LHR-ZRH in Business, ZRH-LHR in Economy. Outbound flight full, boarded quickly and departed
on time. Service excellent with very good cabin crew, although they did seem quite tired.
Given chocolate which is a nice touch but not really what you want at 7am. Return leg was
empty, very attentive service. Crew were chatting to passengers and making everyone welcome.
Would use Swiss again, especially with such low fares.

CDG to JFK via Zurich. CDG to Zurich flight was uneventful, short and OK. Food was
surprisingly good and simple. The move to terminal 1 in CDG was not a good one: you have to
walk long distances, and only have the choice between Star Alliance lounge that is very remote
from the gate or a closer but amateurish SAS lounge (if you are star alliance gold member).
Flight to JFK on new A330-300. Flight full, but staff calm and very good service - also good
food & wines. The new biz class is a massive upgrade compared to the old A330/A340. Seats are
a bit hard and narrow, but convert into a comfortable, long bed. Only regret is the meal is
served on a tray, not by the plate

BKK-DUS. The staff was helpful, onboard entertainment system is great. Both dinner and
breakfast were nice and good wine. Nice swiss chocolates after landing.

Short-haul on A319/F100. Very consistent superior Economy Europe product. Spotless refurbished
aircraft, smiling cabin crew and above average ground staff. Fares 50% cheaper than direct KLM
flights ex-AMS on both tickets. No problems with short connections, including baggage.
Business class looked very disappointing: same economy seats with a cold snack.

MIA-ZRH A340. Awful business seats. Was traveling with my wife and kids and the kids kept
sliding down the seat and onto the floor. Why in the world don't they just make them
horizontal and not angled? Service good. Food was exceptional. Have never said that in 30+
years of flying. ZRH airport is a dream. Bags were off in record time. Would probably fly
them again, but please, do something about those awful C class seats.

Very interested to read James Brook's comments regarding Swiss Int'l customer service. I
entirely agree. I had a problem with non allocation of frequent flyer points earned on a
recent LHR-ZRH-YUL return flight. I'm registered with Air Canada's Aeroplan (a Star Alliance
partner) and have my membership number on my Swiss profile and it gets printed on the E-
ticket. No award from Swiss of over 10K miles, resulted in a reply stating they could not help
as the flight had already taken place! Would I please contact Air Canada. Thankyou for your
understanding!! A reply from myself that in fact I had no understanding (due to the profile
and E-ticket) got no reply from Swiss. I appreciate that my problems were insignificant
compared to Mr Brook's - it's just the attitude that stinks. I've now had to go back to Air
Canada - now that's another story!

Flying Moscow DME- London LHR and missed my connection due to the appalling Russian carrier
Vim Avia delivering me to Moscow 24 hours late. I accept that by not checking in I forfeited
my flight but Swiss' attitude was that I was not deserving of any assistance and they tried to
milk me for one thousand pounds or so to take me to London. I was insured so ultimately not
out of pocket but could not believe their blanket refusal to offer any kind of assistance,
leaving me high and dry at Domodedovo at midnight. Subsequent correspondence with Swiss
Customer Service has resulted in a similarly dismissive, "crawl back under your stone" attitude.

ZRH-LAX: Easy check-in and quick walk to the First Class lounge. The lounge is nice but does
get quite crowded around noon (when lots of US bound flights leave). I tried the car transfer
to the terminal E. This involves a bit of walking, security check, interesting car drive
(tunnel, tarmac and seeing terminal E from a different perspective), a bit more walking and
yet another security check. I have done it once and would probably not do it again. The flight
itself was nice. Seats comfortable (the A340 still have the old configuration), service and
meals were good, but nothing to get crazy about. The afternoon nap was nice and relaxing.
Arrival into LAX on time and through immigration in record time. Return flight on Lufthansa -
see review there. Nothing to complain - but the little magic touches lacked to make the flight a memorable one.

Booked my flight early friday morning to fly from TXL to ZRH with the last flight that same
day. No problem with booking. Checkin pleasant. Senator Lounge very crowded but enough seats
available. Flight full in Y but only six pax in C. Bottle of water before takeoff. No hot
towels anymore but they offer champagne. Nice cold dinner and drinks kept flowing even on a
one hour flight. Very pleasant flight attendant. Arrived on time. Flying back early saturday
morning. Senator Lounge in Zurich is one of the best lounges worldwide with the incredible
bar. Good breakfast offer. All in all a very enjoyable short trip.

VIE-ZRH-ARN Business Class A320. Fine with friendly efficient service. Reasonably comfortable
seats with middle seat kept free. ZRH-ARN better, with snack, choice between 2 warm meals,
generous selection of wines and very attentive service. Landed on time and luggage one of the
first off the belt 10 minutes after landing.

FRA-ZRH-YUL in Economy class. Clean plane, efficient and professional staff, good food
(relatively speaking) and standard drink service (which you don't get on eg. United), and ZRH
is very modern. AVOD system didn't work so well. Other than that, no complaints.

HKG-ZRH-MAN and back. HKG-ZRH in Economy and ZRH-HKG in Business. Cabin crew HKG-ZRH very
cheerful and friendly, plenty of legroom and On-Demand entertainment. A340 was a bit old,
inside spotless including the toilets. On-time departure and arrival. Quick transfer to MAN
not many people on A319 so plenty of room to stretch, Drinks served as well as nice croissant
and chocs. MAN-ZRH operated by Helvetic on ancient F100, but again inside spotless with snacks
and drinks. ZRH-HKG Business upgrade on points. I wouldn't pay for Business Class as the seats
are useless unless you like sliding onto the floor. Crew professional and flight good. Seat
only comfortable if placed in a lounge position. Nevertheless managed to catch some sleep.
Food only 2 choices but first grade quality. Overall, I think Swiss have come a long way and
are catching up to the old Swissair standard. Economy product is really good and I bet once
they improved the Business seats, they'll be a great way to fly.

DAR-ZRH-LHR. Nice flight as you take off late and sleep for most of the night. The connection
in Zurich to London was only 45mins, which meant my luggage did not arrive in London with me
but was delivered with in 8 hours.

JFK-ZRH-BOM. JFK-ZRH new A330-300, new business class, surprisingly good seats AVOD
entertainment system and food, drink and service great. ZRH-BOM leg very disappointed with the
C cabin, older seats - difficult to believe it was the same airline, difficult to believe that
there would be such a lag in the up-gradation of C cabin. Entertainment system terrible head
sets do not working properly, personal LCD screen blurry, not only on my seat, the same was
the case on the screens of 2 other vacant seats checked.
