"no simple breakfast offerings"
P Malson (Thailand)
✅ Trip Verified | Very crowded, with no simple breakfast offerings, (at 8 am), as Curry Rice or Pasta are not really my thing at that time of day. No knives to butter the croissant, but butter knives produced after asking. This was the Business class lounge on the 4/F. Found the one on 5/F to be better organised, and less busy.

"lounge itself was nothing special"
S Perten (Australia)
✅ Trip Verified | I was looking forward to this lounge after reading about it on JAL's website. What a disappointment. The lounge itself was nothing special and not up to first class standard. Food can only be ordered by app that needs to be downloaded. That caused huge problems but a very helpful and patient English speaking staff member assisted. After 20 minutes she couldn't even get the app to work went away to get a printed menu which allegedly doesn't exist. 10 minutes later I got the app to work. The food is disappointing and does not live up to the hype on the website. Plus it's hard to identify what you are actually getting from the tiny thumbnail pics on the app. I had intended to eat my evening meal here before boarding the overnight flight to Sydney so I could sleep on the aircraft but this didn't happen. I hardly ate anything other than a few pieces of sushi, but definitely not enough to get me through the log haul flight back home. Just before boarding I noticed passengers eating plates of fresh chicken salad and udon that I hadn't found on the menu. It was too late to order anything else by then. As boarding at Haneda was by bus and a total shambles (flight nearly 1 hour late departing due to a shortage of buses) it's a huge failing that the lounge doesn't notify their premium passengers so they can have a realistic time for going down to the gate. This was consistent with all my travel on JAL where information was minimal to non existent.

"Club Seattle is a poor lounge"
1 reviews Paul Spencer (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | The Club Seattle is a poor lounge. Dirty. Not a biz class lounge by any standards. Next time I will just eat at one of the restaurants in the airport and skip this disgrace. Food was bad, restrooms are like a public toilet, drinks are served by surly staff.

"really needs a renovation"
47 reviews P Huang (Australia)
✅ Trip Verified | A fairly good size lounge but it lacked the premium feel. The space had four section from dining to relaxation taken care of by the attentive and friendly Staff. The drinks department was very good, but the food really lacked choices. Overall the experience was warming but the Lounge really needs a renovation to keep up with customer satisfaction.

"no longer a pleasant experience"
M Storthet (United Kingdom)
✅ Verified Review | Used this lounge when flying on British Airways. Tokyo Narita Terminal 2 JAL lounge in November 2017. Plenty of seating space, quiet, clean. A more than disappointing buffet - limited choice of foods - pastries dried to the point of being uneatable, slow and spotty wifi. I can say that the lounge experience including the services has slowly been dropping and is no longer a pleasant experience.

"quite disappointed with this lounge"
7 reviews A McNicol (Australia)
✅ Verified Review | After reading previous reviews we were quite disappointed with this lounge. After presenting our Malaysian Airlines business class boarding passes the entry staff managed the barest of nods, no smile or words of welcome. At 8.00am on a Sunday morning the upstairs dining area was full and a sign warned of extended delays. We went up anyway and did find a table for two but after viewing what was left in the self serve food areas wondered why we bothered! Most food trays were empty or well picked over with many people waiting for more that did not appear whilst we had a coffee and minimal food. Back downstairs was comparatively quiet but only a biscuit to eat. The lounge certainly looks good and the toilets the best I have seen in a lounge but it did not deliver in terms of warmth of welcome or food offerings.

"One of the nicest lounges"
4 reviews C Leventis (Greece)
✅ Verified Review | I used Japan Airlines Business Lounge as a passenger on Qatar Airways. Great big lounge with two floors to enjoy. Lovely food on offer with good choice of seating and drinks, lovely washrooms and showers and also nice massage chairs. The staff are friendly and very attentive. One of the nicest lounges I have been in lately.

"it was very substandard"
Jason Brooks (United Kingdom)
Used this Japan Airlines lounge as a British Airways customer. A fairly limited lounge which is mainly style over substance. On the positive it seems to have enough seating and space. However, the food is an extremely poor selection for a first lounge and not of great quality. The chef being at the station does not coincide with lounge opening times which gives an even more limited food selection. In general the staff are very good but the front desk could do with more training due to one second talking to me and then one of their colleagues and then switching back, then directing wrong way etc. Compared to other Japanese service I've received at things like train stations/hotel receptions it was very substandard.

"don't even bother going"
J Rose (Australia)
The Sakura lounge at Shanghai Pudong airport is absolutely dreadful, don't even bother going. A dated, cramped lounge, awful food and dysfunctional wifi. Much better off and much more comfortable hanging out in the terminal area. It is embarrassing the JAL and OneWorld can't do better than this in a major airport like PVG.

"I would not revisit this lounge"
Vincent Vanderbent (United States)
The SFO Sakura Lounge appears to provide a very basic experience for JAL customers. Seating is in simple yet comfortable, cushioned chairs aligned in rows. Food options are simple. Temperature in the lounge was OK albeit it a bit stuffy. I left as soon as the lounge started to fill up with passengers for the JL001 flight because the gate area seemed to have better air. Comfort wise I would not revisit this lounge again.
