Not Verified | The Internet connection is timed to 30 minutes and so bad mobile is far superior, there's not enough seats and those that are there are extremely uncomfortable hard plastic with dividers. No quiet zones, low temperature makes you catch cold, and then there's the staff. The service is forced and makes you feel bad for even ordering anything, and dont try resting at any of the restaurants' better chairs - they'll call security even in the middle of the night. Reason? Well, who really knows, maybe they like seeing people resting on the cold floors since there's not enough seats? There's even a dedicated announcement just to remind there are thieves. If you can avoid, especially if you have to lay over - pay a bit more, and choose one you know to be people-friendly.

✅ Trip Verified | The airport in Gdańsk is an absolute disaster. The service is incompetent and rude, and the check-in lines are absurdly long. Virtually every service is poorly organized, from security checks to baggage collection, which takes forever. The terminals are dirty, the toilets are neglected, and the food in the food court is expensive and tasteless. I do not recommend anyone to use this airport - if possible, choose another place to start your trip. Lotnisko w Gdańsku to absolutna katastrofa. Obsługa jest niekompetentna i nieuprzejma, a kolejki do odprawy są absurdalnie długie. Praktycznie każda usługa jest źle zorganizowana, od kontroli bezpieczeństwa po odbiór bagażu, który trwa wieczność. Terminale są brudne, toalety zaniedbane, a jedzenie w strefie gastronomicznej jest drogie i niesmaczne. Nie polecam nikomu korzystania z tego lotniska – jeśli masz możliwość, wybierz inne miejsce na start swojej podróży.

Not Verified | I am partially disabled with restricted mobility. I have metal in my leg and hip following reconstructive surgery. As a frequent traveller I know I set off the security metal archway detector; therefore, I know what to expect and ensure I carry no additional material which might exasperate my situation. Noting some airports adjust the sensitivity of these detectors. So, back to the Gdańsk experience. Having detected the archway, I am directed to remove my footwear. My trainers are cloth/plastic, no metal. This is the default situation and very annoying. It is obviously not my shoes that cause the alarm. Of course there are no aids, by example a chair, and I am forced to comply or no fly! So, no shoes, but despite my explanations I again alert the archway. I did tell you that would happen - me to the suspicious security person - now a physical search. Remember I am partially disabled. Stand on one leg and show me your sole! I’m +60 years of age and there is no standing support aid. I am then very roughly treated by a security thug who has the compassion and intellect of a slug. Frankly this was probably my worst experience over the years. Shame on you Polish Civil Aviation Authority. Treat partially disabled travelers with restricted movement with more respect and compassion.

✅ Trip Verified | I had a very bad experience in this airport. The airport is new and beautiful but you feel you have gone at least 30 years back the way the security system works here. In my arrival we waited ages to get through the security which I would have kept blind eye on it but my departure made me hate travelling here again. From the time I was in the line I think I was singled out cause others were passing through but she kept me waiting behind and then unfortunately having metal clip on my hair made it worse. In other airport if it had made any noise, they used to ask me why it made noise? Do I have anything with metal in it and they used to let me go but here I was checked for explosives!!! which I appreciate it cause I know I’ll be safe on the airplane however why me? It was embarrassing. I never ever had such an experience in any airport and I travelled to many places. I just hate travelling here or even Poland in the future. Never this airport for sure but I read the reviews for other airports before I travel to this country if I do come back.

✅ Trip Verified | Airport Security very bad, was a big queue take as more than 1 hour to pass through, no speaking English shouting and screaming all the time with out no reason. They don't let us priorities to catch our flight and we miss our flights. Straight away they remove us from airport with out any help during to rescheduled our flight down stairs.

I'm writing this because, sadly, I need to use this airport often, and each time I'm there, already with bad experiences, they still managing very well to climb on new levels of bad behavior towards me and other passengers. They just bark and yell on travelers. Word “please” does not exist in their vocabulary. If you try to talk to them, it only magnifies they bad attitude. My last adventure there was about pants belt, which was not a belt, it was part of pants attached there for good. It was impossible to take it off, and yet they were demanding it. Explaining, showing – pointless. Had to rip out whole thing, and ruined the cloth because of some lady having bad day. Cannot wait next visit there… avoid as long as it’s possible.

Not Verified | Again a negative experience at this airport. Security is of a low level, there is a negligence on the part of the security body. The X-ray control is shameful to see how a policeman, without being well uniformed, rumbling in a chair says a lot about himself. Pressure to pass the trays with hardly any passengers. Workers from the airport without masks in this time with the Coronavirus Rising Up again. Today is 27/11/2021. First flight of the morning with LOT, horrible company too. Don't take except if you don't have other choice.

✅ Trip Verified | Health and safety rules are very loosely followed. I was marked for a random check (the one where they check your hands for traces of explosives). The female security worker was not wearing her mask and I asked her to put it on before approaching me. Since then she was plain rude to me and barked orders. The two hand sanitizers that I could locate were empty. When I looked around practically none of the staff were wearing their masks correctly even though it was crowded.

✅ Trip Verified | A newly build airport of a modern and clean design resembling sea waves. The terminal building is quite big and feels very spacious. Staff, security check, duty-free shopping are all great but also nothing out of the ordinary. People do their job efficiently and quickly. The terminal was also exceptionally clean. Boarding was quick and efficient. Only letdown is the crude design of the seats and not having much charging points.
