LHR-BKK-LHR. Seat pitch is good, plenty of leg room. Service great - lack of personal entertainment a plus - no boxes under the seat to interfere with your room. Price not quite as cheap. Adventurous food menu in comparison with other airlines (they serve spicy curry as opposed to boiled and bland chicken).

HKT-BKK. Cabin crew very polite and friendly and well presented. The only thing that let it down was the aircraft which was a 20 year old A300. Very tight seats and leg room not too spacious. Good value for money as fare + tax only 55GBP.

ATH-BKK-SIN return on A340 and A330. All flights on time, crew professional providing passengers juices, water and snacks. Seats comfortable even all flights were full. Food average as expected. AVOD system also average, needs to be improved with bigger variety of films and games. Overall a 4 star airline, not as SQ or CX but far better than European airlines.

BKK-LHR-BKK. Lower deck outbound, and upper deck on return. Service, food and IFE were all average. Despite only a small number of seats on each deck in business class, the service lacked any personal feel. FA's do the bare minimum, and often service felt very rushed - it isn't really that noticeably difference from Economy Class. You don't get a feeling of special treatment or luxury by flying Business on Thai - the benefits are the extra space, and AVOD which you don't get in Economy this route.

Sydney to Bangkok as part of a leg to London business class and could not fault the cabin crew, who were smiling, attentive and a delight. Food delicious and audio visual equipment had a wide choice. Seat did not recline for optimum comfort but got some sleep. Overall an enjoyable experience at a reasonable price and would fly Thai again.

LHR-BKK. Thai flies its old 747 on this route. Only seat left when booked was on the lower deck by the wall which is not so desirable. Welcoming check-in staff. The plane was quite clean, seat is okay but not best in the industry - I could somehow sleep. Too little choice for IFE. Friendly and attentive crew. Food was fine. Overall, a pleasant flight.

LHR-BKK-AKL Business Class upstairs. LHR-BKK uses a dreadful old 747, my seat was dirty and ripped. The electric adjustment did not work properly and IFE failed twice. Supplied (plus replacement) head phones worked in only one ear. Food very ordinary. Staff were not anywhere near as service oriented as the marketing suggests. BKK-AKL on a newer 777. Seats worn, but significantly better than the 747. Food average, IFE was faultless on this leg. Service - better than first leg, but poor compared to Air NZ.

Flew A333 HKG-BKK. Pleasant experience with good IFE and excellent food. Very efficient and polite FA's. Plane kept clean even though a bit old. On time departures and arrival. Would fly again with Thai.

DUS-BKK-Krabi return. Check in was perfect and fast, flights on schedule. The crew in the plane was perfect, good food, drinks, etc - movie was bad.

AKL-BKK-LHR. AKL-BKK sector was a B777 with newer seats - crew attentive, plenty of drinks and smiles from the FA. BKK-LHR sector on the older 747 and although the age of this equipment has been well publicised, I didn't think the seats were markedly less comfortable than Lufthansa. I think any angled flat bed is going to be a struggle to get a good night's sleep. After dinner the FAs pretty much disappeared but as it was a night flight not so much of an issue. On balance better than I was expecting and would use them again, but if they want to achieve their aspiration to be a five star airline they need to upgrade the B747 interiors.

LHR-BKK in upper deck 17J but the seat did not recline so I was offered the only other vacant seat in business which was an aisle seat downstairs. Not my ideal choice but at least I was able to sleep. I asked to speak to the purser about this but he/she did not appear. BKK-LHR in upper deck 17A. Boarding was a mess and late. The crew were the poorest I have experienced over many years on TG - like they were on autopilot, very few smiles and not once addressed by name. Both flights on an ageing 747-400.

SYD-BKK-SYD. Full Y cabin. On-time departure, reasonable meals. Wine was quite good. FAs were pleasant and efficient. The return flight was the dreaded 11.59pm departure. AVOD packed up about 1 hour from landing. Overall a typically pleasant Thai Airways experience.

CPH-BKK-SIN. Flight outwards was half full, lots of space and got a good seat (63A) and nobody next to me. Service okay, but not optimal. food is served, but drinks comes quite late and there is no water on the tray given to you. Need to change the order or speed. The same was for the BKK-SIN flight. Backwards, full flight, opted to sleep, so not much to comment.
