Ryanair has joined Facebook

Ryanair officially joined Facebook on 8th July 2015, offering its 100m customers the latest Ryanair route news and developments as they happen, great competitions and offers, and real-time customer service, as it continues to expand its social media presence.

Facebook follows the launch of Ryanair’s Twitter account, which has over 160,000 followers, its YouTube channel (with over 6m video views), Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, and its new blog, ‘Into The Blue’, with further platforms set to follow, as part of the “Always Getting Better” improvement programme.

To celebrate its new Facebook account and 30th birthday, Ryanair has launched a ‘30 Names 30 Planes’ competition, offering 30 fans the chance to have their name and face pictured on one of 30 Ryanair aircraft. Entry is through the Ryanair Facebook page, where fans can upload their photo and download a CGI video of their own Ryanair aircraft bearing their name and face, and the 30 lucky winners will be announced in September.

And to mark its 30th birthday, Ryanair has also released 1 million seats across Europe priced at €19.85 for travel between September and the end of January. These special birthday seats are available for booking on the Ryanair.com website until 24.00hrs on Sunday, 12th July.
