✅ Trip Verified | The Platinum lounge at OR Tambo Johannesburg is great. The staff are very attentive and smiling. The lounge is generally quiet and not very crowded. The food on the buffet is fine, a decent array of choices. There is also food that you can order off the menu which is usually much nicer. A seperate room for watching news/sports or even kids channels is located off the central area and provides a nice getaway that doesnt seem to disturb the rest of the guests. A computer room is available with small meeting rooms for the business travellers.

✅ Trip Verified | This is one of my favorite Star Alliance lounges. The food is very good with excellent variety, coffee made to order, the showers are great (and I've never had to wait, unlike many other SA lounges). Staff are helpful and friendly. It can get crowded at some points in the day, and the wifi has always been spotty, but other than that it's a very comfortable lounge!

✅ Trip Verified | Very pleasantly surprised by this SAA Premium lounge (is used this as a passenger of Ethiopian Airlines), good food selection (loved the lunch buffet), nice wines and other beverages, very friendly bar staff. Seats a bit worn but nice views and like I said, very pleasant stay!

When I arrived OR Tambo Intl Airport, I headed to Baobab lounge to take a shower and take some snack for breakfast. It wasn't so crowded. Wifi worked well. Cleanliness of the lunge was overall good, shower facility was well maintained, the beverage choices were very good. The taste of food was also good. I truly enjoyed the hospitality of staff and well-maintained facility. I recommend you to make full use of it.

South African Airways use the Qantas lounge at Perth. Quite busy late evening, with numerous international departures. Comfortable seating and good wifi. Reasonable drink selection but poor selection of food which was not being replenished. Adequate but nothing special.

South African Airways international arrivals lounge at Johannesburg. After luggage and passing through customs at the JNB airport is the arrivals lounge. It's cosy space and only a handful of users. Various private rooms offering shower facilities. The bathrooms are well appointed. On offer is more snacks than hot food. Refreshments are abundant. It's a perfect place to freshen up, grab a snack and move on to your next place.

We were flying Lufthansa when we used this SAA Baobab Business Class lounge. battled to find seating and when we did went in search of something to drink and a snack. The bar staff were really not interested and it took a long time to get served, (no sparkling water at all) and when we asked for a packet of crisps because they were not on display like they are at every other airline lounge we have been into - the staff dispensed one packet per person and no negotiating for extras! Everything besides the coffee machine appears to be under lock and key. What caliber of people are they allowing into this lounge if they have to dish everything out like children in a playschool? We have traveled to a lot of places and been into a lot of business class lounges and I have never encountered one as bad as this.

Lounge is large and comfortable with a nice view of airport. Wifi is working well. Food choice is good and ranges from salads to hot soup chicken as warm pasta and more. Drinks are served at the bar by the glass for booze and wine. Soft drinks and beers are served in cans. Not much reading material but a decent lounge to relax before a long flight.

No hot water in showers. Waiter who was laying out food dropped cutlery on floor and then without cleaning it put it on table for guests to use.

Pleasant welcome. Had the lounge all to myself - early Sunday morning. Good selection of snacks and drinks. Spacious - comfortable and varied seating with views of the airport runway.
