class in a dented tin foil dish, despite
having a Business Class ticket. Apparently it's the new policy, two of the four choices are identical to Economy
Class. Crew were apologetic and professional about it. New shell seats, good IFE. On the return trip the BKK C class
check-in area and immigration was superb, lounges very full but adequate. Very good crew again. At PVG arrival, my
priority tagged baggage was one of the last to arrive on the belt.

CGK-BKK-DPS. Overall very good flights. Flight attendants were very attentive and efficient, served good food
and very well maintained clean bathrooms. In-flight entertainment is below CX or SIA but was adequate for
short distance regional flights. I will fly with TG again on these routes as supposed to selecting one of
discounted airlines in Asia.

Flew BKK-LHR-BKK in business class. Thai Airways A340-600s do not have a coat closet for business class
passengers and the in flight manager suggested that we hang our heavy winter coats on the hooks in front of
our seats, which would cover the TV monitors. One of the business class toilets was inoperative before we
left Bangkok but the flight crew kept telling people that it was occupied when people were lining up to use it.
Service and food were fine on the outbound and good on the return. Is Thai the only airline not to provide a
coat closet in business class on long haul flights?

LHR-BKK business class return over the new year. Lounge at LHR not that good, really limited drinks and
food. However, once on board service, food and drink selection were excellent, the seats are great for
relaxing but it's a struggle to get comfortable to sleep. The 2 lounges we visited at BKK were fine with ok
selection of snacks and drinks. The return flight was delayed for over 3 hours due to technical issues, again
once on board service was good still good value compared to BA and others but a flat bed would be worth
paying a bit extra for.

Frankfurt to Hanoi via Bangkok. We were dreading this flight given its length but full marks to Thai Airways
as it was about as comfortable as economy class is going to get. Reasonable leg room, bags went straight

can be better though. Boarding was good and efficient. Cabin is clean and nice.

Just flew from Brisbane to London via Bangkok in economy class and was impressed with improvements made
to IFE. A good selection appealing to many tastes. Seats were very comfortable and amenities consistent
throughout flight. The meal and beverage service was outstanding as usual. Thai catering shows value for
money and high quality of food prepared. Lastly, the cabin crew made the experience pleasant and relaxing.
They offered water and juices throughout the flight (when not serving meals) and regularly ensured lavatories
were attended to. I will be travelling with Thai again this year as it makes the journey to Australia easy and
would highly recommend them to others. Having a full business and economy classes on both legs shows that
remain a popular choice for long haul flights.

Flew LHR-CNX via BKK, 29/30 Dec. No availability in front economy (bigger pitch) or for return in March. Told
front window pairs fully booked but learned that if you book through an agent cheaper they wont let you have
the bigger pitch window pairs! I am under 6' but as soon as the passenger in front reclined his seat I was
cramped the whole journey. Very unpleasant experience.

LHR-BKK, 08/12/12. TG917, A340-600. Could not fault the airline or staff on this flight. My partner
misplaced his wallet in the Singapore lounge at LHR. He discovered this in the morning after a good night's
sleep on board. CSD sent a telex to ground staff at LHR asking them to look for the wallet. On landing at
BKK we were told it had been found intact and ground staff took us straight from the plane to collect bags
and to arrange to be reunited with the wallet - which Thai sent out on the next flight. Excellent dinner and
breakfast, cabin staff very attentive. I am now getting used to the A340 which is much quieter than the old
747 400. Hopefully though we will have the A380 on LHR/BKK shortly.

CDG-BKK-CDG. Both flights operated with a 77W. Very professional staff, available throughout the entire
flight, and very polite. Seats are quite comfortable, in line with other Asian flag carriers. Good IFE although
quite limited in terms of choice (no TV shows). Food was correct but not excellent and most popular dishes
were not always available if you were in the last served. Overall, very good airline. Recommended.

BKK-HKG-BKK. Flights were on time but I am getting frustrated with the attitude of Thai. No fast track at
Bangkok for Gold Card holders. Cannot get good seats on the plane. The quality of food has gone downhill
rapidly. A330 with no real IFE. Staff are ignorant to the needs of passengers.

TG484, Perth-Bangkok, food excellent as were the flight crew. Seat comfort and entertainment also to a high
quality. TG910, Bangkok-London, as I have previously read the seats were a little hard and only reclined to
170 degree's but still managed to get a good sleep. I felt the food was not quite as good as the previous
flight but still very much satisfactory and plenty of in flight entertainment options. TG484 left approximately
35 mins late but we were kept informed and the time was made up on the flight. TG910 left and arrived on
time. All fights with priority check in, baggage and boarding. Over all excellent experience and value for
money, I would highly recommend anyone to fly with this airline.

Been flying Thai over the years quite a bit, but frankly the need to do something with the ageing fleet. For
the second time I had on the route BKK-SYD an ancient 747 with no personal inflight entertainment. They
showed 1 kids movie and a bunch of documentaries on a screen that was shared with the whole cabin. Food
was ok, service was acceptable but if I compare it with Thai a couple of years ago they are only a shadow of
what the once have been. The flight is still not cheap - 1200$ for a one-way (can get that with scoot or Air-
Asia for around 300$) and the difference between Thai and them is fading.

LHR-MEL via BKK November 14th in business, from LHR on a A340-600. The cabin crew, food and drink were
excellent but the seat comfort very poor. BKK to MEL on a 772 and same again, in fact we thought the same
on the return journey as well. Those seats are poorly designed with thin padding, we sat on the blanket
provided which made things a little better, the footrest is a waste of time and with the slope you seem to be
sliding down all the time. The width is supposed to be 20.5 inches but I only measured 19.5. The ICE while
having plenty of films nothing seemed to be worth watching. The boarding gate for the BKK to MEL leg was
where the apron was closed for repair work? Had to be bussed about a mile or so to the aircraft. Lounge at
LHR is the SAS lounge which is rather basic, the one at BKK was poor to say it is their home airport. At MEL
they use Air New Zealand's lounge which is very good, and the lounge in terminal D at BKK was a lot better.
