Unimpressive lounge. I asked BA which would be the better lounge to use, and they recommended
the Mexicana. I have also visited the AA lounge, but they are both at a par and they are more
like rest areas rather than lounges. The lounge does not have a good selection of snacks /
food at all and it is not really self service, you have you to wait of ask a member of staff
to bring you something, which is inconvenient and puts on the pressure to tip (customary).
There is a much better selection of food and drinks (Starbucks) in the main terminal in the
food court on the second floor. Ok, so you have to pay for it, but you are not missing much if
you skip the Mexicana lounge. Also, both lounges are far away from the BA gate and are very
difficult to find. Alternatively, go to the Hilton hotel lounge in the reception area, make
yourself comfortable, order some snacks or food and get free WIFI access from the reception.
