"a very interesting experience"

✅ Verified Review | Zaporizhia airport (Ukraine) is probably the most original and exotic airport I flew to and from. The airport serves a million people city, and is unbelievabely small. It did not see any main restructuration and reconstruction since the middle of soviet era, and this airport is a real step back in times (but it will change by 2020). I have nothing bad to say about this airport, because it is impossible to compare with european standards. The terminal consist in a small building, where everything is included into a very small space. It deserves a visit. Landing in Zaporizhia is landing in the 50's. You walk to the terminal from the aircraft, then you pick up your lugguage straight on the tractor (no conveyor). For check-in, you also bring you baggage straight to the tractor because there is no conveyor as well. Then, there is a very small cafe, and a unique passport control, and you arrive in a waiting room that you've never seen before. To go to the plane, you walk down outside stairs, and walk to your aircraft again. A very interesting experience!
