Zurich to Chicago. I use Star Alliance partners and use Swiss at least four times as part of
my round the world business trips per year. A330-200 business class seats the old version, not
the 180° lay flat. The seats are not comfortable as you slide down all the times. Cabin staff
do a good job but very businesslike - not warm and friendly. Food OK and wine selection good.

JFK-ZRH and ZRH-BOM three times in last five months C-class. Excellent service, friendly and
professional. I like the seats in new A330, good cabin atmosphere. Plenty of space for your
notebook, drinks etc. The sleeping position is long enough, however you have to get used to
the new air-cushioning - it is not as soft as you expect it to be. Entertainment system easy
to handle with 40+ movies.

ZRH-TLV-ZRH C Class. FAs professional but not as kind as on other Swiss flights. Seats very
good for the 4 hour flight. Other European airlines have small aircraft on that route so most
Y-class and c-class passengers have the same seats. Ben Gurion and Zurich are fantastic
airports.

ZRH-BOS Economy. I secured a bulkhead seat on this flight. However, things changed for the
worse when I realized that the IFE and the reading light were both out of order. The cabin
crew tried to reboot, but my seat, and several others for that matter, did not work at all -
unacceptable for an eight-hour flight. It is even more so when the cabin light is dimmed which
leaves you with the choice to either stare at the wall ahead of you, or trying to take a nap
when you are not sleepy (at around 8 pm). Besides the IFE issue, this was an average
transatlantic flight in economy, neither better nor worse than what most airlines offer.

LIS-ZRH. Check-in in LIS easy at check-in desk. Realised upon boarding that we were assigned
exit-row seats on A321, so space to stretch. Flight left on time. FA's served a hot meal, two
rounds of drinks were served. Arrival on time and luggage within 10 mins on the carousel. Very
nice and relaxing flight, very good impression!

London City-Zurich-Tel Aviv return. I like flying out of LCY because I can show up within one
hour of departure and easily make my flight. I had a business class ticket, given a voucher at
checkin to be used to purchase a news paper, coffee, or sandwich - Swiss does not have a
lounge at LCY. Avro Jet, flight attendant charming, made sure our coffee was full, even made
a good vodka and OJ. Clearing customs in ZRH was easy. Next day I checked in early for my
flight to TLV, used the self check in kiosk, staff standing by just in case I needed help.
Dropped off my bags and went to the Panorama lounge with spectacular views of the airport and
Alps. I couldn't believe there is an open aired observation deck, thought those have all
pretty much closed. The lounge was nice offering croissant, juice, cereal, coffee, serve
yourself bar but not any food that was substantial. Boarding the A340 was a bit crowded,
everyone seemed to crowd the gate even though their cabin or row was not called. Was
travelling with my partner, we had two pre assigned window/aisle seats but ended up with seat
dupes - fortunately the other two gentlemen in our seats moved so we could sit together. The
meal service was good, red wine served was very chilled which was kind of gross. Movie
selection was ok, nothing I wanted to watch. The biz class seats were the old ones that do not
lie flat but since our flight time was only 4 hours and in the day time I didn't miss it.

MXP-ZRH-BKK return in C class. The short flights from and to MXP were much more enjoyable then
the 12 hour ones. The cabin crew were professional and friendly but the food quality and
quantity was very poor. The late supper and breakfast offered onboard were far below
expectations. Even the drinks were offered with much moderation and the amenity kit was just a
joke. IFE had a very poor offer too. Maybe is because of the night's flight but still there
was enough time for a proper service. The lounge in ZRH is pleasant.

AMS-BSL-AMS. For the return I was late at the check in (5 mins before closing) as my train was
delayed. The flight was full and lI got upgraded to a business seat. Cabin crew friendly and
nice snack for this short haul. Compared to the almost equal price of easyjet on this leg
Swiss offers a better product.

IST-ZRH-NU. On both legs outstanding service and food, variety of wines, good champagne. The
lounge in Zurich is well stocked and has a nice design.

GVA-LHR-GVA in Economy. Flight from GVA excellent. Almost full but the staff attentive, drinks
and snack, even a second drink when asked and nice touch of chocolates. The return flight was
operated by BMI on behalf of SWISS. Apart from being delayed by 2 hours, the BMI staff have
obviously been trained by SWISS on what is expected of them but, although pleasant enough,
they really do not quite have it. Everything was just about ok but not the service you get on
a 'proper' SWISS flight. Seats seem more cramped and the whole experience was less relaxed.
SWISS Economy is fine in Europe. Good prices, generous luggage allowance etc. All-in-all a far
better experience than with easyJet.

LAX-ZRH return in A340. Good IFE, lots of choices, friendly and efficient crew. Even in
Economy you get a hot towel, Scotch at no charge, metal cutlery and a pillow. Seat pitch
comparable to competitor offerings, the first rows in the A340 Economy (23-28) do appear a bit
wider than the crammed section aft. I find the equipment boxes under the A/D/G/K seats not
that constricting - much more annoying is that your IFE screen built into the seat ahead of
you cannot be angled enough to compensate for that seat being put in the fully-reclined
position. Having to view the screen from an angle distorts/pixelates the picture, limiting
your use of the IFE if you are a moderately tall person - a huge negative on a 12 hour flight.
US airlines allow you to choose your seat at the time you buy the ticket - Swiss assign you
your seat, and only allow you to make a change at the time of web check-in (23 hours prior to
departure). At that point, of course, most other seats will have been pre-assigned by Swiss,
leaving you with very few options. I got lucky with my seat assignments on both of my legs,
but the chance I might get stuck on - say - seat F45 on one of Swiss' A340s on a full, 12 hour
flight will make me think twice next time I have the option to book travel on Swiss.

BRU-BKK via ZRH return in business. BRU-ZRH on Avro 100 comfortable and pleasant staff. ZRH-
BKK return with old style business seats - staff professional if not over-friendly. Food on
this flights simply horrible, with very little choice and small portions. Really not worth
the money.

LHR-CAI via Zurich. LHR-ZRH on time and quick transfer at Zurich airport. Zurich-Cairo was an
A340 - seats not that comfy especially with the electronic box under the window seat, and
could not stretch my legs along the whole flight.
