Not Verified | Well while returning to SG Changi from HCMC, we ate at airport after security/immigration and we were horrified to find that every item is being sold in USD in Vietnam and exorbitant rate. Now I understand that why people were rushing to eat at airport public area before check-in. Not impressed.

Not Verified | Worst airport. No organisation. Staff are unhelpful and enjoy making your life miserable (so you can give them ‘coffee money’). All the bathrooms smell horrible, no bin for used sanitary products. I feel sorry for the cleaners to put up with this. Should be signs in the bathroom to guide guests. Just feeling dirty everywhere here. Overpriced foods/cafes for Vietnam currency, unlike other airports. It makes me feel Vietnam will never be my destination again. Such a beautiful country but worst airport, worst airport employees, worst toilet services.

Not Verified | Currently in the line for immigration and no organisation whatsoever. Even though we have been waiting in line for a long time apparently it pays to be at the back of the queue because they have just opened up the rope barriers to let people behind us go in front. Absolutely ridiculous, arrive an hour earlier than what your flight provider advises to get through in time!

✅ Trip Verified | An awful place where everything is too slow and lines are too long. I’ve never been to a worse place to take a flight. If you want to leave here I suggest being 5/6 hours early as I was here 3 hours early and had no chance to do anything.

Not Verified | Worst Airport I have ever flown in or out of. When you arrive at this airport it is a complete circus and takes forever to get through customs. When you are departing from this airport it’s even worse. The staff here are completely miserable and enjoy making your life difficult. I checked into my flight and my bag was 5.7kg (way under the limit) the girl working (who was employed by this airport) proceeded to make me weigh my laptop, watch, wallet, phone, literally everything I had so she could get the weight above 7kg and force me to check a bag. She then proceeded to not sit me and my partner together even though we booked and checked in together. She sat us on opposite ends of the plane just to spit us, because she is a miserable, black hearted, witch. I highly advise flying in and out or any other airport in Vietnam to avoid this truly terrible employee. Attached is a picture of her so the airport knows who to fire if they want to stop scaring tourists away.

✅ Trip Verified | This is by far the worst airport. Three huge queues will insure that you will take at least 2+ hours just to get to your gate. Never before have I seen such inefficiency in an airport before. There is no air conditioning inside. If you are thirsty, you can buy water for $4.50. That is incredible price gouging since at a market in Vietnam you can buy 18 water bottles of the same size for that price. Where are the water fountains? Very dirty airport. Also the staff is rude, which doesn’t bother me. But traveling is really stressful for some people, and having rude workers can definitely make traveling more stressful for those people.

✅ Trip Verified | The airport is less than average. The domestic terminal is ancient, overcrowded and filthy. The international terminal is better, but under staffed and lacking diverse food and beverage options. The lounges are also sparse and subpar

✅ Trip Verified | It’s a shame to see custom officials very openly request bribes from Asian citizens, mostly Chinese. Everyone in our line could see what was happening as Chinese were first refused by custom officer, sometimes gave money directly to be refused by the officer and told to hide it in their passport … plenty of cameras but not checking officers, a clear sign this is organized at top level. A shame to give such an image to a country. Same applies on arrival. Never been bothered myself as westerner but seen this on every flight. Besides this the airport is bad bad bad. The lounges are a shame, only VN staff is upgrading the experience by being friendly. On most days you spend 30 min minimum at customs. The choice of food or drinks is limited and very expensive.

✅ Trip Verified | Entered Vietnam via SGN airport. Greeted by massive immigration queues - approximately 2 hours long. Absolute shambles. Travelled later domestically within Vietnam through SGN airport. SGN airport is old, dirty and outdated. Staff quite rude throughout, especially immigration and security. Long winded outdated check in processes plus outdated cumbersome security screening even for domestic flights. Visa application for Vietnam, also difficult and outdated. This airport and it staff, are a sad relic of an ancient world, that needs to rapidly modernise to bring it in line with both the rest of the country and the rest of the world. SGN airport experience in general, would make me think twice about coming to Vietnam again for a holiday

✅ Trip Verified | Sadly, this is one of the worst airports. Huge, long and unorganised immigration queue on both departure and arrival. Also seem the tour group got the priority, to jump the queue or have a special lane open for them while other passenger waiting up to 1 hr to get thru the immigration. After immigration then another long queue for security. We arrive 2 hours but barely make the boarding time. Adding on the aging computer system adding worse waiting and processing time. Ho Chi Minh is the central hub for both businesses and tourism. Need hugely improve to serve international tourists and business travelers.
