✅ Trip Verified | Having stepped off an A380 a day before, it was quite a strange experience to be one of just four passengers on the 70-seater, propeller ATR 72 aircraft from Bangkok to Laos. But the one hour and fifty-minute flight experience was lovely. Following the traditional 'Sabaidee' greeting from the friendly two-person cabin crew, we took off on time. The elegantly uniformed flight attendant had a frangipani placed in her hair, echoing the country's national flower, as well as it being in the airline's logo. The 2x2 seating was comfortable with ample leg room. Although a small airline, it had an in-flight magazine. It was a sunny day, and flying at around 23000 feet, we had a clear view of the mountainous green scenery below. A small snack box was offered which contained a tuna and cheese sandwich and drink, and hot coffee was also served. On arrival at Luang Prabang, stepping out, umbrellas were available just in case you found it too hot (or if it was raining) to walk to the terminal building. The return flight was also on time, this time with around 20 or so passengers, nearly all enjoying posing for photos by the aircraft.

✅ Trip Verified | We reserved two seats to fly Lao Airlines non-stop in mid-January 2023 from Chiang Mai, Thailand, to Luang Prabang, Laos. The night before the flight, I logged on to their website to check-in. Surprisingly, I discovered the flight was cancelled. We had never received notice. After multiple requests for a refund, Lao Airlines has promised to refund the cost of the flight, but we still have not received our money back. Additionally, Lao Airlines has refused to pay the incremental cost we incurred to fly another airline above the cost of the Lao Airlines flight. If Lao Airlines had notified us ahead of time, we could have delayed our flight to Luang Prabang by one day or flown one day earlier on Lao Airline flights that were not cancelled. As we did not receive notice, we were forced to purchase a much more expensive one-stop flight on another airline, which included significant luggage fees. Lao Airlines needs to take responsibility for its mistake and reimburse customers for costs incurred due to their mistakes.

✅ Trip Verified | Friendly airline. No Skybridge for the ATR 72 and the board from the back. Although Seat 3A was quiet - you will be one of the last ones to sit and one of the last to leave your seat. The snack was a bit sad, but it was a short, smooth flight.

✅ Trip Verified | Excellent, timely departure and arrival. The cabin was clean, the staff kind and the bags were promptly delivered. Nothing to complain about.

✅ Trip Verified | Luang Prabang to Vientiane. Check-In was fast, well organized and the staff friendly. The departure / arrival was on time and the aircraft made a very well maintained impression. During the flight, despite the short flight time of only 35 minutes, there were small bites and drinks. The seat absorbency was slightly larger than other airlines. Overall, a good, surprising experience.
