Compared to GRU and other S.American airports it is not that bad. For arrivals, the metro does not exactly
reach the airport but there is a city bus that can get you to the nearest station. English signage is totally
lacking so finding that bus is not going to be easy for international travellers. Airport is crowded but for
Brazil, amazingly somewhat efficient. For departures, don't even bother to check the gate number on your
boarding pass. It will change - often more than once before boarding. But there is a modestly overpriced
bar/stall after check-in where you can watch the monitor as your gate changes.

One of the best domestic airports in the country. Well-situated. Come prepared for delay, gate changes and high
prices. Be careful with illegal taxis.

Interesting experience. This airport is very close to the city, mainly for domestic flights and
is extremely busy. However even though really crowded all queues seem to move very quickly. A
reasonable mix of retail outlets and I thought the prices were OK. Plenty on taxis on return,
there are pre-pay ones but for journeys into the city a metered cab is fine.

Have some mixed feelings about this airport. I enjoy its atmosphere and the boarding area from
where the runway and planes can be seen. On the other hand, many of the usual Brazilian
airport inefficiencies are present - high prices, constant gate changes, no English
announcements in boarding facilities and a chaotic luggage claim area.

Vintage airport that has been updated and serves lots of people on domestic flights. The
energy level is high and the view of the runways and operating area is excellent. Fun place to
arrive or depart with plenty to see and no end to the people-watching opportunities. Pretty
efficient as well.

This is an interesting airport for Domestic flights
throughout Brazil. Check in area is full of lines for all different
airlines, and like old style the airline offices are opposite to check
in. Many people buy tickets same day at the airport. Not many people
speak English but if you ask someone if they do, they will try or get
someone who does if they do not. I checked in for my flight on GOL and
had 3 hours. They would have put me on the earlier flight if there was
seats available, even with the departure leaving in 15 minutes. Prior to
security the main building has a round waiting area with shops, food
areas, and so forth. If you go to the second floor you will find an
Internet cafe, barber, pharmacy, police, etc. Go to the third floor for
a wonderful outdoor bar and a full service restaurant full of TV's and a
wonderful buffet. You can stay as long as you like and be away from the
throngs of folks travelling, especially on weekends. Past security is
the new terminal that is huge and if your gate is at the end it will
literally take you between 15 to 20 mins to get there. No moving
walkways! There are snack bars and little shops along with plenty of
seating. NOW! You need to understand that there are several gate changes
and the ONLY main screen is after security! So be sure of your gate if
you can. Anouncements were made in Portuguese and then English every
time. People will help you if you dont speak Portuguese, just ask!
Signage is also in English but if you are going out to get a taxi or bus
you must take the elevator if you want to keep using your free trolley.
Taxi line can be long and if you are going outside the city to say the
International airport they will charge you 50% additional to the fare!
Thats the law. Take one of the buses if you can to transfer to
Guarulhos.
