QATAR AIRWAYS TRAVEL SUMMARY

First Class : a high quality product on the ground and onboard. At the home base airport of Doha, Qatar Airways offer an exclusive level of service and general passenger handling to First Class customers, using the separate Premium Terminal. This offers a cool and comfortable check in service, from where you proceed upstairs to the luxurious First class lounge area. A restaurant area is available for snacks, meals and wide choice of beverages. For relaxation, there are luxury shower rooms, jacuzzi, as well as various beauty treatments. Several private bedrooms are available for use by transit passengers with longer to spend in the airport. Onboard, First Class offers comfortable flat-bed seats, arranged as both single and pair sets of pods. Excellent inflight entertainment, top quality dining and a very personal and exclusive level of staff service help to make this an unforgettable First class experience.

Business Class : another top quality product and service that is currently being further upgraded by Qatar Airways to offer a more premium standard of service. On the ground, Business class passengers share the Premium Terminal in Doha (described above), and standard of service handling are generally good. Onboard, most aircraft across the Qatar Airways widebody fleet now offer the angled lie-flat seats, arranged in a 2x2x2 layout. Seats are quite comfortable, but not matching the best standard of true flat-beds that some airlines now provide in Business class. Other amenities are of a good standard - quality catering, nicely presented, excellent inflight entertainment and a very efficient and consistent standard of staff service.

Economy Class : long haul the seat comfort is quite satisfactory, offering around 32-33 inch seat pitch, and modern aircraft ensure that seats are generally in a good condition. Onboard catering is of a good standard, again all passengers benefiting from on-demand inflight entertainment across most of the Qatar Airways fleet of aircraft. Staff service is quite efficient, with a multinational selection of cabin staff striving to meet the high standards required of their "5 Star" airline rating.

Inflight Entertainment : across most of the Qatar Airways fleet, passengers in all cabins benefit from the audio and video on demand systems, with a very wide range of movies, tv programmes and other features available. Qatar Airways is also the airline that offers you satellite news programmes across many flights.

Staff Service : an airline with a 5 Star quality rating has a lot to live up to, and Qatar Airways rarely disappoints in this sector. A very multi-national selection of cabin staff generally deliver an efficient, consistent and friendly level of service.

BE AWARE : the home base airport of Doha does not offer airbridges, and therefore all flight arrivals and departures require the bussing of customers to/from the terminal. This will change when the new, state of the art Doha Airport opens in a few years.

VERDICT : a high Quality airline, currently ranked as a 5 Star Quality Certified airline. The airline is renowned for striving to achieve the highest standards of consistency in terms of service and product delivery, and has developed a very substantial band of loyalty through this service quality.
