I give two comments on E gates for International destinations. No "Priority Security Clearance" Service on Sunday. I am E50K. I visited YYZ on Sun 3 May 2015. I looked for entrance of priority Security clearance. There was an entrance but it was closed. I hope I can use the priority security clearance lane on Sunday. E gate is very far from airport-shuttle station.

Transited through YYZ (USA to International). What started off as unpromising turned out to be quite lovely. Long walk from F gate to passport control. Once through passport control I found a long bare corridor with no services. Headed down the corridor to E gates and found a spacious airy section of the airport. Free Wi-Fi with free use of their iPads. Maple Leaf Lounge large and comfortable.

Absolutely terrible experience - the worst we've ever had and this is from a couple who between them have experienced the horrors of JFK LAX Heathrow Chicago O'Hare and Atlanta. Travelling from the UK to Toronto on arrival we were corralled like farm animals into a queue of 400-500 people in the non-Canadian passport line. It took two hours in baking heat to get to the head of the line at which point the drones in yellow waistcoats who couldn't care less about what was going on started sending people to all the wrong security desks and then just gazing blandly past you when you asked what was going on and why they were doing this. They ignored anyone who asked any sort of questions and one even turned away and said under his breath in a sarcastic tone "Welcome to Canada". Even the security officials were getting angry at the yellow shirts for their total ineptness. Once we were finally freed from this hell we arrived in the baggage claim to find all the carousels had been moved on to the next incoming flights and all the bags of the hundreds of poor souls who had been trapped in the mayhem had been piled in heaps with no indication which pile belonged to which flight. When we located out bags and finally got outside we were well over our time for our car pickup. The lack of basic respect the staff of this airport have for the people forced to travel through their place of work is staggering.

If you switch from domestic to international fight (and v.v) you should know you need to change terminals. This is not obvious. The signs to the train platform are confusing and might bring you to the parking lot. No signs on the platform which side to board a train. You need to wait for electronic info above the doors. Horrible security (multiple checkpoints) and often having to re-claim luggage and re-label them for end destination when they already may have been labelled to the correct destination at point of departure. Empty information boots. Rude security officers. No chance to shop tax free after being rushed to security after flying in. Long walks. How in the world do people with disabilities make it through this airport? They could improve so much. Color coding Gates and Terminals so that you know which gate is at which terminal and better indications to train platform.

Connecting to a domestic Canadian flight from an American carrier through Pearson airport. We landed from San Fran went through customs picked up our luggage then had to leave from behind a secure area to one again go through security to get our domestic connection. Why? Our connection time was short we missed our flight. My point we were already behind a secure area. Had gone through security in the US multiple times. So why did we have to leave and go through security again? With all the hold ups entailed. Does not make sense unless one wants to tax security staff needlessly.

It is not a good airport due to: 1) Poor facilities. 2) Long waiting time to claim baggage lost. 3) Rude staff.

Used Toronto Pearson to travel from Heathrow to Tampa in Florida on 26th March 2015. Terrible experience. Left 3.5 hours for transfer and made it only by running for flight and we were just about let on the plane. There are absolutely dreadful delays going through US customs. We stood in the queue for 2 hours and 20 minutes a ing negotiated the slightly confusing transfer lines. Staff here are clearly frustrated by US lack of staff. The US border control guy was miserable and appeared bored. They were letting people through dependent upon what time their connecting flight left. Security is very busy as well and only by explaining our predicament to a security officer who put as at the front of the line of hand luggage scanning we only just made our Tampa flight. Having had nothing to eat or drink. Would not use again.

Simple transit involved waiting 50 minutes to collect bag and 2 hours security queuing to get airside again - yes 2 hours. They are understaffed and those staff are poorly allocated. Would talk about duty free and restaurants but didn't have time to visit. The airport is an exercise in incompetence.

Let me add my voice to the many here complaining about the new process for U.S. flights at terminal 1 (Not sure if the same issue exists at terminal 3 but I expect it does). My wife and I had an early morning flight to Houston and arrived almost 3 hours prior to our flight time (as we have always done in the past). No time for breakfast at the hotel since we were very early. We expected to be through check in security and U.S. customs in plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast and shopping prior to boarding. Imagine our surprise when we printed our luggage tags then were told we had to trek with all of our luggage down to the far end of the terminal. There we were kept in a waiting area with no restaurant or anything other than a vending machine until less than one hour before our flight was scheduled to leave. At this point we were ushered in and marched halfway back down the terminal where we joined a long line to use the "convenient" terminals. This process took a while. Then into another line to hand over our printed ticket then finally check our baggage and went to security. We finally got through security less than one half hour prior to our scheduled flight time. No time to eat or relax just rush right onto the plane. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had flying out of Pearson. I advise anyone flying to the U.S. to fly from somewhere else! What's the point in arriving early only to sit until they finally decide to let you go through? I guess if you have NEXUS or fly business class you can go through right away. This does not apply with the majority of travelers however. I hope they do something about this ridiculous bottle neck situation or I will never fly to the U.S. out of Pearson again!

We had to return from Trinidad to Toronto by Caribbean Airlines sooner than expected as my husband was not well so I asked the Purser to arrange for us to de-plane first on wheelchairs. We did get off first but then was left in a crowd of 6 people all in wheelchairs with 2 people to push all of us. This has happened time after time whenever we travel with wheelchair access at Pearson and it is just ridiculous that they cannot hire the sufficient amount of porters to wheel all the passengers in a reasonable amount of time. When we were leaving for Trinidad they came so late with the wheelchairs to take us to the departure lounge that we had to board immediately and did not have time to eat anything. My husband is a diabetic so as soon as we boarded I had to ask the Purser again for something sweet so his blood sugar wouldn't go low. It is torture to travel by wheelchair when leaving from Pearson Airport as they are so disorganized.
