LCY-GVA-JFK, a very disappointing experience. LCY to GVA 15 minute delay no explanation given.
Connecting in GVA is one to avoid. You have two choices if you go through the connection
channel before immigration this takes you straight to the gate and you can not access the
lounge. Alternatively you clear immigration then have to queue at an additional security check
which has only one scanner and took 20 minutes to clear. Business class lounge currently
closed for renovations so redirected to the Senator Lounge which was packed with a very
limited selection of refreshments, no bathroom or shower facilities. GVA-JFK. Entertainment
system took 3 hours and 4 reboots to start working. Business class 75% full however they still
managed to run out of first choice for my main meal. Seats are okay, however do not compare to
BA. Cabin crew was the one positive part of the experience - they were polite and efficient.
Arriving in Terminal 4 at JFK is probably the worst terminal for immigration clearance.

AMS-ZRH-BCN. Such a shame that Swiss has downgraded catering in Business Class, they used to
serve a delicious meal on 9:25 am flight. Swiss continues to serve Champagne, albeit the
cheapest available, and a good choice of drinks. Service is friendly and professional. While
Zurich Airport is being updated, deplaning happens most of the time at a remote stand.
Emptying a plane full takes forever, before the bus can move. Business Lounge at Zurich is
nice but crowded at times, staff at the bar seems to not want to serve you drinks. Connecting
flight to Barcelona on A321. Seating okay and seat pitch is good. At least all planes offer
the same type of seating, something that cannot be said of other Star-Alliance partners.
Service friendly, but I was hugely disappointed by the meal, that was nothing more than a
salad.

FRA-ZRH-MAD return. Inbound business flight, much better on short FRA-ZRH than ZRH-MAD.
Business class is not worth it on European flights with SWISS. The service is just okay and
the quality of the food is bad - no starter, no dessert. just a dish and a small salad. At the
end they offer a chocolate - no liquor offered. Really do not waste money in business tickets.
Return was awful - booked in economy (by chance) but plane was delayed more than 1h30 in MAD.
No explanation in the plane. Service by older maitre de cabine not nice - nobody likes to pay
for that service/quality. Due to late arrival, I missed my connection in ZRH and had to take
another flight - next flight on LH delayed also! Do not waste money buying business class
unless you need more privacy or want to have access to business lounges.

ZRH-SFO-ZRH. Flight Zurich to San Francisco good food, stewardesses in a good temper. San
Francisco to Zurich was a disaster. My seat neighour was weighing more than 200 kilos, to big
to put down the tray table, and was using part of my space as well. The PTV stopped working
after 6 hours, food just OK. I filled out a complaint form on the Swiss webpage and heard
nothing from them. You have to pay premium price to fly Swiss, in my opinion it's not worth
it. To North America unfortunately there are not many better choices. However to Asia and
Oceania I would recommend to fly with one of the 5 star airlines, not Swiss.

A343 ZRH-PVG, service was poor. Toilets were closed, one toilet flooded and water run through
the cabin, soaking our blanket and carpet under our seats. On the back trip from PVG to ZHR we
started with 2 hours delay, which made our total onboard time approx 13 hrs and again too
little to eat. Next time I take my own sandwiches on board a SWISS flight.

SFO-ZRH-NUE return. Excellent service, good food and friendly crew. The legroom in the
A340-300 with San Francisco livery was a little bit tight but acceptable, although the seats
were too hard. The seats in AVRO jets between ZRH and NUE were better than on the long-haul
segments. IFE on A340-300 was AVOD with a good selection of movies although my system crashed
a few times on the flight to ZRH. The small chocolate soccer balls at the end of all flights
were a nice touch. Swiss also provide mid-flight ham/cheese sandwiches on the daytime flight
to SFO. Overall good value for money, especially since Swiss still allows 2 bags to be checked
in for free on the TATL segments, compared to 1 bag for most other airlines.

ATH-ZRH-SFO. Early morning departure frorm ATH and friendly crew. The food was good and
service up to standard. Continued on to SFO a few days later and was disappointed to not get
the SFO logo aircraft. AVOD selections were great but there was a problem with the system in
some compartments so they restarted the system numerous times - took quite a while to watch
the first film. The food was tasty and well presented and crew constantly available. The
second meal service is now a buffet selection which works better than a set of menu choices.

LAX-ZRH-FCO on fairly new A340-300. AVOD had great new releases, flight attendants very
attentive, and meals exquisite. The airport in Zurich was clean, and not confusing. The seats
are comfortable. The only negatives were that if you pay the lowest price, don't expect
bulkhead seats, and you cannot pick the seat.

MIA-ZRH-LHR economy class A340-300. For some reason I was unable to check in online.
Thankfully I had an aisle seat. Movie choices were not great. Meal trays were not cleared
until 4hrs into the flight - not great on an overnight flight. Leg room for a tall person was
awful. The worst thing was the seat - the ergonomics didn't work. When reclined, you need to
curve your head and neck backwards which was really strange - and painful. I gave up trying to
sleep. The crew were nice and efficient - but were a bit snappy with some passengers. I have
to give them some credit though as it was a totally full flight and had lots of miserable,
delayed passengers on it. I love the aesthetics of the cabin interior - a calming colour
scheme and quite clean. The layover in Zurich was too short. I would have missed my connection
if my London-bound flight hadn't been delayed. ZRH-LHR on an A321 was good. I love the service
they give in economy on European flights. The outbound leg of this flight was on United. I'd
rather have returned the same, but Swiss wasn't that bad all-in-all. I'm a much harsher critic
of the return leg of business trips.

ZRH-MXP-ZRH in Business class. Was connecting to/from CX. Used online check-in and could
secure a seat in the second row on this tiny Avro 100. Check-in was swift and I was in the
lounge in no time. Breakfast selection was soso but then usually Swiss lounges are not that
great to start with. Was a quite area and quite relaxing. Gate was located at the far end but
at least did not have to use the bus. Crew in C class was not that friendly and made me hang
up my own jacket. She was a bit friendlier once we were airborne. Meal was a disgusting
croissant and a fruit platter which was ok. Pre boarding drink consisted of a small water
bottle with a refreshing towel sealed in plastic. Not very classy for C class. Flight was only
30 minutes though so I could not care less. Views over the alps were great and we touched down
30 minutes early at Malpensa. Return flight was overshadowed by the lousy ground staff in
Milan. After almost 13 hours from Hong Kong I was appalled to find out that Swiss did not have
a transfer desk in Milan and that I should just go 1 hour before the flight departed to the
gate. This meant that I could not access the lounge without a boarding pass. Therefore I
decided to go to check-in to get my boarding pass. At check-in they told me my bag was too
heavy and wanted me to check it in. Swiss has a rule that as a business class passenger you
are allowed two carry on bags of 8kg each but not one bag of 10kg. Even the staff said it's a
silly rule. I just ignored them and insisted on taking my bag. I could go through security
through fast track which was great. The lounge in Milan is the Lufthansa lounge which is like
any other Lufthansa lounge in the world - just grey and dull with lackluster food. However it
was better than hanging around the gate area. Boarding again was a big discussion regarding my
bag but I just showed them my C class boarding pass and ignored them. On board the crew was
very nice and friendly (younger crew are so much nicer than the older ones). Food was the same
as on flight to Milan. Arrived early but my bag did not make the connection. Three hours is
not enough for MXP it seems. All in all I was very disappointed with Swiss and if not for the
crew on the return flight I would have given 2 points.

CPH-ZRH-AGP in Business. The crew was good on both sectors but the elegance and generosity are
gone. Tacky water bottles instead of juice and champagne before take off. No reading
materials. The catering is minimal and actually worse than in Swiss economy. Thought that
Business class on Swiss was the last bastion of quality but I was sadly wrong.

Zurich-Nairobi-Zurich. Very good layout of cabin, seats convert into flat bed, very
comfortable and no sliding down as it is flat. On the outbound flight I enjoyed the in flight
entertainment, wide choice of music and films, meal and service very good. On the inbound
flight I ordered the express meal (starter, cheese and dessert with drinks). In 15 mins I had
eaten and ready to go to sleep. The food on Swiss was decent but not exceptional.

LCY-ZRH-LAX in business class. LCY-ZRH with middle seats blocked. Bus to gate at ZRH, and
quite hard to find the Swiss Lounge. When we did it was a new one to me, with tarmac views.
Long haul an OK experience although the 340 business seat (old style) not very good. Not very
adjustable but okay for a day flight. Meals well presented, crew pleasant. As a long (12 hour)
flight the shades were down nearly the entire flight- I wonder if any route flies long haul
with them up? A nice array of snacks, and good water service during "the rest" but no water
bottles handed out- a shame. Liked the ice cream midway. Arrival in LAX 40 mins early meant we
had to go and park for 50 mins before moving to the gate - thus overall we were late.
