Not Verified | Hell on earth! Despite the airport being modernised and made bigger by Fraport, my experience on departure was nothing short of hell. On arrival, the air conditioning in a heatwave was not working. The departures/check in hall was packed full of travellers. Long queues of people waiting because there were not enough check in staff for all the flights. BA had only one lane for check in, no business lane. My flight was late leaving because of this. Eventually another line was opened but still no line for BA Club Europe. It took nearly an hour to check bags in, in sweltering heat. Fraport have really got it all wrong, hopeless management and clearly understaffed.

Not Verified | Very quick visit through this airport - it's small and gets very busy but I did not encounter any issues. Bags arrived on belt within 10 minutes, was out in 20 mins. Check in efficient, small duty free shop, kiosk airside, security staff polite. Am embarrassed to witness how rude some passengers are when using this airport. They don't use bins for their litter, talk rudely to staff and have an air of arrogance. It will never be Changi but it works for the short time you are there.

✅ Trip Verified | Abrupt and rude staff. Departure lounge has 1 person serving in the cafe. She makes the coffee, gets the food, takes the cash. A guy smashed a bottle of wine and she went to mop it up. Hence extremely slow service. Rubbish place

✅ Trip Verified | You know an airport has major problems when the number of "welcome assistants" exceeds the number of check in staff. If I am going to hell when I die, Mykonos airport reminded me what I can expect. The new private owners give every indication of wanting to milk the profits without considering passengers at all. It was completely unclear where to queue to check in and I wasted time where you hand your bag over and had to queue again. Several people made the same mistake. Departures horrible. No spare seats, 30 minute queue just to get a cold drink. No vending machines.

Considering that Mykonos is a small, hilly island, this little airport does well. It is small so transit through from disembarkation to exit is really quick and not far to walk. Arrived on connecting flight from Athens on Aegean at 6.30am. Bags were out in around 10 minutes. Return flight back to Athens a week later. Afternoon flight so busier as 2 flights departing together. Check in was busy, big queues but efficient check in staff. Small coffee / sandwich counter and gift shop airside and small duty free shop, toilet facilities and snack bar with hot drinks once passed passport control and security. It's not the Business Lounge at Changi but it does the job for the short time people are there. Good job.

✅ Verified Review | This place doesn't even deserve to be called an airport. Nothing I've recognised from 30 years of air travel is present here. Certainly nothing that's made travelling easier. It's total chaos. Badly designed and totally disorganised. From arriving to boarding the flight I was stood in any of four different queues for two hours. Checking in on advance saves no time. You have to queue out of the airport at a desk which has no sign so you just hope it's the right one. People push in constantly. After an hour of that once you've it a tag for your bag you have to queue again to deposit your bag because the scanner is before the check in desk conveyors. Then queue again for passport. Then stand in a packed gate area in another queue until you board. We got in a bus that left us near the wrong plane and had to walk across the Tarmac. Stressful, chaotic, tiring and a massive time waster.

"absolute chaos"

Absolute chaos. Very little staff to help, no television screens to advise on passenger travel information. People were queuing at the wrong places thinking that they were queuing at the check in desk when in fact they were queuing at the departure security area all due to the fact there isn't the staff and no clear signs to be seen anywhere. The toilets are terrible, dirty with no proper facilities for passengers. Only one small cafe in which I had to queue for 30 minutes to buy a bottle of water and a juice. There is inadequate seating with passengers having to stand for lengthy periods of time. Mykonos Airport needs a complete overhaul to ensure its passengers receive a good service. The island has a lot of tourism so come on mykonos airport do something about this situation.

The worst airport we have ever been to, it's an absolute shambles from the minute you walk through the door both coming and going. There is no organisation. You queue to check in then queue in an even bigger queue to drop your bag then another queue for security. There are no computer screens so you have no idea about your flight times etc or delays. No air conditioning. The toilets are disgusting, no tissue, never been cleaned by looks of it. Not a nice experience which is a shame as Mykonos itself is absolutely stunning but the airport would put us off coming back.

Probably the worst airport I've ever been through. Woefully understaffed, poorly laid out and even more poorly organised. Dirty, with even dirtier toilets with no soap and the longest security queue ever. Mykonos is a beautiful place but this airport means I may never return.

Avoid this airport if you can. When arriving at Mykonos airport the 1st August, in the peak of the holiday season, 3 flights were leaving at the same time and only 2 check in desks were open. It took 2.5 hours to check in one luggage. No effort has been made to speed up the process. There was not a single information screen or announcement to tell about delays and no staff was visible. The checked-in bags security is made manually by the passenger and you need to go through the other queues. It's very messy and disorganized. The departure lounge is small and very crowded. Our flight was delayed 2 hours simply to allow private jets to land and our plane was not supplied with water. The service provided by the airport is unacceptable. Mykonos has been a popular destination for decades but their airport is beyond any acceptable standards.
