"he was trying to get money from them"
Daniela Barrera (Chile)
Not Verified | When I arrived at the airport on August 3rd, 2022 (flight FN 8506) one officer stopped me and asked me for the Payment Confirmation of my Visa, I showed to him on my phone and he said that was not valid if was not printed and I had to pay it again. Finally I didn´t pay but when I asked others they said that he was trying to get money from them too.

"Excellent small airport"
Ravi Mene (United Kingdom)
Not Verified | Excellent small airport which is newly built, few flights in the afternoon when it is at its busiest! It is located way out of town hence you need to have pre booked transport to reach the town as no public transport is available. The building is air conditioned which is a relief from searing heat. The washrooms needed a bit of TLC. The shopping was expensive as is the case at any international airport. Food options are plenty. Aircraft turn around time is quick. Overall a good airport. WiFi is free for one hour.

"impressed with the pleasant surroundings"
7 reviews G Torres (Philippines)
✅ Trip Verified | Victoria Falls boasts a nice, new terminal building that is uncluttered and pleasant. I arrived for a flight to Addis Ababa and was immediately impressed with the pleasant surroundings of the terminal and its air conditioned comfort. Check in procedures were swiftly handled and passengers then move on to clear security and immigration, which are straight forward, save for the fact that one has to deal with the nuisance of removing his shoes at security. Following security, one takes an elevator up to the departure level where there a number of shops - very expensive shops - and food outlets. All of these were clean and presentable. Restroom facilities were well-maintained and clean. Boarding was accomplished via an air bridge directly into the plane. Surprisingly, Victoria Falls International Airport is very straight forward and easy to negotiate. Staff are friendly and helpful. I feel that anyone traveling through Victoria Falls airport will have no difficulties or issues.

Victoria Falls Airport customer review
Derek Salter (South Africa)
Small airport and rather run down but being refurbished with new buildings and new runway to take bigger planes. Walk to terminal. Staff very helpful. Best to be at front of plane if you need to purchase Visa as can take a time. Need to pre-book transfers to hotels as a long way out of town and no public transport. Check in easy although staff seem unable to book people or their baggage onto connecting flights so if going via Johannesburg you will have to enter the country via Immigration collect bags clear customs and recheck them at the International desks and then go through security and Immigration again! Can take 90mins so allow time for that to happen. Departure lounge basic and small no lounge for premium customers. A few shops and one bar. Short walk to plane on the airport.

It is a small airport located about 20km from the town. No public transport so you will have to arrange your own private transport. If you require a visa to enter the country be prepared for a long line. There are only a couple of shops landside none airside. The departure hall is small and dark with a small cafe-bar.

Quite small with no cover if it's raining. If it's an option make sure you have your visa organized in advance otherwise expect to wait a while in the cramped arrivals area with no fans or air conditioning. Luggage is simply left on the floor. The entire airport is out-dated but most people coming here would expect that.

A very small airport no airways you walk on the tarmac to the terminal if (like most people) you need to buy a visa there is a line manned by only 2 people and no organization at all then the customs man grunts at you or makes you open everything!! but then you are out and in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
