The prestigious 5-Star Airport rating is awarded to airports achieving the highest, overall Quality performance, and recognises those airports providing excellent facilities for customers, which combine with high quality airport staff service. Airport Quality ranking covers front-line areas for departures, arrival and transfer, including airport facilities, customer service, security, immigration, shop outlets and food and beverage facilities.
World Airport Rating is the global airport quality ranking programme operated by SKYTRAX, the international air transport rating organisation. Ratings are determined through direct and professional analysis of Quality standards, and the Airport Star Ratings are recognised as a global Benchmark of airport standards.
NEW : 5-STAR REGIONAL AIRPORTS
The 5-Star Regional Airport Rating was introduced by Skytrax at the end of 2016, to enable proper recognition of smaller airports, and those airports that focus predominantly on regional route operations. Whilst not global mega hubs, these are airports that deliver the highest quality levels to their customers and meet the stringent 5-Star requirements. The first 5-Star Regional Airport (Nagoya’s Chubu Centrair Airport) was announced in February 2017.
Skytrax World Airport Rating, introduced in 1999, is the leading international Airport Rating system classifying airports by the Quality of front-line product and service standards. Airport Ratings range from 1-Star through to the prestigious 5-Star Airport ranking.
