HKG-ICN-LAX Economy Class. Seats comfortable and good entertainment system ICN-LAX. However the
stewardess did not speak very good English and the airline did not cater to my Vegetarian
requirements. They should also tell passengers to stay in their own space as the passenger behind me
always kept on putting her foot on my arm rest. I would recommend this airline to people who are not
fussy about food and who don't mind people invading their personal space.

AKL-ICN-AMS round trip economy. I was lucky to have AVOD on the first leg from AKL to ICN. However,
normally you do not have that on this flight. The night in the Hyatt was very nice with a fantastic
breakfast. The second leg to Amsterdam was only half full, no passenger next to me, no AVOD though.
AMS-ICN I was lucky that my plane was 4 hours later then planned which brought my wait in Seoul back
to 2 hours. The downside was that they merged two planes. The plane came from Madrid and so this
flight was packed - children before me and behind me (never sit close to the big screen in the
middle behind the toilets), no AVOD, terrible flight. ICN-AKL plane was awful again, no AVOD and
packed. Service was average on all flights. I recommend everyone to take a laptop if possible to
kill time on these old planes. So overall, there were some very good things but also quite bad
things. I had been lucky with the first plane, connecting flight on the way back and half empty
plane on second plane.

SGN-ICN-DFW-IAH economy. A midnight departure waited a long time for check in because of computer
problem. A330 clean TV from ceiling, good service. Seoul transfer to a DFW flight on 777 new plane
with AVOD. Good Korean food.

Economy Round trip JFK to ICN, 747-400. Excellent service. The seat pitch was reasonable allowing
fairly good leg room. The personal AVOD was great with very recent movies. Also, in economy they
handed out an amenity kit with socks, toothbrush and eye mask. Flights both left on time with
arrival 30 minutes before scheduled time.

SYD-ICN-LHR with 7 hour layover in ICN. SYD-ICN older 772 with 2-5-2 seating and no AVOD. Good food
and excellent cabin service, however seats a little uncomfortable. ICN-LHR Full flight on newer 744
with AVOD. Excellent in-flight meals and service but seat pitch significantly less than on 772
aircraft.

ICN-NRT economy class. The plane was a very old B777, with the 2-5-2 configuration in economy that
must be loathed by passengers and crew on a full flight. IFE was very limited with drop-down screens
from the ceiling showing a mixture of moving maps, adverts for the SkyTeam alliance and a poor
Canadian variety show. On the up side, crew were friendly and helpful, the flight took off on time
and landed early and the bags were on the carousel when we got there.

JFK-SEL-PEK. Late night departure out of JFK, at this hour terminal is a ghost town. Nothing
opened, felt sorry for the pax in transit who had no concessions or dining options of any kind. 744
was comfortable in y class. AVOD equipped. Water bottle and amenity kit place on each seat. 2 full
meals served, constant drink runs. FA's were efficient and friendly with excellent English skills.
At 0430 arrival, in SEL little open in airport. However, transit lounge on 3rd floor very nice.
Complimentary computers with internet, lounge chairs, food bar, showers available (free, but a
minimal fee for shower pack), a great place to relax during sit time. SEL-PEK on 777 with a 2-5-2
configuration. Quick flight with a full hot meal service. FA's again friendly. KE is a
comfortable option for travel to northern Asia and great value.

NRT to Shanghai via ICN. NRT-ICN route always full but FA efficient in service. Seoul to Shanghai
routes both onward and return were not many passengers. Even only 1hr 20mins flight, light meal and
drink were served. Aircraft between Seoul and Shanghai was B777 with very wide seat-pitch even in
Economy class. I am Japanese but I always take Korean Air or Asiana for my trip because of their
great services than any of Japanese carriers.

Busan to Seoul Gimpo (intra-Korean flight) in Business Class. Check-in friendly and done in a very
short time. The lounge was old and only offered non-alcoholic drinks and a few cookies. There were
no computers and no English newspaper. During the flight only a plastic cup with a non-alcoholic
beverage was served - no snack. The positive aspect was the seat : this A330-300 had a three-class
layout and my wife and I were lucky to get a first class seat in the second row. So plenty of room
to relax.

Incheon - Singapore on 777-300 economy. Despite the lack of personal IFE on every seat and a full
flight, seat pitch provides a comfortable leg room that makes the trip stress free. Korean Air is
said to have extended the seat pitch to 35 inches only on 777-300 versions whereas other aircraft
have 33-34 inches. The service was courteous and the Korean Bibimbap was one of the tastiest dish I
ever had in aircraft.

JFK-ICN on B747-400, check-in at JFK always a nightmare for me with long queues but was fast this
time. B747-400 looks pretty smart with AVOD; food and service was excellent and Korean Air didnt let
me down this time. ICN-HKG on B747-400B, it was supposed to be the Combi but it seems changed due to
overflow in economy class - again impressed by inflight service although this 747-400 also not
fitted with AVOD.

Business class MEL-ICN-LHR/LHR-ICN-MEL. A good experience with Korean Air, for less than the price
of premium economy tickets with BA, Qantas or Virgin. Onboard service very good, plenty of drinks on
offer. Outward journey from MEL included the overnight stopover at Hyatt Incheon, which was very
good as well. Lounges at MEL & LHR are shared (Air New Zealand & American Airlines respectively).
We were both very satisfied with the trip & would happily travel long-haul with Korean Air again.

LAX to Seoul Economy class. On time, good leg room, comfortable seats, great inflight entertainment.
From Seoul to Beijing, good seat, good service for a 1 hour flight, the plane was A330.

Sydney-Seoul-London Heathrow / Istanbul-Seoul-Sydney, two adults and two children in economy.
Korean was efficient, friendly and comfortable. Our stopover in Seoul was excellent. For the price
there is no competition. We appreciated not having screens in the seats when flying overnight. Will
put Korean at the top of our list for our next flight.

Chicago to Seoul-Incheon to Manila. Flight attendants polite and smiling. They were prompt serving
food, beverages. The plane was a little older, but clean. The movie quality wasn't the best, but it
was an older plane. The flight provided water and juice quite a number of times, and when boarding,
there was already a small bottle of water at the seat.

Jakarta-Seoul-Jakarta in Y. As KE has no direct rival on this sector, the service on this sector is
very disappointing! Both legs on Airbus 333 that has NO PTVs, and seat pitch is very narrow, not
comfortable for an almost 7 hours flight. CGK-ICN was a night flight, so not even a single movie was
played on the main screen, only earphones were handed out, and the only IFE was the boring audio
music channels, that kept on playing the same list of songs over and over again. On the return
flight, they played 'The Bourne Ultimatum' movie - which has been released months before that
flight, so obviously many of us have watched it. The meals were great in quality, but poor in
quantity! The Korean dish is a must try though. FAs were efficient, but did not give anything
outstandinge. Snacks served after meal service which was nice, but they did not hand out water
bottles! There was one FA that speaks Indonesian fluently - nice because there are many Indonesian
on both flights. I was expecting something much, much more from an airline that has been awarded
Best Economy Class by Skytrax.

LAX-GRU on a new 777 on stand-by basis. Check-in was lazy due to TSA requirements. Waited 30 minutes
to check the bag and another 30 to pass gate security. Flight took off with a delay if 25 minutes.
Cabin crew and ground crew were polite and friendly. Standard food and a very good entertainment'
system.

Heathrow to ICN on new plane - IFE great. Crew polite and helpful. ICN to Sydney on older plane, a
bit shabby to be honest and IFE limited to a large and poorly visible screen - made the journey seem
so much longer. Again the staff were polite, food ok - being vegetarian I'm used to limited option
and varying qualities. Would fly with this airline again - my only complaint would be the stopover
on the return journey - it was like a one hour transfer from the airport!

Korean Air Prestige Class Bangkok - Atlanta via Seoul. B777 from Bangkok to Seoul Incheon and a
B747-400 to Atlanta. Check in at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi is painless; the terminal is packed but
never crowded or disorganized. The Prestige Class lounge is tucked away in a nondescript part of
Bangkok Airport and is not very appealing, with harsh lighting and equally harsh uninviting seating.
The wireless internet was not available that day. Prestige Class has a 2-3-2 lay-out, which is not
very appealing, especially on an overnight flight (imagine the middle passenger climbing over you to
go to the rest room). The seats on the B777 are not flat bed seats but old fashioned tilt seats.
Landing was uneventful, and we disembarked for our 4 hour lay-over. Korean Air Prestige lounge at
Incheon is very good but very crowded at peak hours. We managed to sign up for showers, and these
come with all amenities: no need to pack any toiletries. Food and beverages are plentiful, and
wireless internet is free. B744 on our flight to Atlanta - the upper deck seat proves to have a
unique set of electronic challenges. I started the IFE and soon discovered that sound and picture
was not synchronous. In fact, the channels seemed to change seemingly all by themselves. It took a
few minutes until I realized that when my neighbor used his remote he was actually changing my IFE.
And sure enough, with my remote I operated his. We called over the FA and soon the Purser came to
see the electronic cross wiring for himself. Resetting the system yielded no success, so he solved
the problem by moving my window seat neighbor to another seat and giving me the remote of the now
vacant seat next to me. B747 Prestige Class seats are angled lie-flat seats (similar to Air France
or Lufthansa). I find this very uncomfortable, and can only manage sleep on my side. Apart from the
angle , the Korean Air seats are hard as a plank. Ask for extra blankets to cushion the bed before
retiring. Korean Air Prestige Class lacks some of the pampering that other Asian carriers deliver.

ICN-LHR. Personal IFE, new planes, and great airport in Seoul. If hardware were good, software has
room for improvement. I had to help the otherwise very kind and attentive crew members with
communicating with foreign passengers. Colloquial English speakers are bound to run into trouble.
Always speak standard English. Also, the inflight meals are getting a bit boring now... and the non-
Korean alternatives are usually not very good. At least wine and spirits flow liberally.

SEA-ICN-BKK Y Class. From SEA the plane was a new 777-200 with a great personal IFE system that
worked well and had dozens and dozens of choices. Cabin crew friendly and personable. They were
present through the flight with drinks. Bibimbap was terrific and very tasty. Transfer at ICN with
another security check of carry-on luggage made for long lines. Otherwise ICN is a pleasant airport
with good lounges and ot of shopping and eating facilities. Flight to BKK on older 777 - no
personal IFE. Seats on this aircraft seemed to be a bit old although good legroom.

Seoul - Hong Kong in Business class (Prestige Class). I was originally booked with Cathay but due to
a delay on the Cathay flight and tight connection in HKG, was transferred to Korean Air. The flight
to Hong Kong was in an old Boeing 747-400 Combi with no first class seats and the old style business
seats with one large screen at the front of the cabin. I find it hard to believe that in the year
2008, we still have to put up with aircraft seats and cabins that belong in the 1990's. In terms of
the food, nothing at all to fault and the drink service was pleasant and regular. It is simply a
shame that Korean Air still has many of these aircraft flying with the old interiors (I recently
flew from Seoul to Brisbane also in the same old and tired configuration).

BNE-ICN-LHR. Check in easy, no hassles. First leg of the flight there were no delays. The flight
was full. No personal entertainment systems but the monitors were quite big and easy to see. Seating
a little bit squashed for my liking. Korean Air cabin crew very friendly and attentive but lack a
lot in English skills. There is a large language barrier there. Food quite nice for airline food but
little choice for the fussy eater and some of the food is quite spicy. Stopover night at Incheon,
hotel provided by Korean Air. Unfortunately, this is the part that confused me as cabin crew did not
instruct on how to get out to the Korean Air service desk. I more or less had to follow people and
hope for the best. A man saw me and motioned me to the desk and all seemed fine from there. Shuttled
by bus to the hotel across the road from the airport. Hotel staff friendly and the language barrier
was a little less than on the flight. Please be aware for the hotel you have to provide a cash
deposit or credit card number when checking in (this is for instances where passengers use the phone
or food in the hotel rooms). Excellent rooms. Next morning, shuttled to airport and had to find my
way to check in, which was again very confusing as you don't check in at all (you go straight
through security which is located right at the back of departures and is just a tiny doorway). This
leg of the flight (to London) was as uncomfortable as the first. Again, no personal entertainment
units and monitors were tiny. Flying into London there was a half hour delay due to weather. LHR-
ICN-BNE. This time there was more room on the leg for LHR-ICN and we had personal entertainment
units. Smooth ride but there was the language barrier with cabin crew. Easy 4 hour transit at
Incheon. ICN-BNE no personal entertainment units but the flight was practically empty so I got two
seats to myself. Overall, a good experience and decent service for the cheap price you pay. But it's
just that - you get what you pay for. I won't be flying with Korean Air again, simply due to the
length of the flight/overnight stop in Incheon and the large language barrier.

Two travels in three weeks from Rome to Seoul FCO-ICN-FCO, the first time in economy the second in
business class. Crew very kind and nice, food good, toilets clean. In general good service at the
airport and on the flight, the only problem is the old plane 747-400 - no personal IFE screen, old
seats, the main screen IFE was very old, especially in business class upstairs (an old 14" crt
display also threadbare). I think that the price is correct for the economy class About 1100€, but
three times (3300€) for business is not legitimate by the old aircraft.

Chicago(ORD) to Seoul-Incheon(ICN) round trip. Economy class seats were pretty comfortable with
enough leg room. Personal AVOD is wonderful. Service top notch. They serve wide variety of beverages
- even pretty good single malt whiskey like the Glenlivet for economy class passengers. Cabin crews
are friendly and ready to help you. Food quality was good. They serve two meals and the snack
between meals. Lavatory was clean, and I did not have any problem. There is an AC outlet under one
seat in each three seat section. Our family was seated on 33A/B/C, and AC outlet was under 33A. I
could use my laptop during the flight and my son could play his PSP throughout the flight.

5 February 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
LHR-ICN-SYD return Prestige Class, 747s on all legs. Those on LHR/ICN sectors had latest-generation,
Prestige Plus seats, those on ICN/SYD sectors had older Prestige seats. The 'Plus' seats had all the
gizmos - AVOD, etc - and recline to 170degrees; however, I found them less commodious than the older
seats, harder and with a rather thin seat cushion. I got a reasonable sleep on them, after a bit of
tossing and turning. The planes/cabins were clean and tidy. Food fine - an ample mixture of Korean
and Western dishes, nicely presented. Plenty of water and other drinks (including selection of
wines), served frequently and on demand. Staff service was superb - pleasant and most obliging.
English spoken to an adequate extent, albeit heavily accented and occasionally difficult to
understand on the PA system; person to person it was fine. Lounge facilities excellent, particularly
at Incheon. Mandatory overnight stopover at Incheon in return flight entailed complimentary stay at
Incheon's Hyatt Regency - very nice. All in all, this first experience for my wife and I with this
airline was quite excellent and I am happy to recommend them.

24 January 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
ICN-LAX-ICN, Business - a four star airline. Business seat with VOD, clean aircraft, but service
seemed a bit less short of Asiana. Three food choices given after takeoff - Korean air seems to not
change the food offerings. Managed to sleep throughout the flight though you need to jiggle with the
seat to get the right position for more comfortable position. LAX-ICN on new 772 and although
inflight service was alright, no priority pass and private luggage screening for business passengers
makes this airline indeed a four star. LAX Korean air lounge (SKYTEAM) is now open with pretty nice
selection of food and beverages.
