Sydney business lounge very spacious with nice views. Food quality good, hot food offering of
soup and meat pies a little disappointing but cold meats cheese were of a high standard and
bread was fresh. Lounge feels too modern, could do with some nice artwork to enliven the
space. Nice light fixtures particularly at the large communal style wine bar. Plenty of room
to relax and find privacy if needed. Nice mix of seating arrangements. Nice showers. Overall a
pleasant pre flight experience.

The renovated Qantas Club at Perth International is a vast improvement over the old one.
It's looks and feels like the other Mark Newson designed Qantas lounges with the seemingly
larger space punctuated with different areas serving different purposes. The toilet and
shower facilities are also much improved while the food and drink on offer has not changed
since the old days. The only major gripe would be the extremely warm temperature of the
lounge which was acknowledged by the receptionist as being problematic.

This place is a joke. Two flights were scheduled to leave within 90 minutes. It was standing room
only. The circumstances were not made any better by considerate passengers reserving seats with a
book, bag or badminton racquet while they were busy using one of the many computer outlet seats.
Hello, people, use your wi-fi card. Now, if you can find a seat, the next adventure in
impossibilities is to find some food. The soup bowl was empty, and the spoon lay forlornly on a dish
covered in old soup. There were three pieces of salami awaiting somebody to take them away. Why
nobody had done so, I am not sure. Everything else had been devoured and not replaced. I understand
airlines are struggling with high fuel costs and largess bonuses for the mahogany row, so I guess an
easy way to save money is to run the lounge service to the ground. Hire the least number of staff as
possible (no largess there). Hopefully, these ungrateful passengers will learn to not enrol in
loyalty schemes that bring businesses like Qantas to its knees. I must see what alternatives there
are. I am now understanding of why Qantas has never risen to the lofty levels of five star class
airlines listed on Skytrax. Fellow flyers, use Qantas lounge, Narita at your peril. Hopefully the
core business, flying, will offer a better experience.

Very difficult to locate this lounge amid the noise of Mackay's all-user terminal at morning peak
period (such as it is). Once in there I found the previous night's dirty cups and plates still lying
around and a general feeling of non-care. No views or windows of any purpose that I can recall but
the seats are comfortable and at least one can get a little work done in some privacy and send fax
messages etc.

The lounge is a good idea over and above the hectic Qantas club. The lounge was open but has not yet
been completed. This meant to go to the toilet actually leaving the lounge, going into the Qantas
Club next door and using the toilet and then going back to the business lounge. The food is no
better than the Qantas Club. There are just less people in there and it is nicely decorated. Their
information on the website leads you to believe that it will be a step up yet it is really just less
hectic from what I experienced.

The AA/QF lounge has been recently refurbished to include some large seats that
seem to have given a rigid feeling to the lounge. You can't move them and it
limits where you can sit with a group. Amenities remain basic. The flight we were on was six hours late and we got thrown out of the
lounge in the wee hours of the morning, an hour before take-off, with the curt message: "The lounge
is now closed. Please go to Gate 41". They had to clean it, I guess, but it's great to know that the
lounge won't remain open when you need it most. First class lounge staff disappeared after midnight.
At least the self-help alcohol remained whereas the pay bar in the business class lounge closed.
Shower fittings in the disability cubicle were broken and it was very difficult to get the water
cooler than hot.

Flying Cathay Pacific to HKG, who have use of the Qantas lounge at Sydney. Night flight so
trying to relax after a long day. Its the second time I've used the lounge and each time was
similar. The floor needed more than a good vacuum. It looks as if its maintained last
thing (at night) only or at best has a 'quick run over' at other times. I cannot relax in a dirty
area. Not a nice place, the food is just OK but is small in
available quantity and so runs out quickly, so time your visit to the counter well. Internet access
is well behind Cathay standards. Qantas staff at the entrance were nice but let down by the
catering area staff who may have suffered from a long day.

Was looking forward to experiencing the new First Class Lounge. I found it quite difficult to locate
the entrance. I found the reception somewhat overbearing and formal - I was asked if it was my
first visit and having said yes was then ushered straight into the dining area - it would have been
nice to have been asked if I would like to be shown round or have the facilities outlined etc.
However I wanted some lunch and had a great view of the Sydney skyline and runway. Service was
excellent and friendly - though only 3 of us dining. Extensive menu on offer and my light lunch was
fine - not amazing though. Lounge was spacious and light. There was an equally condescending
Receptionist at the Spa there who informed me that treatments were only available to full fare First
Class Qantas passengers - so when is an Alliance not an Alliance ? I was booked on a full fare
American codeshare. I was not impressed with her tone and manner. The business facilities were
excellent and other staff I encountered were more welcoming. I enjoyed my time there but found it
all a bit corporate and soulless.

Used the Tokyo Narita Qantas Business lounge before my flight from Tokyo to Sydney. Overall a good
Qantas lounge with good amenities and many many internet stations. I requested a shower room before my
flight, to be told they were all busy. I went to check and there was one free. I went and told them
it was available and could they please have it cleaned so i could use it. They gave me a beeper and
after about 10 minutes told me the shower room was ready. I went into the room and it hadnt been
cleaned at all! I eventually asked the cleaner for a fresh towel and shower mat as time was running
out before the flight. This experience would never happen at lounges i have used before in
Bangkok,
Singapore and London Heathrow. There was also a fairly poor selection of snacks in my opinion.
