CDG-FCO via ZRH return in Business class. I am continually impressed by the intra European business class service, cabin staff and aircraft. Also, this becomes even better considering the value offered by SWISS via their web for these fares - in many instances 40-50% cheaper than AF or LX. FCO is NOT a bright and cheerful destination early in the morning, no shops, lounges or food concessions open to keep us 'bleary eyed' travellers occupied!

CPH-ZRH-DAR economy. Flights on time, poor connections in Zurich. A stop over in NBO on the way is terrible and on the stretch NBO-DAR (and visa versa) there is only a glass of soft drink served. This is poor and stingy. Food average, and not enough on the long haul. Several were hungry at landing in Dar es Salaam. Food seem to remain but is not given out! The flight DAR-NBO-ZRH takes place during night and is more bearable. A scoop on board is the Italian Spumati sparkling white whine, though they always run out of stock within the first 3 hours flight!

HKG-Zurich. Business Class seats nothing for tall people. Noticably shorter than Lufthansa when stretched, also much steeper. Very disappointing.

BRU-ZRH-MIA & ORD-ZRH-BRU. Swiss offers free drinks / good food. Plane in excellent condition - seemed to be quite new. Very friendly staff. Inflight entertainment excellent. Just before landing in ZRH - transfer flights shown on monitor. Excellent value for money.

ZRH-MIA-ZRH: An economy long-haul flight as it used to be. Good food, free drinks (incl alcohol), water galore, charming flight attendants, up to date IFE (VOD), hot towel, swiss chocolate. Aircraft interior, seats, restrooms in top condition. Check-in and boarding quick and efficient as well. Just those printed menus were missing. Feeder flights from and to TXL were ok too.

BHX-ZHR-ATH return in Business Class. BHX-ZRH vv is operated for Swiss by Helvetic Airlines, on a Fokker F100, service was excellent, seats the same as economy class with a blocked centre seat. Service attentive and offered a Cold breakfast platter. The aircraft was clean and quiet with the engines at the rear. ZRH-ATH vv on Swiss Airbus - again standard economy seating with blocked centre seat in business class. Full hot meal offered on this flight, very attentive service. A very pleasant trip considering Swiss offer Discount business class tickets for just £50 more than lowest economy, making it excellent value for money.

LX 401 from Dublin airport cancelled due to weather conditions. Swiss staff at airport unsure and unhelpful. Baggage was checked in and we waited in check in lounge for 2 hours. Ten minutes before we were to board announcement was made. 24 hours later we checked in again with luggage and asked at Swiss check-in desk about our other 2 connecting flights. The employee assured us that our connecting flights had been confirmed. hen we arrived in Zurich the Swiss superviser told us that we were not booked on our connecting flight. Without any other choice we had to take an extra flight to Rome which meant an extra 8 hours travelling and waiting around airports with my husband and two young children. We then waited for the extra 3 hour delay in Rome to fly to Athens. Then 5 hours waiting in Athens for the next flight to fly to Rhodes. Swiss has a lot to answer for as they did not care and did not accommodate us at all.

Hong Kong to Manchester. The flight there was fine, but I unfortunately broke my ankle whilst on holiday, and called the airline to organise assistance and make sure that I could get a seat with extra leg room. The person I spoke to was rude and uninterested and basically told me that if I needed extra space, I would have to purchase a second seat. After calling back several times to make sure that appropriate seats had been assigned, and organising someone to travel with me in order to help me (as I wasn't confident the airline would look after me), and explaining the situation to the check in staff, I was really disappointed to get on the plane to see that I had been assigned a seat in the middle of a row of seats. They couldn't have picked a worse position for someone with their leg in a cast as I couldn't stretch my leg out and I didn't even have my husband sitting next to me. Luckily for me, some passengers took pity and swapped seats with us which made the flight bearable. I received basically no assistance from Swiss air staff, who made the entire experience very unpleasant and I will never fly with them again.

ZRH-LHR Business class. Very bad airport experience. After online check in, we got to the baggage drop off business class check in counters (nobody there), and were in a party of 7. We were greeted by an extremely unprofessional check in agent who didn't know what he was doing. So out comes the rude and extremely arrogant "manager" who assigns another agent to do our baggage while the other, our seats (bear in mind we already had seats assigned!). The catastrophe ended 20-30 mins later - should have taken 5 mins really. Then we went to a secondary SWISS lounge near B gates. Food and drink extremely disappointing and inedible.

ZRH-JFK return. Since check-in at Zurich is automatic, it was a disaster, but staff were helpful, even if we ended up doing it manually. The first leg was operated by new A330-300 - a vast improvement, cabin spotless and a very good inflight entertainment, with a good selection of movies, tv shows and music. It's said that it has more legroom than the other aircraft, but I didn't notice any difference. Cabin crew weren't as good as they usually are, except for one, who at least was smiling while she was serving you. For being economy, lunch was good and the snack was big. At the end of the flight, a Christmas ginger cookie was served. The second leg was operated by an older A340-300 which has bigger PTV screens but the content was worse than the newer aircraft. This time the flight attendants were friendly and very talkative. Dinner and breakfast were good.

WAW-ZRH in C-Cabin operated by Contact Air on a Fokker 100. Plane is ageing seriously. I was only passenger in C cabin, so service adequate, although food quite disappointing on a sector of 90 mins. Overall an average experience. Transfer in ZRH (onwards to LUX) a very nice surprise. Despite short connection (under 30 mins) my bags made the flight with me. ZRH-LUX flight uneventful on Avro 100. Food - nothing to wirte home about. Seating 2x3 with all seats in C class (including middle seat) taken. Again, correct, but average experience.

Zurich-Warsaw flight operated by Contact Air F100. The plane was old, but inside was okay. I was the only pax in C class so the comfort level was very good, but if the cabin was full I think that wouldn't be so nice. And they dont block the middle seat in the F100 and no curtain between C and Y. Food excellent. I was using the lounge in Zurich and was not impressed, the food and the long-bar was a stinking smoking place.
