| Tabriz airport is small but efficient. You can't expect an international airport will all the duty-free etc. It's built for domestic flights but still offers a few flights to regional capitals and holiday destinations. Tabriz airport is the home for ATA airline which is a private Iranian airliner. Direct Istanbul-Tabriz flights are very convenient and as I said with minimal bureaucracy at the airport. The airport itself is tidy but with a limited choice for customers. The transit hall and the check-in area relatively small but they meet the purpose. The selection of food and beverages is limited though there a few nice souvenir shops. Tabriz is known for good food, Dry Nuts, Sweet shops which are all available at the airport.
