Brussels - Copenhagen - Bangkok and back. Not at all impressed by this airline, old airplanes and not comfortable. Service rude and if it was not for the Asian vegetarian food I booked, it seems to me we would not have eaten anything as food served to other passengers did not look very good. I know other airlines charging the same price for the same flight but giving better service and where staff at least remain polite.

HEL-ARN on a clean and updated Blue1 B717. Took off more or less on-time during a mini-blizzard, circled around Stockholm for a while before being allowed to land (also some light snow falling.) Service minimal as is the SAS way, but in general, flight made it okay and the price was very right. Gate staff in HEL could learn some courtesy, but SAS outsources this.

Stockholm - Copenhagen - Newark - Stockholm. I have mixed feelings about this trip. On the positive side, the planes were well in time, the food was good, the toilets were clean, and the staff was friendly. On the negative side, the seats were hard, the entertainment system real poor, and the (expensive) snacks not for free. But when travelling from Sweden to NY, SAS is still the best alternative.

TXL-ARN on B736. The aircraft was not the newest but it was clean and well-kept. The cabin crew were attentive and constantly walked through the cabin making sure that everyone was happy. Only tea and coffee (with numerous refills) offered for free but that is ok for this short flight.

Flew business class Chicago to Copenhagen, I was expecting a fun flight as I've always thought of SAS as premium airline. The whole experience was miserable and spoilt by a couple of terrible flight attendants, who must have been having a bad day. They treated us customers like naughty school boys. If SAS accept this kind of behaviour from their crew then I'll be happy to spend my money with someone else.

Madrid-Copenhagen. Old airbus 321, we were 4 people seated at the back, last row meaning seats wouldn't even recline. This is ok when flying with low cost carriers but really when paying full price at least you would expect them to inform you at check in about the seating. SAS insists on payment for food and most beverages. This is ok as they do inform of it, however for a 3.5 hrs flight it is not acceptable to run out of all food articles and leave passengers with empty stomachs. No consideration from FA and no apology, only fake smiles. No aircon in plane either during the 30 min before take off, meaning cabin was very hot and everybody sweating. It makes me wonder why they insist on presenting cartoons as their inflight entertainment on a flight with only business and senior passengers and 2 children in the whole cabin.

CPH-CDG on new A320. Flight on time. Good selection of newspapers at gate. Gate agent all smiles. Excellent on board staff, professional and friendly. Light snack-meal ok. Seats not especially comfortable and look cheap. Legroom sufficient (row 4).

Flew ARN-ORD and it was very pleasant. Flight departed a bit late but landed 25 min ahead of schedule. Food was great and I even got both dishes, very friendly staff.

CPH-MUC. Flight delayed, very little information given to PAX. Onboard no real distinction between business and economy. Not even a curtain any more. Never told what the food was, but it looked like fowl. Could have been chicken or turkey. Trays not placed on the table, but just handed out to PAX. Food still plastic wrapped when served. Impossible to get a Tuborg beer. Told that the beer sold most widely in Denmark had now been replaced with a discount brand. Seats same as in economy, but with middle seat free. No entertainment - the monitors apparently did not work. We were never told, but given a manual safety demo by disinterested cabin staff.

CPH-OSL and OSL-CPH-AAR. Three short flights within Scandinavia, as usual a good experience. Travelled on a last-minute youth ticket, which is a great booking option for students. All flights arrived on time, on the last leg to Aarhus (25 minute flight) they somehow managed to catch up the 10 minute departure delay. Nice with a cup of coffee/tea and free newspapers. SAS is reliable.

I have been flying with SAS a lot in the past 2 years. Mostly over the Atlantic ocean from Europe to USA. A lot of the flights have been ok with no or no mentionable delays, but quality with SAS is going down. This last flight we did not get any warm meal served, just a cold lunch. The flight time was nearly 8 hours, so I was very disappointed. The aircraft's are also getting a bit old with some parts (like the seat cushions) falling off. Entertainment on board has been going down recently also with the system not always working. SAS needs to update its image and concentrate on serving passengers better.

Excellent flight between Tokyo and Copenhagen (SK984). Check-in quick and friendly. On time arrival and departure. Sat in economy and received excellent service. Staff very professional, not overly friendly. They know their job and make you feel taken care of. Good legroom, clean bathrooms and many good films/music in the entertainment menu. My only complaint is the serving of free meals which is small, bread rolls felt nothing but fresh. Two small meals is not much to rave about for an 11 hour flight. It is possible to buy snacks during the flight, but during my flight they only had chocolate and chips, not the best alternative if hungry. Will travel with SAS again which has a feel of an airline that knows how to deliver, even if meals are small.

EWR to CPH/HAM return. Flights left and arrived on time. Seat comfort in Economy is limited (fine for short persons) due to limited seat pitch, but when the adjacent seat is empty, flight is bearable. Service on board is inattentive and at best mediocre. Warning: SAS allegedly offers upgrades through Optiontown (which charges a "service fee" plus money up front for the possible upgrade). I tried to get such upgrades on the transatlantic part of the flights, but did not get it although there were empty seats in Economy extra and Business.

DUB to ARN return. Way there was on time, plane was clean and in a good state. Crew however were not very friendly, no full drink service available and no free food so don't think it's value for money (paid full service fare) same service on way back. On return plane was on time at ARN airport and landed 15 mins early.

HAM-CPH in economy class. Duration: 35 minutes seat 11C in a CRJ900. Usual excellent facilities for check-in and security in Hamburg. The flight was short and take off was on time, landing 15 minutes ahead of schedule. The cabin attendants were dour-faced and unhappy looking and the service was quite poor. If you weren't in business or 'premium economy' you didn't get a full drinks service. I was given 100ml of orange juice in the tiniest drinks container I have ever seen on an airline. It can't be due to time constraints because handing out 100ml or 330ml makes no different to service speed in my opinion. Aside from the rubbish service, the aircraft was clean and in a generally good state of repair. I would recommend this flight, only because it is a fast and convenient way of getting to Copenhagen. If you want service and proper-sized drinks - take the train.

Two flew from Washington, DC to Copenhagen and Stockholm in August-Sept 2012. We got a great price for business seats, well worth it. The food and service were terrific (you must know that my airline of comparison is United.) So much better than US carriers, it is unbelievable. We had good in flight entertainment. The seats do lay flat and are much better than coach anywhere, but they are not as flat as I would have liked to make this flight perfect. The lavatories were very clean, for the entire trip. I would definitely fly SAS business again anytime.

Boarded Flight SK943 at 15.10 in Copenhagen. Departure time was 15.40. We were kept in the hot, crowded airplane with children crying for over 4 hours at the gate. The plane did not move and we were not allowed to leave the plane. There were only brief explanations that there were mechanical difficulties. The passengers were wondering why we were not allowed to get off the plane and wait in the boarding gate area until the plane was checked and ready to leave. I thought if there were delay problems like this that people should be allowed to get off the plane after 2 hours and then re-board. We finally left at 20.00. When we arrived in Chicago, still no further explanations were given, no apologies for the delay, or thank you for flying with SAS. I was very disappointed. I have flown on SAS a number of times and never had this type of service.

Flew SAS Heathrow to Oslo and Oslo to Tromso. Friendly crew, fast check-in, endless teas and coffees, free newspapers on the international leg; a nice touch was the crew laying blankets over sleeping passengers. No free food though, so cannot be compared with a proper full fare airline like BA.

CPH-EWR-DEN, DEN-ORD-CPH. With the possibility to use your star alliance points at the gate I had the pleasure of flying business on the long stages of this journey, this cabin gives you even more pleasure of the experienced, friendly and dedicated crew always found at SAS flights.
