"rarely any queuing"
2 reviews Jonathan Bennett (Australia)
Taupo is a tiny regional airport servicing the central North Island of New Zealand. When I say tiny, I mean tiny, arrivals, departures, check in, security, lounge and facilities are all in one room. It's serviced by the regional arm of Air New Zealand and is a a great option for getting into the Heart of "Lords of the Rings" country. There's rarely any queuing, the staff are very friendly helpful and polite. Bags are delivered just a few minutes after stepping off the plane. Food and drink options are limited. There's a cafe, but it seems to closed more often than open.
