✅ Trip Verified | Despite of being the main international hub of Somaliland, Hargeisa Egal International Airport is small and pleasantly old fashioned. Arrival was uncomplicated and baggage delivery fast. You can buy your local sim card right in front of the only baggage delivery belt. For departing passengers there is one waiting room with optional open-air seating, which is only separated from the apron by a decorated fence. Security and immigration are housed in a newer building on the landside. There is one coffee outlet, a small souvenir shop and two departure “gates”, which are simply different seating areas on the first floor. For boarding, everybody then walks out onto the apron through the same door. All staff, including the immigration and security officers, were extremely friendly and courteous.
