"lounge looked like a school cafeteria"
Wade Terwilliger (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | I tried to recall why I never fly American but was reminded when I entered the Admirals Club. I presented my first class ticket and the agent said “ why do you think you have access to this club”. I stated that I thought my ticket allowed for it. I was informed that only on international travel. I asked if they had a daily rate and proceeded to pay with my platinum american express. The agent couldn't have been more rude or irritated. The lounge looked like a school cafeteria. I have no problem with their policies and I am happy to pay for extra services. American Airlines… you dont beat your competition with rude associates and doing things on the cheap. Now I recall why I dont travel with American.

"was denied entry2
1 reviews S Deane (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | First Class ticket in hand and over one Million Miles flown, I proceeded to the Admirals Lounge and was denied entry and told only if you pay the $450 fee and get their credit card would you gain access. My First Class Ticket meant nothing to the Staff or American Airlines My million miles flown Status means nothing to the staff or American Airlines. So I went to the B gate Admirals club just to double check if what I actually heard is true. I approached the lady at the desk and said I just want to confirm two things please. I am not looking to argue I just want to make sure I am correct in two things as I will write a review later. Can you please a confirm to me that my First Class ticket and my million mile status mean nothing to American Airlines in regards to gaining access to this lounge. She eventually confirmed what I said after trying to argue with me and tell me all the merits of buying the credit card etc. When I kept explaining to her “ I know it’s not your fault but I just want to confirm two things for my review”. And she kept on arguing and I finally had to tell her - you can write your review but I just need to confirm this. So I was harassed and badgered even just trying to get the facts straight after being told to go for a long walk and your million miles flown and First Class ticket neither matter at All to American Airlines To Add insults to Injury during the flight instead of 20 minutes into the flight or 20 minutes before landing— nope right in the middle about an hour 20 min from landing when half the plane was asleep they broke in for an almost two minute sales job of the Credit Card and bonus miles etc etc etc. American Airlines has become horrific and I will use up my miles but not be giving them anymore of my hard earned money.

"They really cannot get it right"
2 reviews Derek Northcutt (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | They really cannot get it right: lounge had no soft drinks and very little to eat. Electricity at my seat not available so had to go looking for a functioning place to sit. Theirs is an unlawful trust and it should be broken by our government.

"great place to while away time"
10 reviews Neil Jeram (Australia)
✅ Trip Verified | The AA Flagship lounge at Dallas Ft Worth, Terminal D, caters for Qantas frequent flyers. Its a lounge that I have visited often. This was no different to earlier visits. Its a great place to while away time as it overlooks the apron and runways so a great view of all outside activities. Now one thing that is simply a fact of the physical layout. It is long, long and thin! If sat near the farthest end then its a mighty fine trek to the restaurant area. But this is a first world problem. The showers are good, F & B was fine. Looking forward to freshly made tacos but this time were serving chicken curry. The lounge was not too busy and plenty of space for all. DFW is a busy airport so quick turnover of passengers. Of all the AA Flagship lounges I have visited (DFW, JFK, LAX and Miami) this is the best one particularly with the lighting (natural) and views. A very nice place to visit.

"Just a waste of time"
12 reviews Mike Andrésen (Sweden)
✅ Trip Verified | Admirals Club at Miami Airport. Why bother!?!? Just a waste of time. Week coffee, no food except some fruit and bagels unless you pay for it. And with what AA serves as breakfast it's understandable.

"alcohol drinks less than generous"
W Gealen (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | So, it's my understanding that the terminal A at Philadelphia Flagship lounge still isn't available as it's under construction OR being remodeled I suppose. This one, the B/C terminal's connector (they call it) is about the next best choice at the Philadelphia airport for American Airlines. It's an Admiral's Club lounge (like the level below the Flagship one). I can tell you they've changed in the level of services and what you actually get. The food's less appealing and the alcohol drinks less than generous. That being said, this lounge had these sweets if you like that sort of thing. The brownie bits were delicious. Chocolate chip cookies next to these. They also had some raw veggies and like a house salad you could make on your own (it costs them almost nothing). There was this hot chicken tortilla soup as well. There was a fancy looking coffee, espresso, cappuccino machine nearby. It had looked like it would make a decent cup. The bottled fresh spring water is gone! They have a at the bar, a tap water tank dispenser you could fill up your water glass. It had used to be that you could get the premium brands for no additional charges! Now you get 2 coupons which equated to my AA boarding pass. It's how the bartender supposedly keeps a tally on your limit of two drinks. He enters it in his computer register. Anything else, and you can have the free poor house wine or maybe a well drink. All in all, it was a spacious, decent and comfortable lounge. At peak flight times, it can get busy so claim your seat stake near the bigger windows. Especially if you wanted to plug in and recharge your devices. They need many more electrical outlets as those ones are by the table lamps. Staff is fairly attentive. They roam around bugging you, asking to see if you had wanted your obvious empty plate or glass taken away!

"comfortable business class lounge"
H Bealen (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | This is an updated lounge from when I can remember in the 1990's, 2000's traveling extensively throughout Europe. The food is good. The staff's friendly enough and nice. They have freshly made hot food like scrambled eggs, and there is cold fresh meats, fruits, a nice espresso coffee machine, tap fountain water (still or bubbly), alcoholic drinks, juices, and soda's in a see through refrigerator. Plenty of electrical outlets for ANY plug type you might imagine necessary for a connection. Newspapers like the NYT, Le Monde, etc. All in all this is a good, comfortable business class lounge in terminal 2A after you pass through the MAIN CDG duty free shopping.

"was refused entry"
Derek Northcutt (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | There is just something wrong with the staff here at this lounge. Last May I stopped in -- as an Alaska Airlines lounge member I get reciprocal visit rights with the Admirals Clubs as long as I fly on AA or AS the same day. I met those conditions yet was refused entry because their boarding pass scanner didn't recognise my boarding pass and all American Airlines employes do only what the computer tells them to do (I thought computers were out tools -- at AA it seems humans are only employed because they have hands that can manipulate the computer). As a consolation, I was told "maybe they'll let you in in London (they did)." To-day at least they let me in. I asked a swarthy boy at the desk to verify my AS number was properly recorded in the pnr but instead he just looked at the boarding pass and told me my AA number was recorded. I explained to him again slowly why I was asking the question and he accused me several times of being rude. Perhaps I was -- isn't it irritating when a clerk doesn't consider what you say important enough to listen to you? I felt like telling him I'm sorry since I am a member of the Admirals Clubs just to be of service to him. He wouldn't have understood -- abrasive people can take it but are very fragile when you bark back at them.

"a great place to be"
5 reviews J Mears (Australia)
✅ Trip Verified | This lounge had been closed for over a year so pleased to see it open. Its in the same spot overlooking the airfield but has been extended. A great buffet plus also a taco bar. Downsides? The food was occasionally a bit dry sitting on a warming plate but small thing. Plus also, when will the US get some decent coffee instead of the brown liquid that they call coffee. A barista please. Washrooms were immaculate and overall a great place to be.
