"Very enjoyable lounge"
1 reviews D Cordan (Hungary)
✅ Trip Verified | Very enjoyable lounge for a very long layover! Food selection was great and varied throughout the day. Seats were comfortable with both sofas and tables available with power points easily accessible (regular universal power outlet, no USB). Staff friendly and very attentive at clearing away and helping out if necessary. Internet was easily accessed and very quick and reliable. Bathrooms were clean and showers were very appreciated - there are 2 in this lounge and sometimes you need to book up to 30 minutes before, especially during the peak times (early morning 6-9am and evening 5-9pm). Unfortunately the 2 small 'sleeping rooms' in this lounge had the lounge music way too loud and announcements also played in this room making it impossible to actually sleep! These rooms were also very cold. Almost better off trying to nap in the actual lounge itself than these rooms. They also make far too many announcements in the lounge about delays or gate changes, especially when my small delay of 20 minutes was communicated via text, email and the lounge attendant even came and found my personally to let me know! These announcements affected the relaxed atmosphere. TIP: I also visited the China Airlines lounge on the B side in Terminal 1 and another in Terminal 2 and this A side lounge in T1 definitely seemed the best of the 3!

"lounge is crowded as usual"
9 reviews G Tan (United Kingdom)
✅ Trip Verified | I used the flagship CI lounge once every few months. On my last visit (end of June) the lounge is crowded as usual. On two occasions after a long haul flight I was told that the queue for the shower rooms (there are only three cubic) was more than an hour. The lounge is very dark without natural light. The shower rooms were also very dark and not well designed - water pressure wasn't great and the amenities provided were very cheap. No body lotion was offered. In the main lounge the reading materials provided were not up to standard so were the food and drink.

"have enjoyed my visit here"
24 reviews Francis Wong (Hong Kong)
✅ Verified Review | This lounge is located in terminal 2, and is fairly nicely designed with a Chinese theme, subtle and elegant. At 5pm it was not crowded and an oasis of calm and peace. Some of the seats overlooking the seats overlooking the tarmac. Food wise, the offering is not big, but consider the small amount of passengers they are serving, it was sufficient. Good selections of drinks and reading material. I have enjoyed my visit here.

"Very attentive staff"
25 reviews J Rahawatan (United Kingdom)
✅ Verified Review | Emirates use the China Airlines Lounge at Taoyuan Airport. I was pleasantly surprised by the quiet atmosphere, low lighting and decor of the lounge. However, some passengers and myself were a bit lost finding our way to the washrooms, as the signage seem to blend into decor colours making it difficult to read and spot easily. Fantastic food and the Noodle Bar offered me the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup as a pleasant farewell to my visit to Taipei. Very attentive staff, quietly clearing after you've finished your food or drink.

"very satisfied with this lounge"
2 reviews Peng Xie (Spain)
One of the best Lounges I've visited, nice entrance, warm lights in the lounge, nice rest area, shower room is ok. The food and beverage is quite good and variety. I think the lounge looks very luxurious, comfortable seating area and eating area. It's decorated with good taste. The wifi is running quite fast. Very satisfied with this lounge.

"was utterly depressing"
Brian Smith (Japan)
This lounge at Honolulu was a complete travesty! It had an awful, musty, moldy smell with powerfully cold air conditioning that hit me upon entry. Once checked in, I found that the size was that of a typical living room. The food on offer was all things purchased at Costco or some discount warehouse with the exception of finger sandwiches. The drinks in the cooler were frozen on the top shelf. The food was meant to be eaten on styrofoam bowls, not even plates. It was utterly depressing. It is the most memorable and disappointing lounges I've ever had the misfortune to enter.

"paltry selection of food"
Streb Lovell (Taiwan)
This is not China Airlines lounges, but a handling agent lounge - it was marred by a number of crying babies and paltry selection of food. Sad lack of vegetables, fruit or meats here. Beverage selection was OK. The staff doesn't seem to actively take care of its customers.

"worst business class lounge"
Arlene Ripley (United States)
What a disappointment to be sent to this China Airlines lounge at Taipei Terminal 2 (4D)! Worst business class lounge we have encountered. If you want food, computer use or bathroom, then you get to walk down a flight of stairs - no elevator for the handicapped or elderly. The dungeon-like lounge consists of rows of upholstered chairs and small tables, with stains obvious on some of the upholstery. The food offered is marginal and unappealing, even the Asian folks were leaving large amounts of uneaten food on their plates. You'd do better by buying a meal in the terminal. The women's bathroom was dated with chipped and cracked counter and flooring. The electronic toilet with the pop-up lid didn't pop up. Not at all impressed with anything about this lounge or China Airlines. Will use another carrier for future trips if this is an example of the amenities they offer.

"lounge is a waste of time"
P Rigby (Australia)
Terrible lounge in Terminal 2, TPE. This is one of two China Airlines lounges in T2: the better one is reserved for CI passengers, everyone else from Skyteam airlines gets shunted into the other, a 2 level airless, windowless dungeon-like facility, offering extremely limited, low quality food options. On this spring evening the lounge was plagued with mosquitos and a staff member was wandering around trying to kill them with what looked like a badminton bat. Not much reciprocity from China Airlines as its own frequent flyers get access to the far better lounges of the other Skyteam members (maybe Delta excluded). Using this lounge is a waste of time: much better food in the paid outlets.

"a comfortable lounge"
24 reviews Francis Wong (Hong Kong)
The newly designed Dynasty lounge is spacious, lots of food choices and is chic with lots of mood lighting, use of dark coloured wood and stones. It is a comfortable lounge to spend an hour or two, bathroom and showers are plenty and clean. It was a joy to come here and relax. Please note that the lounge in terminal 2 is totally different to this one in T1, this one is more sensational.
