BKK-LHR Premium Laurel Class, check-in BKK was quick - but even flying in business class still
wasn’t allowed to go through the Fast track queue for BKK Immigration. It was less than half
empty in business class, therefore I had two seats both for myself. Noticed that Eva Air has
cut down the costs even in business class, there is no soup on the menu as they used to offer,
and the salad bar is no longer available - instead they’re already placed in plate. Generally,
food was adequate but not the best quality. Flight attendants were friendly and attentive
enough. One of them gave me a memory-foam pillow to put under my legs to reduce the discomfort
of their terrible so called lie-flat bed - amazingly it did the trick. AVOD could do with more
updated films and a better selection of music.

AMS-BKK return in economy. Flight to BKK very good. Not many passengers in economy. Anyway,
because of the lack of passengers check in was the quickest I've experienced. Onboard almost
everyone had a row of 3 for himself (flying with B777, since 29th March replaced on AMS - BKK
route by B747-400). FA friendly, attentive. Plenty of drink runs, food ok. IFE not impressive
with only few movies to choose from. No real up to date blockbusters. Return flight to
Amsterdam a complete nightmare; check in chaos (can't blame the staff at BKK, it was due to
the passengers who don't understand that carry on luggage doesn't include a oversized
suitcase!). FA again friendly. Food bad! Breakfast was ok and served about 2 hours before
landing. Will I fly EVA again? Yes, but only if China Airlines or THAI don't have a good
offer.

LHR-BKK-LHR in Elite class. Check in at LHR very good. Separate desk for Elite class, and
prebooked seats honoured. Departed on time, and drinks soon brought round. Good meal, wine and
choice of beers. Breakfast good, served 2 hours before landing. IFE with plenty of up to date
films, games and tv programs. Drinks runs fairly frequent. FAs pleasant with good English, and
toilets clean. Seats reasonably comfortable, nice touches were duvet and slippers, and flower
in the toilets.

London to Bangkok return in Elite Class. Good points; legroom, check-in and in flight
entertainment. Bad points; food was disappointing, cabin staff were polite but not
particularly attentive, cabin interior was a bit worn and tired. In summary, it was OK and for
a premium economy fare relatively good value compared to the other direct carriers. But in
terms of service etc you cannot compare it to what you get on someone like Malaysia Airlines.

Good flight to Bangkok and back with Eva in Feb/Mar. Ground staff were excellent and arranged
exit seating for us with no trouble. Flight Assistants were helpful and provided water/juice
every hour but weren't very talkative. Found them good value for money and would use them
again.

London to Bangkok return elite class. 38" pitch seat and AVOD entertainment made these flights
for me. I am 6'5"tall and was comfortable. Even got quite a bit of sleep on the way out. Staff
were great and food fine. Nothing was too much trouble. Flights were punctual . Aircraft
modern and clean.

SFO-TPE. Efficient and courteous check-in. Excellent service in a deserted Premium Laurel
cabin. Good IFE with a nice selection of movies and other attractions. The food was fresh
and good. I'm not a fan of the inclined lie-flat beds which feel like I'm sleeping on a
slide. Probably the best value across the Pacific for a front cabin flight.

LHR-BKK-LHR. Managed to change seat allocation on way out to the back of economy with just two
seats, legroom good for economy & food okay but not great. The drinks service is slow, almost
two hours after takeoff before offered and that was at least 15 mins after food was served -
if you request drinks there seems to be no problem, but you have to ask. Return flight there
was no seat changes available with the online check-in, seemed strange that the FA's insisted
that the windows shutters all pulled down and the lights were turned off for approx 8 hours
when it was only 3.30pm Bangkok time. AVOD was quite good but could do with more selection and
some more current films with such a long trip

Plane very full on outward journey overnight from Heathrow to Bangkok so not at all
comfortable. Entertainment okay, loos clean, food unspeakable and if you sit at the back they
will have run out of what you want by the time they reach you. Tried to do an upgrade to
premium economy for return and had plastic ready but unable to process as I was on a group
ticket. However, given aisle seat then found no-one else on my four-seat row so was able to
spread out.

LHR-BKK-LHR. Drinks served on boarding and after take-off before meal. Good selection of
wines and self-service bar is a great idea. Return trip much the same, good standard of
English from the FA's who came through cabin with drinks and snacks. EVA offer great value
with the only niggle being the seats do not convert to lie-flat so can be uncomfortable for
sleeping if you are over 6' tall.

Business class LHR-BKK-TPE-BNE return. Excellent service, meals, lounges and check-in. The
inclined lie-flat beds are not very comfortable, but acceptable considering the price

LHR-BKK and BKK-LHR. We were planning to fly Thai but changed to EVA having read superior
reviews. What a mistake! Good points were comfortable seats with lots of legroom plus good
food. On outward leg, food was served 2 hours after take off with no prior drinks service.
When drinks were served (just as we were finishing our meal), the choice was extremely limited
and of poor quality - an approx. 100ml measure of red wine served from a waxed carton. Lights
were then dimmed and we settled down to sleep for the remaining 8 hours of the journey.
However, we were awoken by loud, poor quality, pre-recorded announcements over the PA in
mandarin and english throughout the journey. The flight attendants were conspicuous by their
absence and when they were present, unable to communicate with the vast majority of
passengers. The return journey took off late. Again food was served 2 hours after take-off
with the first drink service 30min later and also of poor quality. Due to the absence of
catering facilities post security at Bangkok, we had gone 4 hours without a drink at the time
the meal was served. I asked for a glass of water with my meal and was told that I would have
to wait for the drinks trolley. Three hours into a 13 hour flight, the only drinks available
were water and fruit squash. As soon as the first meal was finished, the attendants insisted
that all window blinds be shut (3.00pm Thai time, 8 hours before dark). Cabin lights were
dimmed and attendants were absent until 2hrs before landing at Heathrow when a second meal was
served (minus drinks!).

LHR-BKK return in Elite class. Outbound leg in row 20 which is a bulkhead seat. In my opinion
not worth asking for as if you are taller then 5"5 you can not fully stretch your legs.
Inbound flight in row 22 which was much better. In row 20 you cannot hear any announcements.
Overall two very good flights and Elite is worth the upgrade. The service is better, so are
the food and seats. Plenty of personal space, comfortable seats and legroom which is so
important on a 12 hour flight. Food on the way out was poor and served immediately after take
off with no drink run before. Food on the way home was better as was the level of service.
AVOD is good, but needs more films and the movie selection of the way out was poor.
