Hong Kong to Kunming economy class. A320, was okay. Crews helpful. However, the meal served was not
tasty. Few free drinks were offered. There wasn't any inflight entertainment system on board but it
is not really a issue since it's just an 2 hour flight

Hong Kong-Beijing return business. Both sectors operated with old aircraft but the business class
seats are roomy and comfy enough for a 3.5 hours flight. Although they have a daily special on their
menu, the catering on the way out was exactly the same as the flight a week ago to Shanghai which
was a bit boring. Cabin crew are as usual very Dragonair like. Friendly, efficient and not hiding
from passengers. Return was held for 1.5 hours in the aircraft due to runway congestion in Beijing
but the pilots and the cabin crew kept passengers informed every 20 minutes or so. They are doing a
promotion with ARIA (a restaurant) in Beijing which makes the menu quite interesting. Definitely
miles better than Air China on the same route and much more convenient than Cathay Pacific given
their more frequent flights.

HKG-PVG as part of a longer tripped booked thru Cathay Pacific.. Flight was on an aging A330. We
were impressed to find individual water bottles in the seats upon boarding. Flight attendants were
professional and very efficient. An edible lunch was served with ice cream for dessert. Flight was
on time and luggage made it, so all in all a nice flight.

PVG/HKG Economy class. KA reservation system was incapable of advance seat selection when you
booked your flight. Seat could only be assigned at airport check-in. Boarding for First, Business
and upper tier OneWorld members began at about 6:05PM with general boarding about 5 minutes later.
It was chaotic as KA did not board by row number. Plenty of newspapers were available on a cart at
the aeroplane door for passengers to help themselves. Assigned an aisle seat in the last section of
A330. The interior condition of the plane was good and clean. A 330ml bottle water and headset
placed in each seat pocket. Seat pitch was very tight and marginally adequate for the short flight.
Flight took off at about 7:50PM as rescheduled and arrived at HKG about 1h 20m late. It was a very
bumpy flight with the seat belt sign “on” almost the whole flight. A hot dinner was served shortly
after take off with a choice of beef or chicken - tasty and was of good portion. Drink offered at
the same time. FA did not come around later to offer the usual coffee or tea. Wine was available
on request free of charge. Meal tray removed promptly. IFE was big screen and there was no PTV.
Checked baggage delivery was very slow. I did not get my bag until about 45 minutes after stepping
off the aeroplane. All in all, a very mediocre flight and sub-standard ground service.

Economy HKG to Shanghai, checked in no problem, food good, arrived on time. Pudong (Shanghai) to
HKG, check-in was a nightmare, lining up in economy line with 1 hour left, then some lady shouts out
to move to another line, lined up, then the lady shouts that the opposite counter is also for that
flight, mad scramble everywhere, very disorganised.

Similar experience as Cherrie Hon: my confirmed business class seat on the KA 820 on the 2nd of
April was overbooked and I was put on a later Air China flight. No explanation or apologies. I
traveled together with a colleague so being on the same plane important as pick up and meetings
panned. I was told the plane was fully booked. I did surely not meet the competent, friendly staff
Tom Hill is talking about. Staff completely indifferent to my issue: took me a lot of time, efforts
and frustration to get a seat in economy class (to find out that plane was absolutely not fully
booked, only business class was). I reported this incident though the website of Dragon air but
Dragon Air does not bother answering so far.

Hong Kong to Shanghai in business class on A330. The seats were the old style C class seats but were
very comfortable and ample leg room for this short flight - not sure I would want to use them on
some of the longer sectors the Dragonair fly. The cabin was clean but well worn. The food service
was adequate and there was a daily special option as well which seemed to be the best choice but
only if you liked fish. The crew provided a good service but was lacking in smiles which is unusual
for an Asian crew. Dragonair lounge at Hong Kong is large and kept spotlessly clean by the staff it
has a good selection of hot and cold snacks, the drinks selection was also good. Being one of the
larger carriers operating out of Hong Kong the lounge is, as you would expect, a very busy place.
Would certainly use them again. Are they as good as Cathay Pacific, no but then there fairs are a
cheaper so for the money they a probably the best option on this route.

Dragonair is the best airline in China, with competent, friendly staff and spotless, comfortable
equipment. We travel from Chengdu to the USA yearly, sometimes more often, and Dragon Air/Cathay is
always our first choice.

I booked flight KA622 on 14th Feb from Hong Kong to HangZhou (19:55) to attend a company meeting on
Friday 15th Feb. When I arrived HKIA on 14th Feb (around 18:50), I was told that the flight was
overbooked, and I could not check-in. This is ridiculous and the explanations are unacceptable.
Overbooking is not my problem. If Dragonair does not have enough passenger carrying capacity, please
do not confirm my booking. Somebody in Dragonair mistakenly took away my seat for another passenger.
This was confirmed by their staff. Well, this is Dragonair's mistake, not the passenger's mistake,
and I'm the one who suffered because Dragonair only wants to maximize its profit without considering
passenger's feeling. They also said that higher check-in priority is given to members, because I am
not a member, my seat was released by somebody. This is a discrimination. Who cares what their
priority system is about? I paid for my ticket, and they confirmed my booking, therefore
Dragonair is obligated to deliver. I requested full refund of my ticket. However,
they basically told me full refund is not guaranteed and need to be requested. I felt like being
robbed by Dragonair. They offered me an alternative to take another later flight to
Shanghai, and arrange local transportation from Shanghai to HangZhou. By the time I arrived Hangzhou
it would be after 4 am in the morning (15th Feb). This is unacceptable. I am very surprised about
the poor customer service and crisis handling skills of Dragonair.

HKG-Xian-HKG economy class. Flights were full both ways (on Airbus 320), but service was very good,
and food was excellent. Friendly and efficient staff, clean planes made this trip a pleasant one.
Highly recommended.

Phuket to Hong Kong in Y Class. Boarding in Phuket smooth. Airbus 320 which was only 60% full. Food
and bar-service done after take-off. The crew of six were helpful and polite. Service was very good,
food quality and quantity perfect for a 3,5 hour flight. Crew came by with water and juice and full
bar service on request was offered. Seating with lots of legroom compared to europaen airlines.
Flight landed on time in Hong Kong. No IFE on an Airbus 320, but for the short flight no problem.

HKG to HKT in Y-Class. A320 less than half full and service outstanding. Choice of 2 hot meals
(pasta or chinese food) after a bar service. Newspapers offered. There was no entertainment but no
problem. Crew served drinks on request and came by with water and juice. I can recommend Dragonair.

PEK-HKG Economy Class. Although the flight was full and overbooked, the crew was very professional,
cheerful, and efficient. The meal was good and they even gave you some seafood (2 pieces of shrimp)
in a pork fried rice. Some fine details were included in Economy such as giving you slices of lemon
along with a cup of hot tea. When drinks were presented to passengers, the FA would place the cups on
a tray then hand over to you instead of just dropping a cup in your hand. Also, a variety of
newspapers were presented on a cart at the entrance gate for passengers to select from. The quality
of service was consistent in the other KA flight (HKG-PVG) that I travelled on. All the fine details
of the products as well as the professional service of the crew make Dragonair a great airline!

Economy from Xi'an to Hong Kong. Overall, a good flight, but the food was disappointing, and, Xi'an
is not a good airport for international departures. You have to wait until about an hour before
departure before you can even check-in.

HKG-Shanghai Pu-Dong and Beijing-Hong Kong Business Class recently. Absolutely superb airline. Duck
blue quality table cloths and good quality cutlery, crockery, wine and food. Superb service, good on-
time performance and professional crew made these memorable flights. Dragonair is a world class
airline of the highest standard. I only wish they came to Australia as well.

Shanghai-HKG-Shanghai Economy. Very good, and in my opinion better than
CX in terms of food and service. On the way back all the Chinese
airlines flights out of HKG appeared to have been cancelled - but not
Dragonair. This is the only airline to fly PVG-HKG on - if you can bear
to pay the Dragonair Premium. I enjoyed the sardonic commentary from the
captain relating to the inevitable delay out of Shanghai and I wish
other airline's pilots would go back to the days of talking more to the
passengers. If Dragonair did long haul I would have no hesitation in
flying with them. Another boiling hot cabin. What's with airlines these
days and the hot cabins?

HKG-Beijing-HKG in Y. Flight not full so I had a spare seat on A330.
Food was mediocre, service though was excellent. Nice touch is the
bottle of water in every seat back. No individual IFE, movie was shown
on flip-down screen. Headphones provided were among the worst I have
used. In all, the service was better than Cathay, planes I flew on a bit
cleaner and more cheerful interior. Cabin crew must be the prettiest in
Asia!

Hong-Kong- Qindao. Business Class. Flight Attendants very professional.
Mumms Champagne served along with French Whites and Aussie Red. Meals
are nothing spectacular but for a three hour flight you would not ask
for much more. Overall Dragonair is basically a mini Cathay with the
same service.

Taipei to Hong Kong in Business class. Cabin crew are nice and very
professional. Champagne prior to take off and full meal.
The meal - my advice don't ever decide on the beef brisket. This was one
tiny piece of beef held together with the fat of an entire cow and
disguised with a very nice sauce. The crew member asked how I was
enjoying it and I had to be honest but she assured me it was not fat but
sinew ? Anyway she offered to serve me the other main dish which was
fish. I declined, however this was an excellent flight and some very
professional crew.
