Wonderful airport with great hospitality, only wish some other airline other than Ryanair flew into there from the UK.

This is a nice little airport as previously stated and one minor comment which persons using it for the first time should appreciate is that there is no ATM or machine for buying tickets for the connecting buses into Stockholm although the information desk is helpful and do accept most credit cards. They will try to assist in anyway possible. So be prepared.

I am a big fan of this airport. It has only four or five check-in desks, and lots of plants and pine furniture in the small departure hall. It feels quite homely. The staff at check in, and at the small cafe, have always been pleasant when I have flown from here. I have also flown from Vasteras when the weather conditions have been dreadful - very cold and heavy snow - and everything at the airport, and the shuttle bus from Stockholm, have functioned with typical Swedish efficiency.

Stockholm Västerås is a tiny airport located around 80 minutes' drive west of Stockholm. The name is therefore misleading as Västerås is a "proper" medium-sized town in its own right. The place has a very friendly, easy-going feel to it. There is very little to do save buy a cup of coffee, or something stronger if that's to your taste. but then I have never had course to spend more than 90 minutes at the airport. There are special, very efficient, buses to Stockholm and elsewhere which connect with incoming and outgoing Ryanair flights. It is also possible to take a regular bus into Västerås. A totally hassle-free, calm place to begin or end a journey.
