LHR-LAX (Aug 2012). Flew 777-300 from LHR-LAX in Premium Economy Spaceseat - The whole trip was
fantastic, boarding quick and smooth and FA's well presented and all smiling. Quick taxi and take off, food
and drinks started 30 mins after airborne. No first drinks run as this came with the starter. Food was
excellent and business class quality, all served on proper china, slightly odd that dessert is served with
starter but nothing to moan about. Small portions but delicious. Wine topped up. IFE was excellent and so
many different new movies to watch. I don't see what all the fuss is about with legroom on the spaceseat, I
am 5ft 11 guy, small-med build and had plenty of legroom and was more than comfortable. I will definitely fly
with them again and also recommend to others.

AKL-LAX-AKL, no time for lounge. Great food and wine on both flights, check in ok, crew a bit overbearing,
safety video irritating.

LAX to AKL. Just wanted to compliment Air NZ on the timing of this flight. NZ5 left LA in the night and
reached Auckland at 6.30 am. After the whole day in LA, you sleep on flight and start a new day in Auckland.
A 13-hr flight and minimal jetlag! Washrooms clean, staff service excellent. Seats a bit too cosy but I scored
the aisle seat (57B) on the two seater in economy and travelled comfortably.

Auckland to Hong Kong premium economy. Seat comfortable even though pax in front fully reclined for almost
whole journey but the footrest doesn't do anything for me. Food and wine very good and crew welcoming and
friendly. In flight entertainment good.

My wife and I recently travelled to Europe and back on NZ and LH as a Star Alliance Package. First flight was
AKL-PVG. Plane clean and tidy. Toilets clean. Entertainment ok. Food a joke - bad beyond belief. Parked at a
remote gate at Pudong and got drenched getting on bus. Why wont AirNZ pay for an airbridge. Also too many
PA announcements throughout the flight - mostly concerning trivia. Second flight NRT-AKL last week.
Excellent service. Good food. Overall too erratic in delivery of a common service standard.

AKL-HKG-LON return in Business Premier last month. Check-in staff very helpful. Lounges comfortable but
with limited food options which didn't matter too much since we were served plenty of tasty food on our
flights. The cabin crew and the flat-bed seats were the highlight of the Air New Zealand Business experience.
Crew member on our Hong Kong - Auckland fight dealt especially professionally with some rather rowdy
passengers who enjoyed the in-flight service a wee bit too much and required settling so the rest of us could
get some sleep!

Christchurch - Wellington - Nelson. Flight from Christchurch to Wellington on a 737-300 seat - comfortable for
the flight. Cabin crew took a while to bring the snacks and water around and then had to rush to clear
everything away. Arrived in Wellington on time, went to the gate for the connecting flight, due to depart at
8.45pm from Wellington and eventually boarded at 10.30pm only to be told the flight was now cancelled. Put
up in a hotel over night and staff were very good in accommodating me on the earliest flights to Nelson.
Unfortunately I had to go via Christchurch, again 737 flight was good, dash 8 flight was fairly poor with the
gate staff allowing someone on the wrong flight which added to our 1 hour delay. Arrived in Nelson only to
find my bags had not arrived. Stooped flying long haul with Air NZ a while ago, please don't make me find
another regional route.

AKL-SYD on NZ101, on B767. Was seated in 18J, the cabin itself looked very worn out and tired. The seat
itself was fine for a 3.5 hr flight, a little bit lumpy on the backrest. Despite being an exit row seat, I found
that there is less legroom than a standard seat. As the bulkhead makes it limiting where you can put your
feet. Cabin crew, didn't seem that friendly for this flight and it really felt like it was a huge chore for them.
The entertainment system was good, although the The Works features on my screen was disabled for some
reason (Movies, Drinks on demand etc). It didn't bother me, as I didn't even need to use it. The flight map
also didn't work, which was a little bit annoying. The food, I opted for the continental breakfast, was very
small. Not even worth it. A measly cupcake, fruit salad and inedible muesli. Not that it was within NZ's
control but on arrival in SYD our gate wasn't free (after waiting over 25mins), so had to be let off at the
cargo area (another wait, as the cargo was moved out the way and then had to take a very long bus ride to
the terminal. Having to stress the whole time I might miss my connection in SYD. Overall, I wasn't too
impressed with NZ, having received better service previously. Obviously NZ were expecting to have their
787's by now, but the 767's are in need of replacement. I would not recommend NZ based on the tired/dated
plane, and below average service. Perhaps, I was just unlucky this time.

After several stages of a 3 day trip on a "less than great" airline we joined ANZ in Pudong for the 11 hour
flight to AKL. Great cabin crew and food with excellent service. Good in flight movies. Seat spacing was
better than a lot of airlines but still fairly cramped and I'm not keen on the 3-4-3 configuration - prefer 2-4-2
for convenience. Not happy with their alliance with Virgin though.

My Husband and I travelled from London to Los Angeles and felt the cabin staff were friendly, efficient and
attentive. The food served was tasty and the New Zealand sparkling wine excellent. The seats were adequate
and fairly comfortable for the long haul flight considering the price difference with upper classes. It was a
better experience than we have had with two other airlines and would definitely use Air New Zealand again.
