EVA Air

✅ Trip Verified | Great experience on Eva Air. I travel a lot for work and company policy only allows for PE on long haul. EVA Air was a cut above on this leisure trip from Singapore to Vancouver via Taipei. Seats were very comfortable, the service was super professional and friendly, with the cabin crew very attentive. Some of the key differences over other airlines PE offering, was the supply of a proper and good quality amenity kit by Furla; plus a dedicated bathroom for PE customers. Also the food was really high quality and more like a business class offer than economy. My only criticism would be the IFE entertainment choices in English, which were comparatively limited. All in we had a very comfortable trip, with great service at a very reasonable price. I would travel with them again without hesitation and definitely in preference to Singapore Airlines, where routes allow.

✅ Trip Verified | The seat is uncomfortable and the tray table is unusable if you neighbor in front reclines his seat. Usage of infotainment system is also difficult, since reclined seat in front, will bring the screen very close to your face.

✅ Trip Verified | Outstanding seats, Boeing 777-300 seats are very comfortable and the amenity kit along with the plush bedding, mattress and comforter was perfect for the long haul flight. The new 787 Royal Laurel class seats are very spacious and comfortable as well.

✅ Trip Verified | The experience is better than many North American and European Airlines. The staff are still outstanding and professional. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is excellent. In flight services are all about the passenger and nothing is too much trouble. The seats are comfortable and for a 16 hour plus flight, this is essential. The only problem is that EVA Airlines keep the cabins very warm, to the point of hot. I woke literally soaked through with sweat which is exacerbated by the rules that masks must be worn unless eating. The warm temperature also seems counterintuitive when considering that this temp is ideal for illness but again, it is something that EVA can control. This is a small issue but it affects the comfort of the flight. Apart from that, the airline continues to maintain a strong focus on service.

✅ Trip Verified | This was my tenth time flying on EVA air royal laurel class between Taiwan and US. The seat was really comfortable and provided a decent space for me to rest. The meal was fantastic too. And the cabin crews were friendly and provided excellent service which made it a very comfortable journey.

✅ Trip Verified | I will no longer be flying with them due to the 3-4-3 seat configuration on the Boeing 777. I accept that EVA are not alone in this layout but for a long haul flight the seating is inappropriate. Having paid extra for exit row seating I feel this made little difference and would hate to imagine what the normal seat experience would be.

✅ Trip Verified | I used to travel in premium economy, (about 3 trips to Thailand from London) but now am quite satisfied for the last 3 trips with the EVA Air Boeing 777-300 economy product. Good seat pitch and width compared to BA or Thai.

✅ Trip Verified | I feel the comfort of the seat is good. The seat width is enough, but the distance between front and rear seats may feel tight for people with long legs. The in-flight entertainment system has a Chinese interface, which is very kind to the Chinese.

✅ Trip Verified | My seat was a special Economy Class seat - despite having a 3-4-3 configuration, the last few rows on the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft were in a 2-4-2 configuration. Hence, the seats were more comfortable and there was more aisle space. My seat was an aisle seat, and it was very comfortable with more than enough legroom. Recline was sufficient. The touchscreen was responsive and the tray table was practical. The USB and audio ports were located conveniently below the screen. However, there was only 1 storage compartment, the seatback pouch. It would have been nice to have multiple segmented pouches.

✅ Trip Verified | The 3-4-3 layout on the Boeing 777 packs customers in like sardines. The addition of the one seat results in barely any lateral movement. The seat pitch is about 31". I am only 5'10" (180CM) and do not have long legs, but my knees were up against the seat in front of me. The recline is reduced compared to seating on some airlines.
