"really easy to find your way"

(Netherlands)

Trip Verified | Went through Muenster-Osnabrueck for a commuter flight to FRA. Due to the not so many flights, there isn't much to see or do at the airport. For example, there is only one place to get food after security, with not much choice. There are countless places to sit down though, and you have a good view of the apron (where not much happens) through the large, glass windows, and from the visitor's terrace. Because of two cancellations in a row, we had to spend 8 hours at the airport, and it quickly got boring. On the other hand, it's really easy to find your way, and queuing times are minimal, even just before a flight leaves, thanks to the very efficient security personnel. Wifi was free, and reasonably fast.

"you experience a relaxed departure"

(Netherlands)

Verified Review | A long way by bus from either Munster or Osnabruck. And with 7,50 euros a rather expensive bus ride. There is an expressbus (S50) departing in front of Munster railway station every hour (35 mins) and a slow one (45 mins) also every hour. But apart from this, FMO is one of those regional airports where you experience a relaxed departure. A late morning departure resulted in a very quiet airport. You get out of the bus and are literally meters away from luggage drop-off. Security was a breeze and I even noticed friendly security agents which is a rarity. Free wifi, short walkways to the gates and quick boarding. A small airport means short taxiing and no waiting for departing planes as well. All in all: very good. It was my first departure from FMO and I hope it won't be my last. Downside: not many flights and flying via MUC or FRA on Lufthansa is usually much more expensive than from DUS (why LH?).

Muenster-osnabrueck Airport customer review

Good transport connection via BAB 1. Moderate parking-rates close to the terminals. Check-In only 30 minutes prior to departure. Short distances. More than 10 daily flights major Star Alliance hubs MUC and FRA and direct flights to holiday destinations. Daily low-cost flights to London (STN) Vienna Rome. FMO is a good choice for travellers in northern NRW western Niedersachsen and eastern Holland who want to start their journeys (business travel as welll as holiday travel) relaxed and in a friendly atmosphere.

It's development in the last 10 years is rather impressive. More than one million passengers now use this airport each year for a regional airport this is rather much I think. I like she short distances the easy and quick checkin services the nice environment and the very close parking facilities. I you arrive at this airport you have to wait never longer than 3 min. for the luggage delivery.

Muenster-osnabrueck Airport customer review

Nice clean and efficient regional airport which I have used regularly over the years. Never had queues at check-in. Living in the Eastern part of Holland FMO (the official abbreviation of Münster-Osnabrück) is a good alternative for me to Amsterdam. Provided that is (1) you have a car-- public transport connections to the airport are not simple and not fast and (2) you find a good and not too expensive flight--especially flights with connections in major hubs Frankfurt or Munich can be rather expensive.
