CSA Czech Airlines review by Tim Powell

MAD-PRG-MAD. On type departure and a warm breakfast, hot and cold drinks
and pleasant cabin crew. They spoiled the overall impression on the way
back last night, with the late arrival of the inbound airplane, due to
leave PRG at 1955. No announcements made until the scheduled departure
time and no staff at the gate. Then it was announced the flight would
leave at 2040. We left at 2110 with the captain putting the blame on
heavy congestion at Madrid for our arrival, this despite the obvious
fact the inbound aircraft had not arrived at the gate until after its
scheduled departure time. The service on the flight was good. Czech
Airlines, like its two-letter airline code is OK, but could do better.

Moscow SVO to Prague. Clean and crisp flight crew smiling. Plane
comfortable but a bit more leg room could be appreciated. Nice airshow,
candid camera and then programme from CSA destinations. Plenty of food,
sweets, coffee, tea and 3 rounds of drinks with a variety of alcohol
served. Landing on time. Prague airport more than airy and comfortable
to get through. Czech airlines managed to keep standards high and it
will be better by acquiring new A320s and the upgrade of the longhaul of
their A310s and A330s.

Business class from Newark to Sofia - connecting in Prague. The check
in process from the US was up to standards and they included a pass to
the Virgin Atlantic lounge in Newark. The only issue with that lounge
is that it is outside of security. The staff friendly and the service
was attentive. The food is excellent - the wines were very good - they
did as well as any airline wining and dining the business-class
passengers. The Czech Airlines seat is sub-par for a business class
seat. They are too close, mechanical and not electronic, they don't
recline as far as a business class seat should. There is no built in
video unit. One can watch the movie on the mainscreen or use a hand-
held unit. The picture on the hand-held unit is miniscule and I could
not hear the sound. On the return trip, my entertainment jack (on the
seat) only worked in 1 ear. The business-class restrooms were clean and
had nice amenities. The check in procedure from Prague and from Sofia
was terrible. Crystal Lounge in Prague is very nice - food and alcohol
plentiful, seats comfortable, and a view of the airport. In Prague and
Sofia no priority given for business class boarding. It was a free for
all. I give the staff, food, restrooms, friendliness, blankets, lounges
and US checkin 4 stars -- I give the seats, entertainment, foreign check
in 2 stars. So 3 stars is about right. If only they replaced the
business-class seats!

LHR-PRG return. Nothing but praise for the crew on these flights -
seemed pleasant, plenty of smiles with efficient service. Handled the 1
hour delay at Heathrow very well. PRG bit a drag, only one luggage belt
working for 3 flights, but this was nothing compared to the usual bun
fight of arrivals and baggage reclaim at LHR Term 2, the former an
exercise in making a queue walk round and round as many times as
possible, the latter a dark, chaotic dump. What a good impression it
must give to visitors!

PRG-JFK business class. The seat doesn’t provide fully reclined seats,
but service excellent. Pre-departure drinks included water, orange
juice and Czech sparkling wine. Lunch included aperitif, warm roasted
nuts, soup, starter, three choices of main course, cheese and deserts.
During the flight, crew came around with ice cream and more deserts.
Before landing, warm or cold meals were served, again of a high quality.

YUL-PRG-YUL (March 2006). Overall check-in, in-flight entertainment, food
and service was satisfactory. Problems started 1-hour prior to landing.
There was a snow storm in Prague and they closed the airport. Finally
landed in Ostrava. Stayed inside plane for at least 90 minutes, then got
transferred in airport in transit area, which was too small for the
amount of passengers (other CSA flights landed there as well) Very
little information (or should I say NONE!) given to passengers and no
reps to assist anyone. Waited over 4 hours until we had to go through
customs and hop in a bus for a 5+ hour ride. Nothing from CSA other than
small lunch (sandwich, chocolate bar and pop/water bottle) at around
noon. Was supposed to land at 6AM, got to Prague airport (via bus) at
6:30PM. The return flight to Montreal was very nice - ived over an hour
early, great service on plane. Undecided if I'll ever fly with them again.

Cairo-Prague-Heathrow flight. Arrived at check- in in plenty of time to
be told plane was 'overbooked'. Had to wait 6 hours standing in airport
(along with about 20 other people in same situation). Eventually was
found a flight to Heathrow via 3 hour stopover in Paris. (Therefore did
not get to Prague at all). Was given 200 US dollars compensation on the
spot in Cairo (I don't consider this enough considering the trouble
caused). Will not use this airline again.

Stansted Prague 3rd April. No one else at check in so very fast. Incoming flight late but time
nearly made up by the time we arrived. Attendants friendly, fast and polite. Snack was simple but
good quality and the economy legroom seemed very good compared with the budget airline competition
- funny really as we paid considerably less for the CSA flights than easyjet were offering for the
same day. I know it was a simple "sit down and get there" journey with no frills but good service
and legroom can make a lot difference even when you're only on a less than 2 hour flight.

BRU-PRG-BRU. Both flights rather uneventful on old planes. boarding and
flight crew rather tired and looked stressed, which did'nt matter much
as the flights took just about 1hour 15 mins. A nice way to get to
Prague from Brussels for a relatively low price. Prague airport nice and
clean, new terminal open, the ground staff rather nice and helpful. Very
good value for price!

Check in was efficient at LHR and PRG. Planes were old but clean. FA's

LHR-PRG. Outbound flight 30 mins early into Prague, and on time back
into London. Plenty of leg room, food quite good and the service
friendly and helpful, but they need to update their fleet as the 737
used on both legs were a bit old. Overall the impression was very
positive, and their prices were by far the cheapest (even cheaper than
the budget airline Easyjet) I liked it so much I joined their loyalty
scheme and will fly with them whenever possible in the future.

BHX-PRG-SVO, and return St Petersburg - Prague - Birmingham. 737's
slightly worn but ok. Food and service on all legs was good
(particularly so given inclusive return price of £220) - only problem
was punctuality with 3 of the 4 flights late by 30 mins or more. If
time is not of the essence, I would happily recommend.

PRG-LHR one way in economy, scheduled 12:30. CSA allow you to phone
check-in in Prague with cabin luggage only on EU flights or anywhere
when in business class. Departure announced to be 15 mins delayed due to
"operational reasons", take-off delayed accordingly. B735 a bit worn
plane, but well maintained. Free Czech and English papers available.
Provided free cold meal - couscous, ham, cheese, green pepper slice, two
rolls, butter, two small pieces of pudding deserts - tasty for me, but
many pax did not eat much. Free drinks round - free soft, wine, beer,
later tea / coffee. Crew effective and polite. Inflight magazine fresh
and interesting. Landed at LHR some 15 mins ahead schedule, directed to
T2. Very relaxing and comfortable short haul.

Dubai-Prague-Bratislava return. The flight from Dubai to Prague was
delayed. The cabin crew seemed tired and not very motivated. I was very
surprised that a passenger sleeping on the floor in front of the
emergency exit was passed by unnoticed during the entire night flight,
which made me feel like I was travelling on a low-cost bus service.
Seats very uncomfortable and restrictive. The second service practically
served into your hands - no trays, which I found very surprising, as I
have always considered CSA one of the airlines delivering a rather good
quality product. The long-haul flights obviously are not their strong
point. Short haul European routes, on the other hand, are quite a
pleasant experience and I would recommend CSA on these to anyone who is
looking for a " value for money" trip. All in all, for my next trip from
the UAE I will most look for another option, even though my sympathy for
CSA remains unchanged on the European routes.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Prague and used the
services of CSA from Edinburgh primarily due to the more convenient
flight times compared to Globespan. Whilst dissappointed that CSA have
recently cancelled the flight from Glasgow; being moved to Edinburgh was
not overly inconvenient and we were rewarded with one of the more
pleasurable flying experiences of late. The planes are modern and clean
and the flight crew friendly and attentive. The legroom was the best
we've ever experienced with a good 4 inches of extra room in front of my
knees. The food as good as BA and all round I would rate my experiences
of CSA better than BA. A great airline flying to a modern airport and a
really really great city-what better formula.

Just returned from Eastern Europe where I took a CSA flight from Prague
to Warsaw and couldn't have been more pleased with the service of the on
ground and in air personnel. They were quite helpful in checking
luggage from Prague to Chicago even though we were transferring to LOT
on an e ticket and were using paper tickets with CSA. Flight was on
time and I would not hesitate to use this line again.

We flew from Edinburgh to Prague on the afternoon of 26 August 2005, and it was the
'Flight From Hell'! A group of around 15 drunken females, en-route to a 'hen night' in Prague,
shouted at each other using foul language for the entire duration of the flight. They quite openly passed
around a bottle of vodka - to which the cabin crew simply turned a blind eye. In fact the cabin crew were quite happy to supply them with more free alcohol
from the drinks trolley!! Quite a lot of the passengers commented to the cabin crew on leaving the
plane that it was the worst flight they had ever had to endure. We felt the same way and we will have to think
long and hard before using CSA again. I did intend to make an official complaint to the company,
but I see another post on this forum indicating that they never reply to correspondence, so it's probably not worth the
effort.

I have flown CSA on about 60 round trips mostly to Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine and
Norway during the last three years. in short, I have never experienced more delays
(greater than 30 minutes) and flight cancellations on any other carrier. While their
cabin crews are generally very friendly and on-board food and drinks are (still)
above average, their gate staff and station managers are usually disinterested, and
often rude and impolite. Do not expect an announcement if your flight is delayed, or
for how long! Moreover, written complaints have never been answered by CSA.

PRG-ZRH-PRG in economy. Outbound flight on a aged but well maintained B735. Occupancy 50%, therefore
easy and chance for seat choice Departure just in time, attentive FA´s, czech, german and english
press available. No cockpit information. Offered breakfast (snack) box with small cheese/ham roll
and yoghurt (but exploding a bit after pulling the cover away), plus cereal stick, one soft drink
(wine on request) round - flight duration 1 hour. Fast and effective servise, messages in czech,
english and german language. Return flight also in time, snack box similar but a chocolate bar instead
of yoghurt inside. Kids were gifted by some puzzle. Nice FA on this flight, also some cockpit
information about route and connections provided. However, as usual, the FA´s safety instructions
spoken in english are told in speed level that sometimes even natives hardly understand. And
sometimes, messages are told even during start which is absolutely not possible to catch (volume
button??). All in all, nice and relaxing experience and good service even for such short flights.

Had a denied boarding on business class with Czech Airlines on the 25.3.2005 on the flight from
Zurich to Prague. At least 7 other passengers were denied boarding as well. The local
representative would refuse to show up and help the stranded passengers. We had to make our own
arrangements to fly out of Zurich again which is not easy considering that this was the easter
weekend. Fighting since then to get any compensation as per EU law and refund for the tickets.
Being a frequent traveller myself I have never experienced a similar ignorance by any other
airline.

KSC-PRG-KSC. in economy class. Really impressed by the airline. First leg was operated by 737-500.
Aircraft was clean but showing its age. We were greeted by friendly F/A´s. Flight took 50 minutes.
For this short trip , decent snack was served , a cheese or ham roll , (I chose cheese) , tasty
small cake , tic-tac and beverages. Quality and especially quantity were extremely good for this
short flight. Second leg was operated by ageing ATR72-200. Aircraft was again clean but wery noisy.
I wasn´t able to hear what F/A´s were speaking through PA system. Again the same snack , but I chose
ham roll instead of cheese one. Both quality and quantity again very good for such a short flight.

CSA from FCO-PRG. I was pleasantly surprised by this airline's warmth and graciousness. It
seems that they really do want to improve the Skyteam alliance. Check in was done by Alitalia agent
who which rude, inept and totally incompteent which has been my experience with that second rate
airline on numerous occasions. On board CSA aircraft, was greeted by friendly purser at the door and
helped to my seat by the equally nice crew. Captain spoke perfect English and gave description of
route to Prague and said we would arrive about 10 min early. Meal was decent for a 2 hour flight
with cold cuts salad and a delicious cannoli, all served by kind and smiling crew of 3. Overall I
would definitely use this airline again, as long as they dont follow the likes of other members of
their alliance.

MAN-PRG-KRK and return in Business Class.
Very impressed with Czech as it was my first flight with them.
Boarding at MAN was incredibly efficient.
MAN-PRG flight was 737-500. For some reason not my favorite plane. Flight was full.
Really good service and meal. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for the crew. Hot
towels and
welcome drink also offered. Transfer at PRG was uneventful. I liked the airport. Club lounge was very good, with all manners of
drink available plus good snacks. Connect to KRK on an ATR42. Flight time was about 1 hour and there was a seperate Business class
section. Only downside was space. Good cold meat/cheese service and drinks service.
Return flights were much the same. Great service and a wonderful meal PRG-MAN. Choice of entree.
I would not hesitate to fly Czech again. Very impressed.

I fly economy and haven't had the chance to upgrade (silver card holder - UPGD for free and no miles
deduction) since I had my bonus ticket. Flew economy, seats okay, 3,5 hr flight comfortable and the
crew this time eager to please. Edible food (chicken/ or tortellini). Looking forward to use the
airline again and experience their new A320s that are being delivered soon (2 already delivered)
The only shame is that Czech airlines has no Business class counter to check in at Cairo. Its the
Egyptair business class counter and checking in there depends on the mood of the staff (Egyptair).

I have been a frequent flyer with Czech Airlines for the last 12 years in both
business and
economy class. On my recent trip from Prague to London Heathrow, I had to unexpectedly change my
departure from
Sunday evening (Sunday flights are always overbooked) to Saturday evening (half empty plane).
Being a Gold Card member with OK PLUS for several years, frequent flyer for many years, I was told in
order to change my departure date, I would have to pay over £73.00 on top of a bit expensive
ticket. On my return I have contacted CSA office in London and was told that CSA does not recognise frequent
travelers and would not refund this charge.

GLA-PRG-EDI on business class with Czech Airlines.
Check in at Glasgow was particularly smooth as there was no queue at the business class check-in.
Thereafter made my way to the Servisair Lounge (you need to ask at check-in for an invitation as I
wasn't offered one). The lounge was pretty standard with the usual selection of drinks and paucity of snacks.
On board, seating in business was 2x2 on a 737. A pre-take off drink was offered. About 15 minutes
into the flight menu cards were handed out (rare on European flights these days) offering three
courses including a choice of entree.
A linen table cover was placed on the tray before the meal was served. Unfortunately plastic cutlery
as usual. There was a choice of two red and two white wines in addition to sparkling.
The cabin crew were particularly attentive, though there were only two of us in business class to
keep them occupied.
On the return to Edinburgh from Prague the service was much as on the outward leg though on this
occasion we were an hour and a half late in taking off due to the late arrival of the inbound
aircraft.

PRG-AMS on the 7 AM departure. Because I am so tall and I
arrived early enough I was assigned to an emergency row with plenty of leg room. In flight service
was great as usual, including the breakfast. The gate check in and boarding process were both
disasters as usual. First it's the usual argument about the size of the carry on, the
re-measuring
of the bag, the aggravation of it all and then the eventual "ok you can carry it on." Then comes the
cattle call that CSA refers to as the boarding process. Why can't they do it by rows like most
everyone else, that surely would cut down on the kicking, biting and shoving. I have flown CSA many
times between AMS-PRG and CDG-PRG.

ZRH-PRG-ZRH in Economy class.
A warm and friendly welcome, smiling flight attendants standing throughout the cabin, helpful to

Announcements in Czech, English, German and French, a small sandwich and a drink on a 55 minutes
flight. The return flight with same performance.

LHR to Kiev via Prague return. This was my first time flying with CSA and not be
my last. The ticket was booked at relatively short notice and at £277 including
taxes was cheaper than BA or Ukraine International for the same itinerary. All
four sectors were operated by B737-400 which were clean and tidy. It was nice to
see that CSA still offers a good Y class service. On all four sectors there was
some kind of cold meal. Free cold drinks and tea or coffee. I had ordered Kosher
meals and was pleasantly surprised to find that despite it being my first time
with the carrier, I received the Kosher meal on all four flights. Compare this
to some much larger carriers who despite my gold card status and profile
information on their systems for many years still forget my special meals.
Service was excellent on all flights. Nothing was too much trouble for FA's.
Requests for second rounds of drinks or tea or coffee met with a smile.

Prague-Oslo. Never had a worse experience before. Before boarding, all hand luggage had to be
measured before entering airplane. People were not allowed aboard with their bags if they did not
match. Why did they not do this at check in? Checking in bags etc that did not fit was not an
option. Personnel just responded "thats not my problem!". Made a complaint about this via email but
did never get an answer! Have been flying quite a bit but never experienced this!

London Heathrow to Prague on 27th December. I was pleasantly surprised by the on-board
service. It was a full flight and, yes, the seat was a bit tight, but the on-board service was
good. The FA's were really pleasant, friendly and helpful - smiles not in short supply.
I expected to be served just a sandwich, but they served a proper cold meal. For
a two-hour flight, this was really good. Had a similarly positive experience on the return flight.

JFK-PRG : Flight left a little late due to chaotic boarding process. I was in the last row in a non
reclining seat. This was not so good. Upon boarding, you get headphones, a bottle of
water, free toothbrush and
slippers/eye covers. The staff were friendly. Had about 9 channels of audio and 2
movies. One movie was American and one was old Czech 80's movie. Between movies they played old
communist era comedy programs. Meals were great - Alcohol was free on the flight. Breakfast was served about an hour before arrival. Drinks cart
passed several times during flight. PRG-BTS : Whats funny about this plane
and airline is that they have business class on a prop. Its also in the
back so maybe its the last first class? This is because this plane is boarded from the rear.
Flight staff was nice and trilingual. All announcements in Czech/Eng/Ger. We got small ham or
cheese sandwiches and a cookie. A nice flight, was a bit loud cause I was near the engine. Vibrations were
massaging though. BTS-PRG : Was a very cold morning for this 0530 departure. Plane was nice and warm inside. Once again
served a sandwich and coffee.
PRG-CDG : This was a great flight with comfortable seats. The one carry on rule was
strictly enforced. This time we got breakfast. Eggs,
sausages, and three types of rolls. A little salad and coffee. I was not so impressed by the very small restroom.
Had to
connect to the dreaded Delta flight to ATL.

Zurich-Prague in business class. The lounge in Zurich is a bit old and filled only with
snacks and basic wines and liquors, however the assistant was extremely helpful and took care of
everybody on an individual basis. The flight was on time and very pleasant. The plane was not cleaned properly. No menus handed out
(only a 1hour and 15 minutes flight) and cold snacks with aperitifs, wines and beers served.
Attendants very friendly, but no usage of sir or madam. Also, no walk through the cabin after
serving the meal and asking for anything else. In general, a pleasant and good flight in European
business class cabin.

Flew OK to Prague out of London Stansted, back through Heathrow. Reading earlier comments, I think
CSA have downgraded their economy meal service recently - flew out on a 18.25 flight, and had a cold
dish of bread roll with slices of ham, cheese plus some coleslaw type salad. Same on the return,
which was a lunchtime flight. Still, in an age of ever-lowered expectations in European flights,
it's probably to be expected but not congratulated. Service decent, flight back they forgot to load
ice for drinks - warm cokes and juice all round!

EDI-PRG-EDI : Economy.
Just a swift midweek break but with direct flights, it had to be done. Very swift loading at EDI and
push back ahead of schedule. The FA's appeared disinterested but in fact were keen to get on with the
flight. Very good food, wine and beer on offer and arrived ahead of time.
The return flight was subject to a few delays, outside the airlines control. The standards were very
good and the flight pleasant. I would certainly use them again should they have the right routes.

I flew with Czech Airlines from Dublin - Prague return in June 2004 and was amazed at their standard
- I had heard before they had an ageing fleet. The airplane was extremely comfortable
and the air hostesses were very friendly. It reminded me of the safe comforting feeling I get when I

helping. Prague airport was surprisingly spotless and I would recommend Czech Airlines

ZRH-PRG-TLL-PRG-ZRH, Economy.
On all legs OK was using its Boeing 737-500. Seat configuration a little different between the
planes. Very good pitch. Back maybe a little hard. Nice meal services (sandwich during ZRH-PRG; hot
lunch during PRG-TLL). Very friendly and professional staff. As Sky Team Elite Plus member using Air
France lounge in Zurich: quiet and helpful staff. The new OK lounge (Mai 2004) in Prague is simply
great! Super design, spacious, excellent food and drink selection. OV lounge in TLL in Scandinavian
design and small. All together an utmost pleasant experience. OK is one of the best airlines in
Europe and challenges all major carriers. A pity that the connecting
possibilities to ZRH are for
many destinations not optimal, if not I would fly OK much more often. Actually better than many 4
star airlines. A 4 star experience for me.

Our blind daughter and her guide dog flew with CSA from Prague to Montreal and it was a flight from
hell. Local CSA management cancelled her pre-arranged extra seating room (for the dog) and placed her
in the last seat of the aircraft (reserved for pets). The guide dog was unable to fit in between the
seats in this part of the aircraft. Although there were free seats in business class, cabin staff
refused to let me, her father, pay for an upgrade as, "We don't want the dog to disturb premium
paying customers."

Frankfurt-Prague-Frankfurt in April/May 2004 on CSA/Economy; quite impressed with this airline,
nice, efficient staff, fast check-in, very fast baggage belt in Prague airport.
Service on
board nice, food on this short flight only sandwich, drink (Czech white wine from Moravia is quite
fine, by the way) and cookie, but it's okay for the short-haul. Both flights (737-400 and 737-500) on
time - flight back to Frankfurt even 10 minutes too early in Frankfurt. Seats in Economy Class on 737
lack (as almost everywhere in Economy Class) legroom space - especially in the middle seat due to a
quite strange construction of the table holder at the back of the front seat.

Prague from Dubai in Y class and was left with a favourable impression of the airline.
Not quite up to western European standards yet, but doing a good job. Outbound to Prague, the staff
were particularly efficient. Drinks were served promptly after take-off and lunch soon after that.
The headphones leave something to be desired; one can barely hear the movie soundtrack. Departures
and arrivals all on time. The food in Y class was fairly dismal, but I expect little from food in
this class. Cabin crew back to Dubai were not quite as efficient as their counterparts flying to
Prague but all in all, I would fly OK again for a quick, cheap flight to Europe.

1 December 2003
I have flown CSA every two to three weeks between Brussels and Prague and/or Sofia for almost two
years now. I have praise for long their efficient and smiling on-board service, decent food and
well-respected time schedule, and would agree that Prague hub is really nice (except a poor Sky
team lounge and not-so-clean toilets). However, I have been disappointed to see quite a drop in the
quality service for the past 2-3 months. Like many airlines in Europe now, CSA has just opted for
the ugly plastic bag sandwich ("à la mode" Lufthansa) which seems to have made the staff -
perhaps ashamed - to adopt a bored attitude with passengers. I am also under the impression
the choice and variety of newspapers has been reduced.
Check-in (and this is not new), can be a hassle if you travel at a busy period of the day.
Only two desks open in Brussels (with staff totally ignorant of the Sky Team privileges if you have
the card of another airline), which guarantees long queue and late take-off on a Friday evening. In
Prague, the situation is worse for the early planes on Monday, overpacked. CSA
chooses to check-in
all flights at the same desks, with an insufficient staff (even in business: only two desks). There
is no separate check-in in Prague airport for passengers without luggage. Be there at 5.30 am if
you want to be sure to get onboard a plane at 7.00 am, and be patient.
FYI, if you have a Sky team card from another partner airline, be informed that the CSA card
holders get a "permanent promotion" (from 01.01 to 31.12, sic !) doubling their miles and are
offered Business class upgrading on a systematic basis, from Silver and Gold level. This is not
offered if you travel with the card of another Sky Team airline.

CDG-PRG and back.
AF handling at CDG is crazy, but once you are onboard CSA plane you are fine.
Ended up with a middle seat which is uncomfortable, but their seats are better than on other
airlines and definitely more legroom.
Crews were great, smiling, outgoing, and spoke fluent English. They spoke no French which I have to
assume ticked off the French passengers.
They served a small meal and my first silverware in 2 years. How I miss having the real thing. Their
hub at Prague is fantastic. Great terminal and well organized. The agent there even criticized Air
France in Paris and apologized for our problems on our departure but that Air France controls
everything. Flight back had 3 seats to myself and was very comfortable. I will fly CSA again, but I
will try to avoid via Paris, if possible.

I can not complain about the quality and service of CSA. I am flying regularly each month and had no
major problems during last four years. With growing number of connections and new airport building
in Prague, CSA becomes one of the best European airlines. Had opportunity to fly with other airlines
- BA, Alitalia, Lufthansa, but CSA is always winner in this competition.

Stansted to Prague economy, return Prague to Heathrow a week later in August
2003. Good deal through a major online travel agent.
Stansted check in chaotic, long queue, slow moving. Did not open check-in until 90mins before
flight, so those of us who struggled to get up 5am for 9am flight rather miffed as we could have
caught later train. Flight left 10 mins late, after 40 mins served tiny sandwich, not enough for a 9am flight
where breakfast expected. Cabin pleasant, standard Boeing, good seat, good legroom. Not impressed, next time a Budget airline would do just as well.

I am a frequent flyer with Czech Airlines on a route from Montreal to Prague. The service was always
excellent. The personnel is young, always in a good mood, smiling and very efficient. The food and
free drinks were incredible - especially the Pilsen Beer. I recommended your airline to all of
those, tired from the non-existent service on other North American airlines and their poor food
quality. You see, it is not just "flat beds" which attract passengers, but
excellent food and drinks.

Mr
Kerr's opinion sums up what I say about CSA service. I've flown them
from Vilnius via PRG to Toronto and it was my worst flight
ever.
First step was about 1h40, but no dish was served, just refreshment. Seats are narrow, and ATR's
terribly noisy. The second sector was hell - our delay was about 5 hours, and I lost my
connecting flight to Ottawa.

If CSA wants to seriously compete with the other European carriers it has a
lot of work to do. My partner and I few with them economy class Prague - Munich. Arrived an hour before
check in to find
a queue 30 minutes long. Once we finally arrived at the desk I was told that
check in was closed. We were told to wait for an 'announcement' which never came.
After 30
minutes and ear-bashing the ticketing staff I was told the flight was overbooked
- and the flight was delayed. Grudgingly we were checked into Business class.
Boarding was an hour late. Onboard, the 'business class' service was nothing short of indifferent. I
pity the passengers
who actually paid for the business class cabin! Seating was cramped and really no better than
economy. In short the experience was awful, and at no time was there ever any
apology from the airline for
any of the delays.
