Udaipur Airport

Not Verified | Ladies toilets were bad, flush were not working. Female assistance were cleaning toilet just before entry only for Foreigners, why? I am from Mumbai and highest contributing tax payer of India for so many years. But then why service is bad for Indian citizens.

Not Verified | Poor spacing, poor food choices, poor temperature maintenance, suffocating. The impression of a beautiful city fades away once you spend some time in the airport

✅ Trip Verified | Positive: very clean toilets. Fast check-in, service, X-ray scan, security. Bad: restaurant is closed. The 3 coffee shops have identically printed menu (ie same items and prices). Talking to the manager I learnt that ALL 3 cafes are owned by same person. So the choice is limited and prices are higher than other airports. Looks like the coffee shops are probably owned by the son of some MLA. Why is Udaipur airport authority giving the contract for 3-4 coffee outlets to one owner.

✅ Trip Verified | Air Conditioning does not seem functional, the temp was less than 10 degree and was very cold. Flight got delayed and the display screens were not commanded properly. Big queue at Checkin and staff was too slow.

✅ Trip Verified | This airport is situated good one hour away from Udaipur. Small and basic airport. Nothing at arrival hall, not even a tea/snack shop. Toilets need to be more clean and hygienic. Only 2 baggage belt on arrivals so easy to get baggage, also very short walk from aircraft to baggage to exit. Wifi is of no use, either it won't connect and if connect won't be working properly. Few chairs available near baggage belt. Uber/Ola available from airport also a prepaid taxi counter for booking. No public bus available to city from airport. If not travelling with heavy baggage then can walk to highway and then wait for bus going towards Udaipur.

✅ Trip Verified | What a miserable little airport. First up you show your ticket and passport to someone at the door. Then step in and put luggage on a belt to be scanned where again you show passport and ticket. Then you take luggage to the check in desk. Show ticket and passport. Plus credit card that you booked with. Then a line for bag check. Bags on a belt while you stand under a sign for women (one) or men (four). You get called into a booth that has curtains (help where is my bag?). You are patted down and a metal detector scan all over. Super sensitive even for my underwire bra. My wrist went off (operation years ago). I had to explain that in detail. The whole procedure was not done in a friendly way. Then quickly rush back to the belt where all my valuables were in my bags. The waiting area is dull with nothing to do. One small store open airside. Even the smoking room was closed. I was happy leaving this airport.

It is a modern airport built about a year or two ago. Though small and only flying out domestic flights it is air conditioned and has a two shops and a restaurant. Security and checkin was efficient and modern. There is not a lot to do so if you get there early I hope you have a book to read.

An almost new airport that is reasonably efficient up to and including the security checks. Security checks are stringent unlike those at some other Indian airports. The "no batteries" rule in hand luggage is strictly enforced. Past security there are no facilities at all except a small shop. And if there is air conditioning it didn't work. So eat and drink before going through security. Only one gate of the three (on the ground floor) is operational and there is no seating at all upstairs.
