MAD-MEX Coach with Aeromexico. Check-in very quick since the flight was almost empty. Boarding fast, and departure on time. Cabin crew much better than on my previous flight with Aeromexico, however they are still aloof, and some treat passengers as if they were kids - they do their service and go to rest at the back of the plane. Food was average. Aeromexico is a good airline, clean and safe aircraft and on time - however, cabin crew could have a much better attitude, and be a bit more humble.

VER-MEX-CDG in business class. Very bad experience - VER-MEX arrived late at Mexico city so I missed the connecting flight to CDG. It was possible to change for another flight 3 hours after with Air France (in codeshare) but Aeromexico refused. They even refused to pay the accomodation. The aircraft was an old Boeing, seats old and only reclinable to 120°, no entertainment except a portable multimedia player with 5 movies to be held with your hand. But the worst was the food, you must be very hungry to eat what they propose!

MEX-MAD with Aeromexico turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The crew showed no interest and were disrespectful to passengers. Food was good bearing in mind it is airline food. I've never had this sort of experience with AM before, probably the crew morale is going down the toilet.

MEX-CDG in economy-class on a dated and worn 767-300. After a pleasant experience on Aeromexico's domestic services in 2007 I decided to try them on long-haul - a decision I regretted more than once on this 10:30hrs flight. The positive aspects - spacious waiting lounges in new terminal 2, flight was on time and the seat pitch generous. The plane was a masterpiece of misplanning - toilets and galleys only in the very front and the very rear, Y-pax had to walk from row 12 onwards to the filthy washrooms beyond row 38. The service sub-standard - unfriendly, rushy cabin crew, some stewardesses gave no smile at all. Food-portions very small, poor quality - better bring your own. No snacks in-between available, not a single water-run except for meal-times. Monitors (no PTVs) with a lot of malfunctions, nearly impossible to watch movie (Spanish and French speaking only). No airshow. Not a single announcement from the flight deck. This specific flight was definitely two classes beyond Air France's own services on the same leg, unbelievable they accept such substandards for a code-share with own seat-allotment. I will never fly them again on long-haul.

How this airline has 3 stars is beyond me. Flew Premier Class Madrid to Cancun return November 2008, and can honestly say it was probably the worst I ever experienced. The seats were uncomfortable and the food almost inedible. The staff at best were polite but uninterested. The only redeeming feature was I think 5 good movies to watch - nothing like the selection on Emirates but I'm trying to say something good about it. Their Business Lounge in Mexico City (it is shared with other airlines) is a joke, it would probably hold 30 people comfortably and not the 100+ that was squashed in there. I left it to go sit at the gate where it was much more comfortable. Their Lounge in Cancun is no better. Overall given a choice I would never fly this airline again.

Chicago O'Hare to Cancun via Mexico City return. The flight crews were professional and courteous. Imagine getting a meal on your flight at no additional cost, and free alcoholic beverages and peanuts. Also a free recently released movie.

BCN-MEX-BCN in Economy Class. Pre-assigned seats, both out and inbound, during a call to their Barcelona representation office enquiring for upgrades which were not available for non Aeromexico frequent flyer programme. Despite holding a Gold Flyingblue card was denied access to lounge both in Barcelona and in Mexico. Old 767-200ER from the pre low cost times which meant that legroom was more generous than in newer planes. Food above average, plenty of water runs, attentive staff but no personal IFE, main screens only for a total of 5 movies which was rather annoying in a 12 hours day flight, on both legs.

CDG-MEX and MEX-PVR returning PVR-MEX. Flight to Mexico City an oldish 767-200. Seats were old style with no foot rest or personal seat back tv, but had new fabric and padding. Video screens spread out throughout the cabin - inflight entertainment was poor. Service was great, friendly chatty staff who were well groomed. Vegetarian meal was ok. Mexico city to Puerto Vallarta delayed by an hour - information given but a bit patchy. Flight on a new 737-700 was very short, staff friendly. Flight back PVR-Mex staff again very friendly.

Roundtrip MEX-GRU during this month, and a good experience. Both flights on a B777 with good space, entertainment, food and service. It was my first that I use the new facilities at Terminal 2 in Mexico City, and check-in process and immigration customs were good even though systems for check-in process was interrupted they gave hand written boarding passes and baggage tickets. Boarding passes were changed later at boarding gate. Salon VIP Premier is functional, much better than they had in Terminal 1.

JFK-MEX return in Clase Premier, a very positive experience. Check-in quick and efficient at both ends. At JFK, departs from user-friendly T1 and offers Premier passengers access to Air France lounge, which is comfortable but lacks free wireless. At MEX, the airline’s own T2 is new and spacious and will continue to improve as more stores and restaurants open. Aeromexico flagship Salon Premier lounge is bright, lively and modern, with fast and free wireless, a glass-walled video game room, a wine tasting room, a spa, and a good selection of free snacks and beverages including a real espresso machine. Both flights operated by new 737-800s. Seats in Clase Premier very comfortable. Breakfast on outbound flight and dinner on the return, both above average, with nice Mexican and Chilean wines served at dinner. IFE on consisted of movie on drop-down screens. Service friendly and attentive throughout, although it helps to know a little bit of Spanish. No announcements from cockpit crew until just before landing. On arrival, both T2 at MEX and T1 at JFK are great for quick customs/immigration clearance.

My three students and I were on an alternative spring break trip to Nicaragua with an overnight layover in Mexico City. We arrived at the Mexico City airport 2.5 hours ahead of time, waited in unbelievably long lines, and were then told that the flight was closed and that we would not be able to leave Mexico City for Nicaragua until the following Saturday (8 days later). When we tried to book a flight home, we were told by AeroMexico that we could not leave until Wednesday (5 days later). We were treated rudely, given no travel or food vouchers, and were stuck in Mexico City for five days. Then, when we went to the airport on Wednesday for our flight back to the US we were told that two of us were listed as "no shows" and had no ticket (although we had been previously given seats and confirmation numbers days ago by the airline). It took two hours of arguing and being sent back and forth from counter to counter with AeroMexico employees who were completely incompetent, rude, and unprofessional. I have flown all over the world, including airlines from Nepal, Thailand, Korea, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. I have never, ever had an experience like the one I had with AeroMexico. I will never, ever fly with them again and recommend they either shut down or learn how to run an airline service.

My daughter had to change planes on a flight from Sacramento, CA to Hermisillo, Mex. making the connection at LAX. She was misdirected by Aeromexico gate attendants back to the ticket counter and missed the flight. She was told that her bag was removed from the flight and returned to United Airlines. Upon checking with United they stated that they had verification that the bag was transferred to Aeromexico. They kindly took a lost baggage claim. Aeromexico refused to take a claim since they stated "you did not fly on our plane therefore you were not a passenger and we could not have had your luggage"! We called Hermisillo airport and they said they did not have any "extra" luggage from the flight my daughter missed. The next day she was able to acquire a seat on the flight to Mexico and sure enough her suitcase was in Hermisillo waiting for her. Had she cancelled her flight she would have never been able to link up with the suitcase Aeromexico claimed they never had!

Charlotte, NC - Mexico City - San Jose Cabo.: Upon landing in Mexico City we were told to get our baggage & recheck it since international flight. Waited until all luggage came through, asked someone else and were told it went straight through to destination. Needed to get boarding passes, were misdirected by multiple airport staff, waited in endless lines, resulting in missing flight. Finally found that we needed to go to entire other concourse on "tram" shuttle only to find that Aeromexico had no flights til following day - BUT said they'd book us on Mexicana. This didn't end up entirely true - They couldn't honor missed Aeromexico flight so we ended up buying another set of tickets at over $500. On top of this, when we finally arrived in San Jose we learned that our luggage did NOT follow us - we were (2) entire days/nights without luggage.

Veracruz (VER) to Mexico City on Aeromexico Connect. The check in agents at VER were clueless, it took two of them about 10 minutes using an instruction manual to figure out how to check me in. The plane arrived a few minutes behind schedule so we were late boarding the EMB-145 aircraft, which was about 2/3 full. Like most airlines flying RJs they tag larger carry-ons for delivery at the planeside upon arrival. The interior was attractive with leather seats and clean. There was one flight attendant who was professional and friendly. Announcements were all very clear, which is rare on the somewhat noisy ERJ, and made in Spanish and English. Since the flying time was only 40 minutes, she passed through with a beverage cart almost as soon as the plane was level. A selection of drinks and some peanuts. Upon getting off the bus there were very few signs to direct you to connections or the exit. I wound up two levels higher than I needed to be and had to cross the terminal to get down to baggage claim & the exit. The air train to Terminal 1 was speedy and efficient. Overall it was a pleasant experience on Aeromexico Connect. Inflight service was great! The real problem was the woeful ground staff in VER. Hopefully they will also fix the signage issue in the new terminal.

Puerto Vallarta/Mexico City/Leon. New clean plane, pleasant and polite flight attendants. Little fizzy candies reminiscent of the Rockets or Sweet Tarts candies given out pre flight. Snacks were spiced peanuts. Fair leg room. Cannot really find anything at fault, the flights were great.

Guadalajara to Miami. There was no line at check-in for which I was pleasantly surprised, and plenty of agents to help. I flew with 2 dogs (in the hold) and the agents were very helpful. They told me when my dogs were boarded and where they would be located upon arrival to Miami. The flights left on time (had a layover in Mexico City) and the dinner, drinks and entertainment were great. The only trouble I had was when I arrived in Mexico City and could never find where my connecting flight was located because it wasn't listed on the tv monitors.

When overbooked, agents in Mexico City close the flights early as a strategy to free up seats without having to offer cash or vouchers. I fly often and have never been late for a flight. I arrived over two hours ahead to check in. No one was in line, but I was told that the flight was already closed, because it would take so long to process me. I was then told there were no more flights with seats to my destination for five days (it was over the holidays). When I got on the airport wireless and went to Orbitz, I found a flight leaving the following morning, though it cost me $350 to get on it.

Our trip on Aeromexico from Chicago O'Hare to Puerto Vallarta was one of my worst airline experiences ever. After we booked our flight, the flight times and seats were changed repeatedly. This changed our outgoing flight from an afternoon flight to a morning flight without getting us in any sooner and forced us to stay the night before in a hotel and splitting us up from our young children on one leg. On our outgoing flight, they asked if we were willing to allow them to reclassify our 2 1/2 year old as a lap child, which we agreed to, but when we arrived at the airport, they would only refund a third of the ticket price instead of giving us a full refund as promised. Also, five out of our six bags were damaged during inspections. They changed our return flight from an afternoon flight to an early morning flight, increasing the layover to over five hours. This layover was increased when they had the airplane and pilot at the terminal but refused to leave as there was a delay on another flight that contained passengers booked on our flight. This continued for over three hours and at one point they told us that if the flight never arrived they might cancel our flight entirely. This affected about thirty passengers and when we complained as a group they called a supervisor who offered us free airline peanuts and soda for the problems caused. We finally made it out of Chicago O'Hare at 3 am the next day. Overall amazingly bad service and I would avoid this airline at all costs.

Lima to Paris via Mexico City. Overall a good experience. LIM to MEX on a B737, modern aircraft, friendly crew. MEX to CDG on a B767, again Aeroméxico flight attendants friendly, food more than OK for being airplane food. Overall, a good airline, they should just work on their IFE.

Premier Class MEX-MAD and CDG-MEX. Overall a pleasant experience. On the way out, the plane was new 777 with new seat configuration: very good, excellent IFE. Good selection of wines and food even though the menu was the same as 3 months ago! On the way back the plane was an old 767, who had seen better days. Excellent food and wines, IFE a bit outdated.

Premier Clase - Madrid - Tijuana. Great check in at Barajas, but there the service stopped. Told toilet not working before take off and waited 2 hours at the gate. Purser informed us that airline would take care of us at Mexico City as we had missed our connecting flights - She lied. No help offered, agents at customer care got up from their seats as shift had finished - leaving us to fend for ourselves. The flight itself was quite bad - terribly old plane, average food, films at least 3 years old. After arriving at final destination almost a day later - took things up with Aeromexico - they all seem to lie - told an answer would be mine in 3 days - took 3 months! Travel agents inform me in Mexico that they are ok for internal flights but quite bad on intl ones - not looking forward to the return flight.
