Not Verified | On August 17th 2023 flight number AA5594 arrived in Charlotte on time flight crew perfect 10 we went to the Admirals Club and were told it was at capacity and denied access. The staff on duty today were very rude and not customer friendly, this is unacceptable based on paying for this service. I feel there is a need for some additional customer service training. I asked if there was a call list, the answer I received was why should we have to look for you just keep coming back to check. The persons facial expressions and tone of voice was that of a person trying prove his superiority of over the customers, by far very bad for customer relations. We will be asking for a refund and never will use American Airlines again .

"The lounge was wonderful"

✅ Trip Verified | I had an unexpected 4 1/2 hour delay in DC on my way home to Cincinnati. (Flights were a mess due to fog.) Rather than trying to find a seat in the overcrowded gate house (due to delays), I paid for a day pass for the American E Lounge. It was the best decision that I made for the day that I had no control of! The lounge was wonderful with plenty of room, business friendly, wonderful food options, and the most attentive staff. I have to give extra thanks to bartenders Tiana and William who were so cordial to all of the frustrated travelers that came to the E lounge bar. Their service was above and beyond…everyone was served promptly and with a genuine smile! It was so very appreciated by everyone that they served. Tiana and William are the best!

✅ Trip Verified | Lounge feels a little cramped and has limited choices but staff is nice and crowd reasonable. And if I compare to the crowding challenges faced with Delta Skyclubs, it is a refreshing experience. Espresso machine was out of service but regular coffee was available. What remains a mastery is the difficulty to access the lounge Internet access at Admiral Clubs … faced the problem At multiple Admiral Clubs where it takes forever to get the authentication page.

✅ Trip Verified | American Airlines Flagship Lounge opposite Gate D30 in Miami International. Having been in various US airport lounges before was not expecting that much, but we were actually very impressed: comfortable, spacious (good views over one of the runways) and quiet with lots of available seating. Good choice of beers, wines and spirits along with soft drink and hot drink options. Good choice of food options: at least 3 hot food choices and a counter where a chef would also serve whatever they had prepared, and a nice selection of cold meats and chesses with salads and fresh breads. Business section where you could catch up on work etc. Nice area to while away the time before your flight, and would recommend. Should have got here earlier to take full advantage.

✅ Trip Verified | I am writing this review to acknowledge the level of kindness and dedication I received from American Airlines employees. I was flying from Doha to Nashville through JFK. My first 14.5- hour flight landed late at 9:30 am. I missed my connection in JFK. The next flight to Nashville is at 7 pm. There was nothing I could do, I wanted to take a shower and lay down for a couple of hours. Even though AA has no responsibility about the missed connection they went out of their way to help me. Sandra who sits at the VIP counter club with incredible grace worked so hard to find me an earlier flight but there was nothing available. Nevertheless, she was incredibly sympathetic and helpful. Thank you Sandra. AA should be proud to have you.

✅ Trip Verified | The only saving grace was the lovely attentive staff. The food and drink offerings were pathetic and truly terrible. The food tasted like it had already been re heated twice and was inedible. The drink choices were poor and the only cream for coffee was fake cream. Inexcusable. The staff seemed embarrassed, I felt bad for them. The Covid excuse doesn’t fly anymore. AA let your great staff be proud of what they offer and make your customers feel valued

✅ Trip Verified | I was very excited to check out the new DFW Admirals Club in Terminal E. However, very disappointed. The food bar with the hummus, dressing and dips appeared to be sitting out so long they had crust on the top of them and around the edges. Nothing looked like it was attended to in quite a while. Afraid to eat anything I didn't want to get food poisoning. I actually put on gloves and lifted silver bowls that hummus was in. Room temperature not good! Plan B “Soup” it was crusted and separated. It was so disgusting I grabbed a piece of fruit and went to my gate. Attendant did stir things a little but didn't rotate things out or offer to get me something fresh. Very disappointed!

✅ Trip Verified | I tried to recall why I never fly American but was reminded when I entered the Admirals Club. I presented my first class ticket and the agent said “ why do you think you have access to this club”. I stated that I thought my ticket allowed for it. I was informed that only on international travel. I asked if they had a daily rate and proceeded to pay with my platinum american express. The agent couldn't have been more rude or irritated. The lounge looked like a school cafeteria. I have no problem with their policies and I am happy to pay for extra services. American Airlines… you dont beat your competition with rude associates and doing things on the cheap. Now I recall why I dont travel with American.

✅ Trip Verified | First Class ticket in hand and over one Million Miles flown, I proceeded to the Admirals Lounge and was denied entry and told only if you pay the $450 fee and get their credit card would you gain access. My First Class Ticket meant nothing to the Staff or American Airlines My million miles flown Status means nothing to the staff or American Airlines. So I went to the B gate Admirals club just to double check if what I actually heard is true. I approached the lady at the desk and said I just want to confirm two things please. I am not looking to argue I just want to make sure I am correct in two things as I will write a review later. Can you please a confirm to me that my First Class ticket and my million mile status mean nothing to American Airlines in regards to gaining access to this lounge. She eventually confirmed what I said after trying to argue with me and tell me all the merits of buying the credit card etc. When I kept explaining to her “ I know it’s not your fault but I just want to confirm two things for my review”. And she kept on arguing and I finally had to tell her - you can write your review but I just need to confirm this. So I was harassed and badgered even just trying to get the facts straight after being told to go for a long walk and your million miles flown and First Class ticket neither matter at All to American Airlines To Add insults to Injury during the flight instead of 20 minutes into the flight or 20 minutes before landing— nope right in the middle about an hour 20 min from landing when half the plane was asleep they broke in for an almost two minute sales job of the Credit Card and bonus miles etc etc etc. American Airlines has become horrific and I will use up my miles but not be giving them anymore of my hard earned money.
