"security people were rude and uncaring"
Paul Keeley (United States)
Not Verified | The arrival at the airport was chaotic. The departure was even worse. There was no organization of how to get through the check points. Lines to and from the check points were at times in the same area creating a traffic jam that none of the staff seemed to know how to correct. People in line were constantly having to deal with baggage handlers going against the flow of people in line, creating much tension. The security people were rude and uncaring and did not seem to have any idea on how to handle the check point. Parcels that were put on the scanning belt were shoved through without any concern that the passengers were held up for a pat down thereby risking items being lost. Airport personnel were constantly telling people to hurry up with no clear direction as to the seating area or how to get out to the plane. I will never visit St. Lucia again.

"genuinely worst ‘service’ ever"
Richard Hughes (United Kingdom)
Not Verified | Arrived at 2pm on 20th October, queued for 2 hours in a massive tent. Only 3 people checking passports / covid stuff, couldn’t move any slower if they tried (another flight had landed at same time) really bad experience with young children. On departure, we arrived exactly 3 hours before departure - big queue at BA bag drop desk - nobody there. Waited a further 20 minutes as almost queuing out of the door, ground staff finally put in an appearance. When got to the front of the queue, told not allowed to fly! Didn’t have NHS covid travel pass (I had been given a letter proving double vaccinated as my data was incorrect and could not be fixed simply) letter not acceptable, disgusting service, no help, advise, assistance in how to fix issue, genuinely worst ‘service’ ever. By speaking to customers, advised me to travel as ‘unvaccinated’ but had to rush to get private covid test $100 and change letter. They genuinely tried their best to stop me from flying. Made it with 10 minutes to go. ‘Computer said no’ at its very worst.

"they rush you through the lines with the rudest attitude"
Samantha Stamey (Georgia)
Not Verified | St. Lucia airport is very poor and this is all for all employees attitude, they will throw away your belongings very rudely such as perfume or lotions that are too big to travel. Just toss it right in the trash can in front of your face. Half the employees send us in a direction where we can smoke a cigarette before flying, then when we reach outside we told no smoking allowed in very rude tones. No air conditioning and they rush you through the lines with the rudest attitude.

Flew to Barbados from "Vigie Airport" last month. Staff were ok. It was clean. Rituals only place to get food and it's overpriced and thank goodness LIAT was on time as the departures lounge has almost nothing.

I must say St Lucia is a very beautiful place to visit but when it comes to traveling from Castries Airport it can be a killer. I was traveling to Barbados with LIAT and I must say the terminal was clean but very very small. Back then American Eagle (Executive Airways) was flying from San Juan to St Lucia and back. So we got the news that the LIAT flight to Barbados was delayed due to the rain. As I proceed to the departure lounge I was shocked by how it looked. The amount of people who were in the small little terminal. Both the Barbados and San Juan flight was delayed. It was such a disaster. But within an hour and some I boarded the dash 8 planes and was on my way to paradise. Got to BGi 2 hours late though.

Very small airport but well located just on the core of the capital. Immigration is ok and customs quick there's a cheap coffee shop before security as someone said before you're out of the airport in minutes.

I arrived at the George Charles Airport after a flight from Bridgetown Barbados. It is a really small airport conveniently located near Castries. The airport can only handle smaller aircraft (turboprops) the main international airport is in the south of the island (UVF). Aircraft arrival at the platform is greeted by local spectators at the airport fence. Arrival hall is a single room that contains one baggage belt and two customs positions. Obviously you're out of the airport in minutes.
