Several years since last used MEA - expecting great things, was very disappointed to see that standards have
actually fallen. Staff onboard the flight were lazy to be polite about them - most time spent talking amongst
themselves, and when they did service passengers, it was with a very grudging attitude. Newer aircraft are
an improvement, but MEA meal standards have fallen - and with a lot of the food items almost cold when served, this
is not something I would want to try again. Also have some serious concerns about cabin safety standards, and feel that
Skytrax should review MEA safety procedures for a new ranking - staff ignored all of the basic safety items on both
my flights, and dread what might have happened in the event of an emergency. All in all very, very disappointed, and
will revert to BA or Emirates for this ME trips.

BEI-DXB Business Class. Cannot be faulted. From the lounge to the nice A-321
business section and the food. Cabin staff were charming and everything was clean. On-
time arrival made it a great 3hr flight.

I flew between BEY and LHR last week on MEA in Economy Class and found the service impeccable. Crews are professional. The cabin and individual AVOD
entertainment system are superior to other European carriers serving Beirut. My gripe
is the catering on morning flights to London in YCL. MEA should look at changing the service to
offer something more imaginative and enjoyable to its backseat passengers. The choice of omelette or
knafeh is not good enough for the national carrier of a country famous for its fantastic cuisine and
the Lebanese breakfast is one of the world's culinary delights.

Flew Business Class from CDG to Beirut on 3 June on an A-321. Wow! What great seats - better than
AF 340 trans-Atlantic. Tremendous legroom. Great entertainment, good food, friendly staff. A real
treat to fly, and FAR superior to AF.

ME402/3 KWI-BEY-KWI, The service was good, generally, onboard the brand new A321. PTV's, with a
choice of about 5 movies (but no other entertainment programs like Emirates). The food was good
(though on the return flight it wasn't that good), and above all, cabin crew members are great.

Frankfurt-Beirut-Frankfurt, Economy, A321.
Very pleasant flights with a very helpful and friendly cabin staff. Choice of two meals, newspapers,
good inflight entertainment and comfortable seats. The food was good and the service in Economy
Class far better than on other airlines.

MEA is finally resuming flights to Copenhagen. Since 1998, MEA stopped serving the Danish capital,
and offered a one stop in LHR or CDG instead. The service was great , but direct flights are always
smoother on the traveler.
MEA used to fly CPH with the B707, and in the summer season with its elegant B747-200.
The service of MEA now has greatly changed and improved with the new A330 that MEA use on the Paris
and London route, with very advanced PTV, including the option of video on demand!
Last time I flew to Beirut, was with SAS and MEA via London Heathrow. on the London/ Beirut sector
the food was great, the hostesses have gone younger and more professional, and the
entertainment
was impressive. MEA deserves more than an 3 star ranking.

I have been travelling between London and the Middle East for 20 years. I have recently
shifted from British Airways and Air France to MEA on routes that are offered by MEA, because I
found that MEA has some details these airlines lack in Business Class.
The ability to always offer you the best personalised service possible, and high degree of
hospitality. The catering is better than before. One thing, MEA should add some crucial middle eastern destinations such as Bahrain, and Doha.

Beirut to Paris in business class, new A 330. Excellent seating including video cassette players and
electric remote control, comfortable legroom. Crew was friendly but disappeared after breakfast was
over. Food OK but not fantastic.

Beirut-Athens in an A320. Voluntarily offloaded from a BA flight to LHR so was re-routed via Athens,
first with MEA and then some horrid Greek airline that I'd rather not think about! MEA really
impressed me. Clean aircraft and great food, no IFE on this flight but the sector was pretty short.
Friendly (and very attractive!) crew made this flight a pleasant one.

London-Beirut-Larnaca. A330 LHR-BEY, Economy class, more legroom than other airlines, generous meals and drinks,
up to date entertainment, and staff not arrogant. Same on Beirut-Larnaca A321. With MEA, you expect your trip to be acceptable, but you get the best service.

A330-200 in Business Class from Abidjan to Dubai via Beirut on 5th of January. The
crew service and food were superb. The entertainment is really impressive: especially the video on
demand. The reading material is very sophisticated. The crew is very helpful, and professional. The
check in is pretty smooth, the MEA business class lounge is impressive. Beirut Airport is very wide
and not very crowded, very clean, but there isn't a wide variety of restaurants.

London-Beirut on 24 December and return to London on 4 January. Both legs on a new
A330. Check in at London very smooth. Onboard the aircraft staff with genuine smiles and
warm welcome / orange juice before take off. Menu and landing cards issued straight
after take off and drinks offered. Lunch followed (Lebanese starters and a choice of 3 main courses) with
wine and coffee. Personal Inflight Entertainment system best I have seen on economy with a choice of films, audio channels, around 18 games.
We had video on demand on each seat in economy which allowed me to watch films whenever I wanted as well as forwarding, rewinding and pausing when I wanted.
On the return flight, I was upgraded to Cedars class at Beirut Airport.

BEY-DXB Y class on an A321 aircraft. Helpful check-in agent in Beirut. In flight crew
spontaneous, attentive and
anticipating even in Y class. Seatback TV a nice addition and food delicious. One thing I don't feel comfortable was the relaxed attitude on safety. The
safety video image was not available in the Economy cabin but the crew did not bother to replay the
video or do a manual demonstration.

DXB-BEY-DXB for a four day getaway in Lebanon. The new aircraft are certainly very comfortable
(A 321 outbound and A330 return). Both aircraft
had in seat videos in both classes but the 321 did not offer the range of choice
- two run of
the mill films in English, a couple in Arabic and one in French. The
330 had a much better selection of recent films. The onboard service definitely could use
some improvement. Flight attendants were attentive, but nothing out of the ordinary. One of the
flight attendants BEY-DXB had such heavily accented French and English that he was difficult to
understand. I'm not one to complain about inflight catering (I just expect it to be bad) but I
must say I expected better something from a Lebanese company - where food is a national obsession.
Very bland and uninspired catering in Y class. Upon landing in Dubai, most of the pax sprang up to
retrieve their overhead luggage. Flight attendants made a half hearted attempt to get pax to regain
their seats and then just happily chatted with pax as they milled about the cabin as the plane
continued its long taxi to parking position. No announcement was made to induce passengers back to
their seat. One wonders if MEA's approach to other aspects of inflight safety is equally lax.

I flew from Paris CDG to Dubai, UAE via Beirut on MEA and must give this airline due credit for its

I would recommend this airline on any of the sectors that it flies.

MEA is constantly striving to improve. Catering is good and seats and IFE on their new Airbus fleet promise
to be far better than those found on other carriers operating in and out of Beirut. It's
onboard
duty free shopping service is very extensive. Beirut
International Airport is a very modern, user friendly facility and MEA staff there are very
polite and extremely efficient.

I've had the pleasure of flying MEA once a year from LHR to BEY since 1999. on my way to Beirut from
Canada. I found the "atmosphere" and crew professionalism and friendliness second to none. The food
served in Economy and in Front class is bountiful and delicious. As a seasoned
traveller, I tend to
have some apathy towards airlines in general but this was an experience I won't soon forget. Well
done MEA. Keep up the good work.

In my opinion, MEA is the most convenient to Lebanon and the middle East. The Business Class,
entitled Front Class, is as good as the Business Class of Emirates Airlines, and
maybe even better,
since more legroom is offered. I have once traveled with MEA from Dubai to Amman, and since then, I
only travel with MEA. On the other hand, MEA gives you the opportunity to spend one night in Beirut,
the capital that is really something!

I flew MEA from Dubai, Athens, and Paris to Beirut and
must commend the airline on it's customer service. The business class section is very
comfortable and inflight catering is wonderful. One thing that makes MEA one of the best airlines, is it's staff. They always have a smile on
their faces and ready to help you at any moment. With the addition of new aircrafts to the fleet in
2003, this airline will have a lot more to give to it's customers.

MEA's A321 is very spacious. When I was coming to Beirut from Frankfurt, I reserved the first seat
in economy. You have so much space. The food was delicious, we had a choice
of two hot meals.
The nice thing about the service is that MEA offers stainless cutlery. On the way back to
Frankfurt,
the front seats were booked, but the seating was very comfortable - not as much as in the front. I
think that MEA is a good airline, but it needs to modernize all its Business class and make them
standard for all its fleet.

I recently flew MEA from London to Beirut Economy and I found it to be excellent. The food was
lovely and quite filling - legroom was superb. They only played one film
though and I would prefer another on a 5 hour flight! BA flies small A320/321s on this route so I
liked the spacious A310. The MEA cabin crew were extremely helpful and always
smiled - the best thing about MEA is the atmosphere!! When I went,
everyone was chatting and making friends - unlike other airlines where they are quiet!

MEA's A310 are still very good airplanes - the business class from Paris to Beirut offers
comfortable seats with personal video, - from Beirut to Dubai the A321 offers wide leather seats.
The food is amazing and the connection time and facilities are very convenient. I think that MEA is
offering very good connections between Europe and the Gulf/Middle East.

I often travel on Middle East Airlines. I found it an excellent airline, both in economy and in
business. Nice food, comfortable seats. The leg room is huge. If you look to their seating capacity,
it's lower than most of the other airlines on the same type. And even on short haul in
business you'll get large leather seats, not economy seats like on Air
France. The MEA fleet is young except the A310, but they will be replaced by 3
x A330-200 they recently
ordered. I think with their incoming fleet A321 and A330 we can expect an even better service. I've read the
330 will have digital personal video in both classes

Want to fly to the Middle East from Europe? Try MEA! Great seats (economy and business), great
meals, and the cabin crew is always at your service. The stewardess are fluent in English, French
and Arabic and are very competent. Good job MEA, you make Lebanon proud!
