Excellent. We were re-routed due to bad weather. I travel in a wheelchair. Immediate assistance was available
to show us the restroom that my husband could go in with me. The staff were friendly, good food choices for our
over 3 hour wait.

We have been travelling through this airport for the past 15 years. Last summer the arrivals lounge immigration
queue took almost 2 hours to get through. Not enough desks open and whilst we waited several shut down even
though there were at least 600+ passengers still in the line. Have heard situation is still bad 1 year on. Not
looking forward to arriving in June. How can they treat their visitors so badly when they bring so much money
into the local economy? When I tried to complain last year I was told there is no one in overall charge of the
airport and so I complained on the customs/immigration website. Doesn't look like it had any impact though! When
is the local tourism department going to sit up and take notice that this is not the best way to attract
international visitors?

Spent a couple of hours here on Saturday 30th March. Of the 50+ airports I have used over the years, this
one and Singapore stand out as by far the best. I rate it because of the space, the comfortable seating areas
both in the main terminal and in the satellites, the range of eating facilities and the ease. Of finding your
way around.

SJU-MCO. Every time I go it's always a different experience. I fly with Jetblue and I love the fact that the Wifi
is free. Our bags are always delivered on time and we don't have to stand in line so much when we leave is
great! I really like the wide variety of shops that resemble those of the theme parks. I like the variety of
restaurants to choose from. I never have any trouble finding the gates and terminals because of the ease of
access! Everything is so organized in this airport.

1.5 hour wait in line after arriving from UK, with a tired and thirsty 2 year old child. This was an awful and
cruel experience. They know how many people are arriving, why can't they improve the system and add more
immigration agents? Avoid at all costs until someone fixes this! If you can't avoid it make sure you take
some water from the plane to drink, there's nowhere to buy anything until after immigration. Such a terrible
start to what was a great holiday. Other than the wait, the airport is great.

Arrived at Orlando international March 11, 2013. There were about a thousand passengers in the long line to
Immigration. Only half of the booths were manned. After 1.5 hours 5 of the 10 officers picked up and left
bringing the speed to a minimum. Me and many hundreds of other passengers, many with small children had
to spend 2.5 hours in total standing up in line. This is completely unacceptable. I have travelled to countries
like Saudi Arabia and Iran. The Immigration procedure is a lot better in these countries than at Orlando
International. My recommendation is to avoid arriving on international flights to Orlando. Better go through a
larger airport like EWR or JFK.

We have been visiting Orlando for many years now. This airport is becoming unbearable. We flew in from
Manchester UK, Sunday 3rd March 2013. We were the 2nd flight to reach Customs and Immigration. Both
flights Jumbo's. Followed by another flight being British Airways. Probably a total of at least 1400 people to
get process by just 10 Officers. This Airport does not even put into consideration or even care that these
passengers have encountered a 9 hour flight and a time difference of 5 hours and many passengers flying
with young children. We did not get processed until we had been in line for 2 hours. Somehow this airport
thinks that level of queuing is acceptable! They need to now accept that it is switching people like us off. We
have be known to visit 3 times a year. We are now contemplating going elsewhere! We are sick of them
wasting at least 3 hours of or holiday hours being spent in their airport.

Arrived from Manchester UK on January 21st, long wait at immigration due to two UK flights landing at the
same time (approx. 2 hours). The immigration officers were all courteous and polite even to those who chose
to ignore the no use of mobile phone laws, unlike other U.S airports I have travelled to. On leaving the USA
from Orlando on February 20th the lines at passport and security appeared to be long but it took only about
15 mins to get airside, again the officers on duty were courteous and polite. All in all a better experience
than my last visit to the USA using Chicago O'Hare.

After reading several reviews, I was not looking forward to the experience, but I have got to say arriving just
in front of another Transatlantic flight was lucky as our wait to clear immigration was quick maybe 15-20 mins
max, some off that flight looked in for a long wait. Our bags were on the carousel when we arrived at the
collection point and the shuttle to the main terminal was hassle free. We departed the following Saturday
which was 22nd December amid reports of one of the busiest days in the year to travel, but had no problems
at all. TSA had plenty of channels open and got through in under 5 minutes and from a personal point of view
the TSA staff were polite and efficient and the best we have come across. Overall a good experience.

This is a tale of 2 airports. For travel within the US, overall I have found it reasonable. However, for
international travellers it is a real pain in terms of getting from the aircraft to the terminal exit door. Having
passed through immigration, you collect your bags from the carousel, then go through customs. Having
negotiated that bit, unless you are able to carry all of your bags up the escalator, you then place them on a
conveyor before making your way to the ghost train over to the main terminal building. At this point you hope
your bags arrive for a second time. Inevitably they do not come off together, resulting in more frayed nerves.
Hopefully they all arrive and you are free to go. Why do they not build an international terminal where the
bags only need to be collected once rather than have this hugely inefficient method.

I echo Mr Brigance's review. A very pretty airport but going through security is the worst layout ever. The
worst design, the longest delays. For some reason this was designed so that - rather than each airline
having its own security lines, or 3 or 4 or 5 airlines sharing one security area, MCO is set up so that all
airlines, all flights, share two security areas. Last week on a slow midday afternoon in September, I waited
20 minutes just to get to the agent who checked my boarding pass. It was another half hour to get through
actual security from there! Seventy gates of passengers were funnelled into 7 lines. Made the NYC subway at
rush hour seem like a Disney ride. They desperately need to redesign the security arrangement. I hope
smaller airports like Melbourne will grow and become affordable alternatives because I would do almost
anything to avoid flying out of Orlando. Coming in, no problem, but passing through their awful security
system - arguably the worst in the US and maybe the world - is just not worth it anymore.

Probably my favorite airport to travel through. Staff are helpful and the terminals are always clean. The gates
are very well indicated. Orlando MCO also has a wide variety of shops and restaurants. My favorite part of the
airport is probably the main building with the large fountain in the middle. The monorails are also a nice
touch. I have never had an issue with bags and my flights are always on time. I have travelled with this
airport many times and I recommend it.

Lots of gates, lots of people and they all funnel from two supposedly separate terminals into one security
zone. Most cumbersome and time-consuming airport I have ever experienced in 5+ millions miles of
travelling. TSA folks not the problem. Delta, not the problem. Basic design terrible - just compare Tampa for
example, where you ride the trains to separate gates and then go through security. I will never fly to
Orlando again no matter how circuitous my routing has to be in order to avoid it. Also, rudest airline
employees I have ever seen. As I was about to enter security scan, 6 employees pushed in front of me,
saying "employees go first." After 45 mins in line, I had to wait an additional 30 mins for this intrusion as 4
had to be hand-searched. That also was a first for this fairly experienced traveller. Never again.

We flew to Manchester from Orlando International. When we tried to reach our gate lines for security were 4
to 5 wide then merged very slowly into 1 line. People that choose either of the outer lines appeared to jump
into the middle of the line as it merged. All in all the simple bag and clothing checks were over 1 hour on the
day we flew. The whole process was a disaster, we could see that Homeland Security people were trying their
best but appeared overwhelmed by the situation. Other aspects of the airport are fine, road access, check-in,
facilities for eating etc.

This is an airport I use a lot and I despise the place. Arriving on a domestic flight into Orlando, the
experience is pleasant enough, but the airport does a dreadful job of catering for international passengers. I
now prefer to travel via better airports in the USA, where immigration and customs is less time-consuming.
On my most recent flight just 10 days ago, immigration would not allow our Virgin Atlantic 747 flight to
disembark passengers due to excessive queues. We were told to remain on the aircraft for 30 mins. After
disembarking, we stood in a slow-moving line in immigration for 90 mins before being seen. Definitely not an
airport I would recommend. For a speedier immigration and customs experience when arriving from overseas,
look at travelling indirect and clearing both at some of the country's better airports - New York JFK and
Boston Logan, in particular, were both very efficient.

Orlando International is very similar in layout to Tampa in that it has a landside terminal
with several airsides that are connected by overhead trams, with one exception: whereas in
Tampa, security is on the airside after exiting the trams, in Orlando, it is landside before
boarding. Still, open lines were ample and even color coded for beginners, intermediates, and
experts. I was in the expert line and cleared security in under 10 minutes. The main
terminal is stocked with shops, restaurants and even a Hyatt hotel. On the airside there was
a Burger King, Nathan's Hot Dogs, Outback Steakhouse, Starbucks, a deli and a couple of snack
bars, however there was not adequate seating at the restaurants themselves. There are coffee
tables and chairs in the center atrium of the airside, however they are all bolted to the
floor. So if you plan to eat before you fly, I would advise arriving at the airport early
enough to check out the dining options pre-security. I noticed restrooms were inadequate
particularly when multiple flights were arriving, and they were rather dirty.
When arriving at MCO, remember that baggage claim is on level 2 and ground transportation
(rental car & Disney shuttles and taxis) are on level 1. Long term parking at the airport can
be paid by Sunpass, however it is expensive. There is ample off-airport parking nearby for as
little as $4-5 a day so shop around. Just allow an extra 30-45 minutes depending on distance.

Nice, clean, well organised. The monorail is amazing, and tells you that you have come in the
attraction parcs world. I found the airport well organised, for both arrival and departures.
No queue for me at my checkin, only 5 minutes before security. Some restaurants are also
available after security, the airport provide free wifi. As for arrival and for departure the
organisation is lovely, if you have for example to rent a car, after collecting back your
luggage, all car rentals are located one floor under, and then you just have to get out of the
airport, a 3 minutes walk and you are at your car.

This airport has really been improved in recent years. Immigration now seems quicker, and
certainly more well mannered than most US customs halls, they almost seem pleased to see you.
Transfer by the monorail is quick, clean and comfortable, however you still need to drag your
luggage up an escalator for the final third of the journey. If you are not prepared to haul
it up, they will transfer it for you but they take an eternity to get it up in the arrivals
hall. Very clean airport with good facilities, the car hire is the easiest you could hope
for, Alamo, Thrifty, Dollar etc , providing they are not too busy. Your car is waiting in the
car park just yards away and when you return the vehicle, you just leave it in the short term
parking - no need for shuttle buses. A hundred yards, one lift and you are in the terminal.

I have transited many airports in Europe and the US, and think that MCO is one of the easiest
to get around. It is also one of the more pleasant to wait in, as there are plenty of stores
to browse and different eateries to select from. Plenty of seating and natural lighting too.
What you have to know is that the airside gates are away from the main terminals, connected by
an elevated tram system. Because of this, I would suggest you do any eating or shopping
before going through security, as the options airside are somewhat limited. Although there
seems to be a Starbucks in all the airside gate areas, so I'm happy. They have gotten much
better with security, the last 3 times I've been through (June, October, November 2009), I
never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be screened. Arrivals, both domestic and from
international have not been a problem either. Passport and customs is pretty smooth, and you
can now choose if you want to take your bag with you on the tram after clearing customs, or
put it back on the belt and collect it in baggage claim. This is a wonderful option for those
that just want to get out of the airport as quickly as possible after a long plane ride.
All in all, a pretty pleasant airport to transit - miles better than IAD or ORD, but my
favorites will always be AMS or MUC.

I departed from MCO and had a mixed experience. Landside, MCO is a veritable shopping centre
and my wife and I had a browse, ate in the food court (very reasonably priced). Security was
cleared in minutes and we were airside within minutes. Aer Lingus flights depart from gate 28
and this departure area is not particularly pleasant. The range of shops, cafes and bars is
limited and in stark contrast to landside is quite expensive. Two glasses of average wine came
to just under $20 for example. Very annoyingly only one set of restrooms in this area were
working leading to queues! This is wholly unacceptable. Unlike the vast majority of airports
this area doesn't have any executive lounges. Servisair operate in the airport, surely there
is a market for such a lounge. I would be quite happy to pay for this service.

MCO is a great airport for departing passengers: bright, airy, spacious, great range of shops
and restaurants. Arriving (from Dublin) is a nightmare. Clearing customs and immigration is
pretty efficient. Baggage is anything but. You have to collect your bags, deposit them at
another belt, and then wait for their delivery into the arrivals area. Even allowing for the
transit from customs to arrivals, we had to wait almost a half an hour for bags to arrive.
There's a global recession on folks, why not try to make arriving in your airport a less
stressful experience. As I said, the departure experience is much more pleasant.

This airport must be so new (it is lovely, clean, light & bright-looks like a mall) that they
haven't had time to install signage; or they ran out of money! After we returned our rental
car (Avis, in the airport) we rode the escalator upstairs to ticketing to check our bags only
to discover we didn't know which way to go; apparently finding the airline on your own is the
game of the day. Went one way, turned around, went the other way, asked directions, were told
to go to the other side and take a right, didn't find, asked directions again, told to keep
going straight, take a right and we'd find USAir. Finally did find it but at no time, anywhere
was there a sign - for any airline! Is this an airport, with airline ticketing? And we must
have walked a mile; good thing we had about 2 hours! Oh, and lets not forget that before
returning the car we found a close-by service station (SunCoast) to fill up the gas tank - at
the great price of $4.39 a gallon! We had to go to Orlando on business but you can be sure we
won't be going there on pleasure after this experience. We'll take our recession money
elsewhere.

On the whole, Orlando International Airport is a very enjoyable airport to transit through.
The only two problems seem to be security queues and rental-car check-in queues. The security
issue has significantly been improved over the 12 years I have been transiting through the
airport, albeit queues could be around 15-25 minutes at peak times over at Concourse B when
the Virgin Atlantic, British Airways & Lufthansa International flights depart. The problem
with rental car check in has been improved in the last few years. The worst does seem to be
Alamo however Dollar seems to be the best contender, especially during peak times around
14:00-17:00 with queue to car (Side B) in less than 15 minutes. Overall Orlando is a great and
relaxing airport to transit through and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Florida,
especially internationally. With the expected terminal renovations, it should make the
experience even better.

only 3 people behind the desks. Maybe we can start reviewing Rental Car Companies on this

Horrible, mass confusion. It took us an hour to navigate after dropping off the rental car
and going through screening. Albeit, we did arrive only an hour prior to boarding, but it
shouldn't have taken an hour on a Tuesday at noon to leave. Their screening area was a
jumble, not enough lanes open for the amount of travellers. We had to get rescreened because
I put my laptop in the same bin as my shoes, etc (don't do that) and it took forever for it to
come back through once they separated it. You definitely need 2 hours to go through there
airport.

If You are arriving into this airport and are going to go to Disney use the Disney Magical
Express Bus Service. This is the way to go.. If You are going to do Disney stay on the
property and at Disney's Pop Century Resort. Now when you get off the plane and you are on the
side that has a water fountain on it walk right through that and follow the sign for chillis
too. Once you see Chillis too look for the b side which you will see solantic Urgent Care
center. Go to the elevator and go to level 1. When you get to level one look for disney
magical express bus service. You must check in at the desk before boarding the busses. After
you check in you will be assigned by your resort for the busses. When you are eating inside
the terminal go to Famous Familga's Pizza and Sabarro it is great. Don't bring water or
anything through TSA and have your laptop computers out of the bags. Now when you get off the
plane (Except for disney resort guest) you will arrive on level 3 in the main terminal.
Baggage claim is on level 2 of the airport as well as curbside pick up. If You are getting a
Taxi its on level 1.

Orlando airport is in dire need of renovation, which it appears they are working on but if you
are traveling through this airport currently, prepare for less-than-comfortable surroundings.
I fly through many airports and this is by far on the low end of major airports. In the 1-29
wing, the ceilings have been removed revealing the structure and it looks as if asbestos is
exposed to all. There are air ducts in plastic running overhead that shoot a brisk breeze to
all below. There are minimal food options and restrooms. The line at Starbucks is huge
because it's the only game in town in this wing of the airport. The airport does nothing to
help their cause. If you have the option, fly into Tampa which is much nicer, especially if
you're on business. You can avoid the families and retirees who know little about navigating
through security, etc.

I travel through MCO several times a year on business, and have found the airport to be
pleasant to transit. Yes, the Disney influence, screaming kids and ridiculous "monorails" to
the main terminal were off-putting at first, but I've grown to appreciate the kitsch factor
and a Bose headset mutes the brats. The only real lines I've encountered at Orlando were for
ticketing, and curbside usually alleviates this - it's worth tipping the skycap to avoid the
rabble. Security checkpoint lines are usually VERY fast, a welcome difference from the TSA
mess at most other major airports. Personnel are usually polite, efficient, and a few are even
downright friendly - again, a welcome surprise. I travel most often on Southwest, and that
carrier's terminal is impressively clean and modern, with a number of shops and fast food
choices. Walk times from the furthest gates are a bit on the long side, but I don't mind the
walk. I've never had to connect at MCO, though, so I can see how this would be a challenge,
especially between different carriers. For a busy, congested airport, you can do worse than to
travel through Orlando - think "Miami."

A modern, relatively comfortable airport. Also extremely busy, with many families starting
or ending holidays there, which adds to the chaos in the check-out lines (lots of overweight
baggage on the way out, and far too few attendants, at least at Delta). After checking in,
getting your bags weighed, etc., you need to take all of your bags to a security area to
leave them off for scanning (agents said to just leave our bags and leave, which seemed to
defeat the purpose of security; also, not clear what would prevent one from adding items to
their luggage to get around weight restrictions). Security line was relativey quick for us,
but have heard it can be very busy. Plenty of options for shopping and dining, but far fewer
once you go through security and take at train to your individual terminal. Returning a
rental car can be a bit confusing, since some companies have their return facilities next to
the terminals (need to walk) and some are off-airport. Worse, when we stopped to top-off the
tank of our rental car several blocks from the airport entrance, and, with no price signs
outside the station, we found only at the tank that gas cost TWICE as much as we had paid
several miles away. The attendant explained that the higher price was due to it being "on
airport property." Sounded like a rip-off (fortunately we were buying just a gallon). We were
in the area of hotels and shops and restaurants, but not within the airport itself. We had
flown into Jacksonville when we arrived in Florida, and would likely endeavor to use it, or
perhaps Daytona, when departing from the area again unless we wee going to be based in Orlando.

For international arrivald its a complete shambles. Having cleared customs you now cannot
take your baggage via the shuttle to arrivals. You have to go through the whole security
screening again, and then you must place your baggage on the belt for delivery in the arrival
area. One hour later the bags arrived on the belt.

Terrible airport as far as accommodating passengers. They have all the Hotel and Private Limo Pick -
Up spaces on Level one way down at the end of the line on both sides. A very long walk if you have
luggage to carry. Toward the end of the year 2008 Hotel and Rental Car buses and large vans will
have to drop passengers off on Level One and not on Level 3 where curb side check in and ticketing
is located. Passengers will be required to walk all the upstairs to the ticket counter. Another long

I worked in Florida for a while and was a regular at the airport! I have seen it where everything is
open, no delays and everything is quick and goes to plan - I've also seen the complete opposite!
As for facilities, these are what you would expect in an Orlando airport - generaly a good choice
and selection of near enough everything. The terminal (land side) makes for an interesting wander.

When we arrived from the UK from the back of a 747 I expected a long delay through immigration
however I was pleasantly surprised to see all booths manned and the process only took about 30
minutes. However customs randomly x-raying baggage is a new one for me and one or two people were
struggling to get their bags on the machine. Departure was good with plenty of choice for food at
reasonable (for an airport) prices. Also there was plenty of room for passengers to sit.

Orlando. I appreciate there may not be full availability of staff as it was Sunday afternoon but
overall I feel this is poor planning on the part of the authorities. There was a group of officers
standing in one booth chatting and seemingly indifferent to the melee forming in this hall. They
are undoubtedly aware of the number of overseas flights and should plan for pax arrivals
accordingly. After a long wait two more desks were finally opened to process more people thus
causing a mini stampede. No security search on arrival this time around (I have commented on this
previously and wondered why this was). Pax are now permitted and actively encouraged by staff to
put their suitcases on the train rather than use their slow belt system after clearing Customs.
Orlando has a nice departures area which a wide range of shops and restaurants (particularly
landside but airside is good too especially when compared with some other US airports). There are
now a wheelchair line and a families line at the security checkpoints on departure. Lines move very
slowly.
