"won't be coming back"

Poor lounge. Messy tables and bad experience. Depressing and (like others) made me want to go back in to the main terminal area and work there instead. Food was lukewarm and limited. Very naff and dated decor. Struggled to find somewhere to sit on my own and work. Won't be coming back.

"rather like a bus station"

I am writing this review as I sit in the lounge. Door understaffed and young man at desk very obviously nicer to male clients than myself as a solo middle aged woman. Lounge is poorly set up rather like a bus station where too many travellers require seats for their bags and coats. Food selection is the worst I've seen in a lounge. Drinks selection is better but they sure do not hurry to put out the bubbly. The latest empty has been sitting on a counter for a half hour now. In general lots of empties left around to point some travellers are clearing up instead. Wifi works well at least.

"staff dismissive and rude"

Staff on entry to lounge were offhand to the point of being dismissive and rude. Food standards (at 9pm) were very poor and had to find staff in lounge to request that empty plates of sandwiches were replenished - which was eventually done with quite stale and unpalatable sandwiches. The standards in this lounge have continued to fall month after month and it has the air of a canteen that is rather badly managed. Some of the cleaning staff are polite and friendly but as for the rest - they should be ashamed and paying airlines should get the rates reduced. This is certainly not a "premium" lounge any more. The washrooms were not nice either - the floor was disgustingly wet with urine all around the urinals and washbasins were wet messy and poorly maintained. Time to sit in the concourse which is nicer than this poorly managed lounge area. Went to the Qatar Airways lounge here at T4 some weeks ago and this is truly magnificent and makes this SkyTeam lounge look a joke.

"do not recommend the Skyteam lounge"

Having used this lounge previously I thought that food variety and quality would have improved unfortunately it hasn't. Whilst walking around the very poorly stocked food display I asked if there was going to be any further hot choices provided apart from the chocolate crepes I was informed that there would be. I waited and a staff member brought out a plate of potato and onion tortillas of which all but 2 were placed on plates and disappeared into the back with a couple of staff members. The soup that was on offer when I arrived was spirited away by a chef I am still awaiting its return. The cheese is nice and crispy around the edges and the salad has seen better days. Considering the cost of flights and the fact that the lounge is meant to make your travel experience an enjoyable one I for one think that there is something lacking. The soup has returned whether it is fresh or reheated I am unsure as I wasn't quite quick enough to look at the previous offering I do not recommend the Skyteam lounge at Heathrow Terminal 4.

"poor choice of food"

Very basic poor choice of food all left uncovered in reasonably warm ambient temperatures. Lounge staff impotent when asked to sort out boarding pass issue for next leg of flight with KLM. No PC's in lounge for passenger use. Will be avoiding SkyTeam on this route in future.

"pleasant and kept clean"

Lounge which is pleasant and kept clean. There are different areas within the lounge but all are basically chairs and coffee tables though there is a dining area and couple of massage chairs. Two tvs in the lounge (which were not working when I used it with my wife). The food is limited to sandwiches and canapes and chips. Good selection of spirits and soft drinks though only one white and red wine and one type of beer. Bathrooms clean and there are two shower facilities in the gents (I assume the same in the ladies area). Staff very friendly and call each flight.

"terrible staff service"

Staff service was abrupt to the point of being downright rude - no point in complaining in the lounge since it seemed to be rather a common trait amongst 3 of the staff we spoke to. Lounge was very crowded and sat on second floor level where floors were dirty tables still covered in plates used cups etc and the lavatories were filthy. How on earth Skyteam can get away with offering this lounge facility in such a poor condition with such terrible staff service is a mystery. We actually left 50 mins before our flight and walked back to Costa coffee shop - where staff were nicer and the snacks also good (plus they keep the tables clean!). Never again to this T4 lounge.

"a big disappointment"

What could be a fantastic lounge is a big disappointment. Good location great views and plenty of space. Decor very dated. A few computers some old news papers and in-flight magazines complete the offer of entertainment. The hostess upon entering seems to always be in personal phone conversation and the bar staff is unfriendly and lazy. No food except for some sad nibbles drinks self service coffee from an instant machine. I arrived at the lounge at 10:30 when it was empty and left around 12:30 when it was fairly full. By that time the place was filled with dirty glasses and trash and the staff had made no effort whatsoever to clean.

The Skyteam lounge in Terminal 4 has a modern design and offers many different areas. The "green wall' with plants is great as well as the wine and champagne area. It offers a wide choice of food cold and hot as well as a great selection of newspapers in many languages. Reception desk staff was very friendly and polite.

"awful horrible place"

Awful horrible plastic cafe sort of place used now by Gulf Air following their move from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4. Was packed everything involved a queue (e.g. 5 minutes to enter; 5+ minutes to get a cup of coffee at the "cute but oh-so-slow" espresso/cappuchino coffee machine). The food bar had no forks (all had been used) for at least 25 minutes despite staff milling about (and chatting with each other plenty). No call service for airlines (hence had to join Gulf Air's uncontrolled mob at boarding time). Basically was glad to leave the place - will try hard to avoid it in future.
