✅ Trip Verified | I arrived at Pearson International Terminal 3 from a flight from Amsterdam. Arrivals hall and customs, while busy, seemed to be fairly efficient and timely. After that things went downhill. I found the signage and information available to me to navigate through a seldom-visited airport from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 was sketchy at best and missing at worst. Very poor signage to get to the Terminal train, although I found it after much searching. Then, a wait of 3.5 hours to get on the next plate to Vancouver, only to be on-board for an extra 1.5 hours waiting for a baggage/ freight problem. Upon arrival, my one checked suitcase did not arrive. This is totally unacceptable - for a bag to not make it from Terminal 3 to 1 in that length of time. Baggage services in Vancouver were helpful in setting up a delayed luggage ticket BUT the conversation led me to believe that this is a common occurrence with Toronto connections. I would rate Toronto Pearson at best a 3 out of 10 for performance.

Not Verified | Departure was acceptable. Arrival was not. Poor signage, arrival area congested and people milling around all over. Poor instructions on E gates. Many CBSA people stood around watching the shambles, but making little attempt to help. Baggage handling slow and baggage hall another shambles. Announcements almost unintelligible. As Canadas major hub this airport is a disgrace. Will find an alternate in future rather than endure this again.

Not Verified | This airport has gone down hill, my husband and I have travelled 5 times to Toronto airport, and this will be last time. The staff walk about with a chip on there shoulders, no one wants to help or they haven’t got a clue where’s where and what’s what, do they get training? We were told to go to two different terminals to fly to North Bay, it was the hotel receptionist who helped us in the end. Also when we were due to fly home, we sat in departure lounge watching the computer for our scheduled flight, which was utter rubbish, and to realise the flight had put out a last call which clearly we didn’t hear. As we was boarding two of the staff were very aggressive to my husband and I saying we were holding the flight up. We will never fly to Toronto airport again. Also I was disgusted how some of the elderly were spoken too as well, no respect. The management need to get a grip and look into all the reviews and take a good luck at the useless staff before something drastic happens.

Not Verified | This is the worst airport I have every experienced and I have travelled all over the world, if you don’t have to depart or make a connection don’t, worst ever and I am a Canadian. Pure chaos’s unorganized, 20 person line up to bathroom, no where to have a drink and eat everything full and if you complain no one cares. Will pay way more money so I don’t have to experience this again, you will have regrets.

✅ Trip Verified | We are expats with my husband and live in Costa Rica. We booked air Canada flights from SJO to Amsterdam with a layover at Toronto Pearson airport. On arrival the walkways were out of order and we had to walk the long distance to connections with very confusing direct oaks. A trolley caught up with us and gave us a ride. The airport is run down, dirty, no soap in sink dispensers, littered and not presentable for such a big hub. Not enough personnel obviously. The airport has gone down in quality and service.

Not Verified | On the evening of August 28 we had to wait an hour before baggage from our flight from California started arriving. When we finally picked up our luggage we called our son, who was waiting at the cell phone parking lot, to come meet us at the curb. When we came out of the airport to meet our son, we were greeted by a huge mess. Cars were double parked at the pick-up zone in such a manner that cars had to squeeze by in the far lane. Security personnel seemed to be untrained as to how to deal with the mess trey had allowed. The security did not once ask the parked cars to move from there during the 20 minutes it took for our son to finally inch up to our waiting point at Zone C/D. It was just as though we had stepped into a third world airport facility. What happened to the security who were on top of every car that tried to stop and wait for passengers? It was a total disgrace.

"rundown and antiquated"

Not Verified | I am from Canada, but live in the states, it’s sad, but this airport is really rundown and antiquated, there are not enough toilets or urinals in the bathroom, and they’re very dirty. On average each bathroom has two toilets and two urinals. After exiting our aircraft from San Diego, there wasn’t a bathroom anywhere between the gate where we arrive until after clearing customs. The lounge chairs are rotten through to the cushions, it’s a disgrace.

✅ Trip Verified | Good airport but very far from the city, still accessible by transit during night time. I was able to get to the airport from Scarborough at around 4:30am which is very good. Food is expensive like any other airport. Didn't take too long to clear security as it was early in the morning
