Edinburgh-CDG-Santiago in economy. RJ85 from EDI to Paris, not the most spacious aircraft, but a
short flight, with small meal and drinks served. Transfer in CDG to a deserted terminal designed as
a shopping mall for the super rich, cigar shops, spas, but nowhere to get a simple bite to eat.
CDG-Santiago on 777-200 in economy. Dinner served, managed to sleep 8 hours in comfortable seat,
with plenty of space. AVOD, but not a huge choice. Breakfast served before landing, with a self
service sandwich/ice cream/drinks selection available throughout the journey. Staff fairly attentive
and friendly.

MAD-CDG-MAD Tempo. Early morning departure from Madrid. Check-in Service representative encouraging
and helping passengers to use the new e-counter. A320 plane impeccable, catering very basic. No
orange juice which I find unacceptable at breakfast time. Check in for return in CDG with new e-
counters and attentive Customer Service reps. A318 oldish and with the strangest three-class
configuration I've seen on such a short flight. At least AF tries to keep passengers happy on this
route with a free tiny bag of crackers and selection of beverages on a very short flight. Crew on
both legs amongst the friendliest I've had.

I have booked my mother between PUF-LYS-ZRH and requested a wheelchair. She was taken care on every
flight very well and the assistance on every destination were helpful. For passport control, luggage
and transfer they looked after her perfectly. Thank you very much Air France for this service.

CDG-MAD Tempo Class. Checked-in using self check-in terminals. Boarding procedures worked smoothly.
Plane was quite old, clean and enough space in economy class. Dinner was served, no IFE and flight
was time. As to me the major plus for Air France is the crew which are friendly and professional.

YYZ-CDG-YYZ in Business Class. I was surprised to read that Air France is a "4 Star" Airline. I feel
that the service and product offered were at best, average 3 Star. I will say that the trip to
Toronto was much better - newer aircraft A340 with more modern IFE. Food was decent both directions
and beverages were plentiful. I was not impressed with the aged B747-400 which was used from YYZ to
CDG. Seats were not nearly as comfortable - not lie flat. Also I had a choice of approximately 4-5
movies on the old entertainment system with the very small screen - simply not good enough for an
international flight. Air Canada offer a superior product compared to Air France. I have been in
several Air France lounges including this recent trip. These lounges are always over-full or beyond
capacity. They offer virtually nothing in terms of food - basically they offer beverages, crackers,
and apples. In my opinion, even KLM offers a superior product in terms of aircraft comfort, lounge
facilities, food, and inflight service.

GVA-CDG-ICN in Business class. I was dreading a connection in CDG, but was pleasantly surprised with
how easy it was. Signage seems to have improved and, while CDG remains quirky, it was not the horror
show it has been. Security friendly and efficient and the lounge in 2E comfortable and welcoming.
Maybe I was lucky, but credit is due here. The 777-300 flight to ICN was quite comfortable with
gracious FAs, smoothly functioning IFE and very good food and wine. The seat is not to BA Club World
standards but was comfortable enough. On time to the minute. ICN is a great transfer airport that
belongs in the same league as Singapore and Hong Kong.

BKK-CDG-EDI economy. Despite a 5 hour layover in CDG AF cannot transfer my bag to EDI. Then they
cannot put it on the next flight but leave it until the next day. Next day the flight arrives in
EDI at 08:30. Called AF several times to be told, yes it would be delivered that day, the delivery
company picked it up at 12:00. Finally at 21:00 the delivery company calls me to say they only just
got it and would deliver it the next day. Why can AF not transfer a bag in 5 hours at CDG from 2E to
2E? Why does it take AF 48 hours to deliver a bag from EDI to my home? In that time I could
physically walk to the airport. 1 star is too generous for this airline.

Tokyo-Paris-Bordeaux. Quite cramped cabin of a B777-300ER, with a 3-4-4 configuration when other
major airlines have 3-3-3 configuration. Very narrow aisle, with cart bumping aisle seat and its
passenger, narrow armrest, OK seat width, and OK legrest. Good new generation IFE system with more
than 80 movies to choose as well as video games. Excellent Service with nice FAs and good meals (OK
quantity, good bread), with snacks and drinks available in the galleys between meals. Nice amenity
kits with eye masks, earplugs and a menu. Paris-Bordeaux also good, with good communication from the
captain, drink/snack for this 1.10 hr flight. CA friendly as most of the time.

FRA-CDG-EWR Economy, Standard service FRA to CDG, connection of 1:10 was tight but worked. Flight
from CDG-EWR a surprise for a fully packed flight, amenity kits, menus, drink service before and
after the meal. A330-200 with better than acceptable seating, older IEF which worked fine, crew
friendly, toilets clean, second meal service better than most carriers and almost on-time
performance. Luggage delivery was prompt.

KBP-CDG-KBP. Crews are very good and service oriented. I liked cleanliness of the plane (A319). Bar
service was generous. That was where pluses ended. Both flights were late (2 hours outbound, 1 hour
inbound). Special meal mediocre. Planes had no overhead screens. Seating cramped. Planes had only 2
toilets (1 for business, 1 for economy). Lines for toilets were unacceptable. Toilets were
constantly occupied so nobody cleaned them. Website didn't allow to print boarding pass. My printout
suggested me to obtain boarding pass form check-in desk. I had no luggage to check in, so had to
stay in the line for 25 minutes (business class desk!)to find that even my selection of seat was
given up. What's the reason to have such an excuse for web check-in! Delays were managed badly both
ways. Lack of announcements from the crew about time of new take-off and arrival. Call-center in
Kiev gives you no help at all. Manage my booking page at their website doesnt allow you to make
selection of meal. Service at CDG was mediocre with empty business class desks next to overcrowded
bag drop-off. All in all, 4 star in the air, 2 star on the ground. 3 star. No integrity of service.
Way below BA and Asian airlines. Will not consider it for business travel and for longhaul.

MIA-CDG-BCN return. All flights on time. Coach plus MIA-CDG on 747. Basic in seat IFE. Excellent
and attentive multilingual crew. CDG-BCN on A-321. No inflight snack to BCN. CDG transfer also
not at all as described on AF website, but signage between 2E and 2F excellent for a welcomed
change. Return on A-319 to CDG and final leg on a very old 747-400 coach with no inseat IFE or
overhead air vents. Seating on this plane was too tight for comfort. The crew again spoke French,
English and Spanish, and interacted with passengers in friendly manner. Coach between Miami and
Paris better than other airlines.

Paris-Shanghai B777-300 economy. As Flying Blue platinum member I used the lounge (Term E) which was
crowded and unpleasantly hot. Boarding process was extremely crowded (why have separate boarding
entry for Elite (Plus) members and Business/First class passengers if everybody can use these?).
Seat was fine although a bit cramped for a tall passenger as me. Flight attendants were polite and
professional, good food and good IFE. Flight left and arrived on time.

Manchester to Paris return. MAN-CDG was satisfactory - on time, check in fast, seats weren't
particularly comfortable but sufficient for a short hop. However, on our return my partner used the
self-check-in machine with no problem but when I tried it gave me a card which said 'Not valid for
boarding- your seat could not be confirmed' and the check-in staff couldn't explain to me why my
partner (who'd booked our seats in the same booking) had his seat number and boarding card and I
didn't, she just sent me on to the gate staff. When we got to the gate, the agent said I'd been
upgraded as economy was overbooked. Why couldn't anyone at check-in have explained this to me? To
make matters worse, the upgrade meant I was separated from my partner and the gate agent wouldn't
upgrade him and eventually downgraded me back to economy to upgrade someone else. Having been
downgraded we were still sat apart and the gate agent basically passed on the problem to the crew,
who were equally useless and eventually it was only thanks to the initiative of various other
passengers who'd also been split up and messed around that we eventually managed to sit together.
When we eventually got off the ground, the flight attendants were friendly but the 'meal' from our
itinerary was a very small bag of nuts! When we booked AF we had hoped to be looked-after by a major
full-service carrier but instead got something far below what I'd expect even from a low-cost
airline.

12 short-haul and 3 mid-haul flights on AF in the past 2months - impressed with their product,
especially tempo-challenge 'mid-class' which is essentially business on economy fares. Staff well
groomed, knowledgeable and responsive with excellent English. E-services work very well for
eliteplus benefits including seating allocation, unlike on KLM. Didn't use lounges so no comment for
that.

Flew with them last week on what should've been a short city-hop, EDI - CDG. First time travelling
with our infant son, just under 2 years old. Even tho I'm a frequent flyer with them, no priority
check-in at EDI, no help with infants. An hour and a half in the queue for the baggage drop and then
an hour sitting in the plane at the stand as they'd overloaded the plane. Seems like all bags were
removed for travellers that didn't have a connecting flight, therefore ours was taken out, despite
them knowing that we were travelling with an infant and despite the fact that our baggage should've
been given 'priority handling' as one of the frequent flyer benefits. The bags were put on the next
flight, so arrived some three hours behind us. Were promised that the bags would be put in a taxi
and delivered that night, which didn't happen. Spent the next three and a half days being lied to by
their baggage 'customer service' people as to the whereabouts of our luggage. Turns out they'd
posted it on the Monday morning, rather than courier it out to us directly. Just to cap it off, the
pilot aborted the take-off on the return flight due to a 'small technical hitch' with one of the
wings - another two and a half hour delay due to faulty planes.

IST-CDG-YUL return in economy. Istanbul check in was very easy, got seat requested for CDG-YUL.
Boarding a little chaotic. IST-CDG was A321, but no IFE for a 3 hour flight. Legroom good, and food
and beverage service acceptable. Flight attendants friendly and efficient. Transfering from terminal
2E to 2F was confusing, with a long maze of corridors to follow and another security check. AF
boarding at 2F was like a cattle yard, open for boarding just 20 minutes before departure, too short
for such a big plane, a 747-400. CDG-YUL lots of leg room, very good safety briefing by staff.
Service excellent with good food and beverage service. IFE old seat back, but ok, with good
selection of movies. Return check in at YUL fast, using YUL self check machines, then baggage drop
off. Huge lineups for screening, mid afternoon, too many flights scheduled to depart around same
time, it took 50 minutes to get through security. Same upper deck seat YUL-CDG. Staff friendly and
meals and beverage service excellent. Transfer from 2A to 2F was fast, and aboard flight to IST
quickly. All in all a pleasant experience as you can get today. AF beat prices by other airlines,
even THY by a couple of hundred dollars.

LHR-CDG-CAI return economy. I'm a bit torn, as I would rate the aircraft decent - IFE is not on-
demand and almost childish (worse than Emirates, Virgin, BA etc) but still better than the Egyptair
alternative on this route or most American carriers. Meal was good and wine very nice - FAs very
professional. However, transferring at CDG is a total nightmare. Our outbound involved three
shuttle buses and going through security twice. The return involved one train and one security
check, at which point the duty free I had purchased in Cairo was confiscated (stupid me for thinking
they would have an international transit area like most modern airports). Their staff need serious
training on Skyteam Elite status and what that means - I had to tell the check-in desk to put
priority tags on my bags, which the baggage handlers ignored anyway, and elite pre-boarding is non-
existent - no pre-assigned seats for European destinations means your elite flyers who are
connecting from Asian or other long-haul connections end up in middle seats in the last row of
economy. Not up to par with other top airlines.

My daughter recently connected to Air France in Detroit on her way to Paris. Unfortunately she got
sick while waiting in Detroit and was not able to make the connection. Air France employees offered
absolutely no assistance or guidance. Her luggage was removed from the flight (supposedly) but she
was not allowed access to it. A Delta representative finally took her under his wing and assisted
with rebooking, lodging, etc. My daughter had to wait for 24 hours in Detroit - no luggage, sick,
alone. When she left out on the next AF flight, she was told by 3 different AF employees that her
luggage was on-board. Guess what? Upon arrival to CDG and after 5 hours of searching and asking - no
luggage. Great way to start your first European adventure. Air France customer service does not
exist except in name. It is impossible to speak to a real person, it is impossible to get anywhere.
I will never give them my business again. I would rate them less than 1 star -zero!!

STR-CDG return on economy. Had access to the lounges (Flying Blue Gold). Very packed in Stuttgart,
with nothing to eat except some crackers. Poor selection of magazines and no internet connection.
Better in Paris (Terminal 2D) with some big defaults: not airside, means you still need to go
through security before your flight and still nothing no eat except crackers and yogurt. Both
flights on A319, clean cabin and excellent staff. I still think, AF should serve some small sandwich
on all flights and not only on mealtime flights. Both flights were on time or even landed ahead of
schedule. Priority tags are respected only in CDG and not in STR. This is probably the only working
thing in Paris airport. I do agree that the new terminals E, F and G may be nice and efficient but
the 2D need refurbishment urgently and more place to rest!

Just returned from Manchester Airport on return leg of CDG flight connecting with the excellent Air
Madagascar. Mine was one of 30 pieces of luggage left in CDG and no apologies or explanation from
casual baggage control at Air France. Was promised delivery later in the day (lunchtime flight). Now
told I might have it tomorrow. The sheer incompetence and casualness of this airline amazes me. A
tightening of compensation rulks by the EU for this sort of major mishandling of other people's

HKG-CDG-EDI J Class. Lounge was heaving and very hot indeed. Full flight - and one of those trips
where there is a bad environment as soon as you boarded the flight. On Air France they come around
after take-off with a tray of champagne. Trouble was, I didn't really fancy a glass of champagne -
I really wanted a G and T. No big deal I would have thought - this is business class after all -
but it took two more requests and a good thirty minutes to arrive, and was eventually delivered with
a grimace rather than a smile. The flight was on a 777-300 ER and the seat felt smaller than my
previous Air France flight. The other point is that there were around 70 business class passengers
and two bathrooms for all to share, resulting in significant queues for much of the flight. The
whole experience seemed rushed and crowded. I guess that the flight could be best summarised by a
harassed stewardess balancing two meal trays on a trolley and sending them both crashing to the
ground. Generally the whole thing was a bit disappointing and I wouldn't choose them going forward.

LHR-CDG-ICN business class - a mixture of good and bad. LHR- CDG on A321, but as many others have
commented the business class cabin is simply economy in the standard 3-3 layout with no one sitting
in the middle seat. Perfectly comfortable, but the snack was an odd choice for 10.15am: a basket of
roe, a beetroot mousse and a rich chocolate cake. The flight landed late and connection to Seoul was
only 45 minutes. Straight off the plane, I was thrown in to a van, driven across the airport and
told to "run" to the gate to make the plane. This was complicated by poor signage and rude,
aggressive staff at the baggage scanners, who couldn't have cared less that I was late for the
flight, but I just made the plane due to a 20 minute delay closing the doors. The 777-300ER was
seemingly new, with great seats in business class. Plenty of space, almost flat when converted to a
bed, and with charming amenity kits. IFE is surprisingly, not AVOD. A decent range of films, but it
feels outdated without the on-demand element. Food as always with Air France, was fantastic and
plentiful. Service onboard a mixture - on the one hand, being refused permission to use the bathroom
while we waited at the gate at CDG, on the other a friendly and professional cabin attendant who
couldn't do enough to make passengers comfortable during the flight. My bags, which I had emphasised
must be with me on arrival on Seoul, had not made the connection. They arrived 24 hours later,
despite 2 flights per day from Paris to Seoul which struck me as pretty inefficient.

CDG-FCO . The only positive comment I can make about this flight is that it was on time. Things
started with the surly gate attendant. After having taken care to respect the rules for cabin
baggage she barked "You will give that to the hold" and proceeded to attach labels to my bag. The
seating is extremely uncomfortable - seat backs are designed in a way which makes it impossible to
fit one's feet under the seat in front - result, severe discomfort and feeling of claustrophobia.
This was a lunchtime flight but the only things served were drinks and a packet of chemical coated
exploded rice - not even a sandwich! At least low cost companies offer a limited choice of snacks
which one can choose to purchase if wished.

MAN-ICN via CDG. A320 MAN-CDG. Business Class seating is standard seating with a little extra
legroom and seat width. The centre panel of the middle seat folds down to create a table. I am 6'3"
and found it fine for a 90 minute trip. Since I last made this trip AF have down graded brekfast to
a small sandwich and a pastry. Previously this had been a hot meal. Cabin crew were friendly but
business like. The transfer at CDG was tortuous. The MAN flight arrived at Terminal 2E and the ICN
flight departed from 2E yet I still needed to walk for ages, take a shuttle train, enter the public
area and clear security. Every time I use CDG there seems to be a new reason to inconvenience
passengers and I recall why I like Schipol! B777-300 CDG-ICN. Business Class seating is pretty good.
Almost fold flat seats with plenty of lateral space. IFE was very good with a wide choice, however
the camera was not working which is a shame as the approach to Incheon is great. Cabin crew were
really engaging and thoughtful on this sector, they seemed genuinely interested in passenger
comfort. The food was great and plentiful.

Our party of three flew on Air France from BOS to MXP via CDG as a result of a rebooking made by DL
because of a missed connection. Check-in in BOS was smooth. BOS-CDG was operated by a 744 almost
fully booked. FAs were very professional and nice. Food was some of the best I found on a plane.
Transiting at CDG was, as usual, a disaster, but this is not AF's fault. One out of three bags was
lost in the process. Flight to MXP on a 320 left ontime and arrived early. A nice breakfast was
served even if the leg was just above 1h. Overall, a good experience with AF.

Dxb-CDG-Man Business Class A340. Check in staff at Dxb were very surly and rude - my husband is
Platinum Elite member and we had pre booked the seats only to be told they were not available - when
asked why the check in girl just shrugged her shoulders and pretended she didn't understand English.
She placed us all in seats 7 all across the width of the plane, immediately behind us was economy
with just the curtain for seperation. Behind us was a family with a child who liked to run up and
down the aisle and play with his hammer and bricks! I have children and have travelled with them
many times but when you pay the cost of a business ticket you don't expect to be more or less in
economy. The seats were quite comfortable, IFE worked well and food was much more edible than KLM.
Cabin crew were really good, very pleasant and took time to speak to all passengers and to collect
comments on how they could improve their flights. I found them much friendlier than BA or Virgin
staff. Transfer at CDG wasn't too bad until we got on the Man flight. To summarise - we had to
eventually change planes due to serious brake problems, then the mother of all electrical storms
came overhead just as we got to the end of the runway! We landed in Man 4hrs late. I would fly with
AF again, I just hope they keep upgrading their aircraft and sort CDG out.

TXL-CDG-JNB return. Fairly new 777-300ERs with new IFE. Reserved window seats for both legs via AF
website. This worked, and I was allocated booked seats on check-in, even though the return leg was
overbooked. Ordered a low salt menu - it was provided and was quite tasty. All night non-alcoholic
self-service drink buffet provided on 777-300's. FAs on both legs were attentive, especially FAs on
JNB-CDG. All spoke good English. AF provided a quick transfer in CDG for Pax connecting to flights
with under one hour connection time, so that I got my connecting flight to TXL. Baggage arrived in
TXL on same plane as myself (surprise, due to tight connecting time in CDG). Downside was that I
felt the area of the cabin where I was seated on both legs (rows 36-46) was a bit hot. FAs tried to
adjust the cabin temperature control, but it didn't help much. This is perhaps due to 777's not
having individual air vents over each seat. Seat pitch in Y is extremely tight (32"), about the same
pitch as Ryanair. This is too narrow for a 10,5 hour flight, so if the plane is full, don't expect
to get much sleep! There was actually more space for my legs on the A319 feeder from TXL to CDG.
AF is good value for money, but now I know why they can offer such reduced rates in Y on this route
compared to their competitors (cabin configuration 10 abreast and seats with 32" pitch).
